I feel there needs to be a Superman/Green Lantern crossover where Brainiac goes after Larfleeze and the Orange Lantern. Even more so than Luthor, avarice is what defines Brainiac. This is a being who has killed trillions of people in his desire to hoard knowledge. Also, seeing Superman and Brainiac play good and evil straight men to Larfleeze would be fun
I think an obvious miss is when super girl became a red lantern in the new 52, the growth it did for her to see why focusing on the anger over krypton being destroyed among other things wasn’t the way forward and the lessons she learned from the likes of guy Gardner and bleez eventually lead to her letting go and being one of the few to survive taking a red ring off. Other than that I think the lists pretty spot on.
This list had 11 characters for the longest time, and I ended up cutting Kara because I hadn't read any New 52 Supergirl other than what was in the Red Lanterns book. I knew there was most likely enough there for me to do an entire video about her time as a Red Lantern and what lead her there, so I felt ok about giving her spot on the list to someone else, since she'll get her due soon.
Okay, here's my thoughts on each entry on the list without explicitly spoiling who each person is for those who scroll down before finishing the video. With #10, I was surprised he was so low on the list, especially based on what you said he accomplished with the ring. #9, that's very unexpected. #8, that makes sense. #7, with the proper context it makes perfect sense why she got the ring. #6, I agree and now I kind of want him to get that ring permanently since it fits his theme so perfectly. #5, full agreement again and that example you provided really shows how disgusting he can be. I never thought he'd stoop *_that_* low! #4, Okay, I didn't think that was even possible. I always thought they were directly connected to the Lantern Battery and didn't need a ring. My first thought on #3 was a flat "Who?" That feels like a very obscure character, but kudos for turning him into such a big deal after all this time. Somewhat surprised he didn't make #1 #2, that's very thematically fitting. #1 confused me, as I thought she was always a Lantern, especially based on all the screenshots you were using.
Jade can be somewhat of a gray area, because of her powers and lineage. Ring or not, she's always basically a Green Lantern...though she only had a ring in less than half of those shots.
I would like for Todd McFarlane to make these action figures. Scarecrow in yellow and black a member of the Sinestro Corps. Superman in yellow and black to be a member of the Sinestro Corps. Another Parallax. The one they just showed on the video.
Great list Dan. This is an excellent example of just much variety there is within the Green Lantern franchise. Being a lantern isn't restricted to just one specific category of individuals; looks like anyone can be a lantern regardless of both which corps it is that they serve under and which side they operate on between good and evil. The list also brilliantly shows how a lantern power ring can bring out the most quintessential trait in both heroes and villains who end up obtaining one.
Thank you for saying that. Jade really is that character who rarely gets the spotlight and is always just sort of around. But the stories that stand out in my memory the most? Green Lantern #107-112 from 1998-1999, where Jade took over Kyle's book while he was out in space. Also the 2003 run of Outsiders by Judd Winick, where Jade was on the team for I think the first 25 issues and eventually became their leader. There was also a three issue mini series called Green Lantern & Sentinel: Heart of Darkness that was all about Alan and Jade learning the truth about their powers and their weird histories...that one might be harder to find, I haven't seen it since the 1990s but I remember it being good.
Me too. I'm really looking forward to Infinite Frontier #0 in March, it's going to have two GL stories, and the cover features John, Alan, Jade, and Obsidian. That's gotta be where we find out what's next for Alan and his kids.

A THEORY I HAVE INVOLVES 2 COLORS LANTERNS FIGHT AGAINST NEGATIVE LANTERNS & MORE: I theorize that the best two colored lanterns, that might be stronger to fight against evil lanterns, are the BLUE-LANTERNS, and the WHITE-LANTERNS. Now what I meant by negative lanterns, it has to do with colors that represent negative emotions, that being (Red Lanterns) the color of Rage, (Orange Lanterns) the color for Greed, and (Black Lanterns) the color that stands for Death. But the (Yellow Lanterns) aren’t evil they are just a horrible group, who have very wicked minds. Now if a new type of lanterns exists in the far far distant future; Than I imagine that a somewhat new set of colors would be the ones who are more powerful than the former colored lanterns. I also imagine that each one set of new lanterns, they could have a moral-code that is part of the lanterns way, and it’s a reminds them of being an honorable fighter when they fight against wrong doers. Plus to add I imagine only at certain times when fighting against evil threats some lines might need to be crossed. Now the colors I imagine might come into existence someday, are the (SILVER LANTERNS CORPS) & a (NEON-PURPLE LANTERNS CORPS) & maybe a (PEARL LANTERNS CORPS).
11:16 you know come to think of it lex luthor orange lantern style power suit look rather similar to warhammer style power armor. Just add some religious iconography and some faces and give lex a full head of long hair and he would be no different from the god emperor.

I’ve got something coming on Halloween, and I’ve almost finished two videos for November. Hope you enjoy them. Green Lantern Mosaic is one of my favorite series, it helped change the way I think about creativity and expression in fiction. I’m definitely going to be giving that series it’s due, I just need the time to sit down and REALLY get into it.
@@MosaicComics it is really under appreciated comic. I've never checked out the Darkstars book that John ends up in after. It is there Kyle and Donna meet first or was it in Titan's? Not much from that era is collected in trades so i haven't been able to read much of that era even tho Kyle is my fav.

Carol admitted that what they had wasn’t real, and as much as I like Jade as a character, it always felt like she and Kyle were an item purely because of her connection to GL history. Whereas Donna is just someone he met through work and hit it off with, it felt like a more natural relationship.

They actually got pretty close to doing this already. You should read "Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps Volume 2: Bottled Light".
I see a potential storyline for RedHood to get a rage ring and become a Red Lantern

I think so. I only vaguely remember the arc where Lobo was hunting Red Lanterns. He also became a Green Lantern during Injustice.
