Great job! This is a perfect example of someone showing the world the key to maximizing this workout . . . and very few WILL GO SLOW ENOUGH to sniff what you accomplished. Most will go too fast and be gassed by the 7-8 min mark. Amazing that you just showed the world how SLOW you need to go and most will not be able to do it . . . professional (Games) athlete being the exception. Thank you for making this video. Again, great job.
Very much appreciate your comment, and I agree that since this is a 20 min workout (for almost all of us) it should be strategized as such. For me, that’s slow & steady! Thanks again, appreciate your support!
You rock dude! I got 164 and was moving like a 3 toed sloth on the BBJO. I need to get my engine in gear for next year! I am setting a goal of 140 reps for workout #1 tomorrow. Will post after complete! Keep kicking butt and posting the motivational videos!
I am doing my first comp tomorrow and one of the WODs is 33 wall balls, so know I know, can I do 33 wallballs in 1:20 hahah. Man, I swear near the end, I was impressed at the box jumps. I would have tripped over the box (I've done it before haha). Great work SIR! VERY STRONG performance. BTW side question, what band do you use for your apple watch? I want to get one that I can slide it up my forearm when I'm doing a WOD.
Heck yeah, just knock ‘em out! And I’ve missed the box several times as well…if you play this game long enough, it’s bound to happen - I honestly was expecting it to happen during this one, but made it out safely! I wear the apple ultra watch and use the band from them called “alpine loop.” I’ve tried others, but this one works well to loosen, slide up and hold in place with a wrist band. Good luck at your comp!
Nice work, dude! This one looks awful. Talk about a f in pity party 😂. You handled the suffering with grit and unwavering resolve. You’re a strong person!
There's no questioning your capacity, but in the first set there were WB Reps where the WB touched the wall below the line. The WB has to touch the wall above the red line. Rep #2 is an example where it touches the wall on the way down, below the line. Same with Rep 16, 33. Rep 14 wasn't even close to above the line. If this gets reviewed by CrossFIt you will likely get penalized. Not saying you should redo it (that would be terrible), but your judge did not do you any favours by counting the WB reps. He finally No-Repped you on #62.
I can appreciate your comment Keri and I 100% agree with the rule (ball must make contact with the wall above the 10' line). I do respectfully disagree in regards to it not touching above the line (i just took a screen shot of rep 14 where it is clear that the center of the ball is above the 10' line while making contact). The entire ball does not need to be above the line, just the contact point which is the center of the ball. That said, I do agree that there are a few reps where it is difficult to see in the video where the ball makes contact with the wall (which is due to being very close to the wall to minimize the bounce off). If HQ chooses to penalize me, I will review their review and am happy to have that conversation with them - I always understand this is a possibility when doing virtual competitions (which is why I very much prefer in person!). Also, as I'm sure you'll understand since you've been in the CF world for a long time, the best view of where the ball touches is from where the athlete is standing. You clearly don't have to believe me, but I call my own no reps even if my judge happens to miss one. I did not do that here, but I knew the no reps he did call where no reps before he said anything. That's just how I have done it since day 1. You are entitled to your opinion though and I understand by making these videos public, I will receive this type of feedback. Keeping on CrossFitting my friend!
@@MFMustache Hey - total respect for your performance. Outstanding - you are clearly in the mix for a Semi-Finals spot. I agree the camera angle is less than ideal. Just throwing in a Judge's perspective. Go get it!
What is this respectful, well thought out dialogue?!? Such madness is not allowed anymore. Only unwarranted criticisms and snarky, disrespectful responses😂. Honestly though, refreshing to see this kind of comments on YT. It’s a rare find these days💙
