      One of the sh€€iest toes 2 bar I have ever seen. The technique is embarrassing. They should be disqualified as they teach bad technique and example to CrossFit practitioners. It's like not being able to do proper push-up or burpee. It's as bad as Fraser's recent, failed attempt to do weighted pull-ups in his private workout video (he didn't even manage to go with forward facing chin over bar once)

      Children's games? Hahahaha u prob have no clue the amount of grit and intensity it takes to do something like this or most other pro sports. Along with the determination and hardwork/dedication it takes along with being genetically elite. It's insanely tough and I'm not even a cross fit fan by any means but it's insane. Same goes for alot other pro sports like cycling for example u may not like someone like lance Armstrong but u have no clue how grueling what they do is. Ppl elite at CrossFit keep up a pace for hours. That ppl who are in great shape can only keep up with for 10 minutes that's how crazy it is

      @@MuayThaiTherapy I wish I were motivated to try Crossfit but I'm not. I'm one of those people that need to be pushed. Also, in NYC, it seems that every exercise class cost $20 - $30 an hour. I get it. Businesses have rent to pay but I can't afford this much money every day and, being a former competitive swimmer and waterpolo player, I know how much time is required to get proficient at something. 1 hour a day isn't enough.

      @@davidhunternyc1 may I make a suggestion. First find what you enjoy. Then build from that. For me Muay Thai is my passion and from there I run and lift weights. People are willing to help you.

      @@MuayThaiTherapy I used to live in Cali too and yes there are plenty of monthly gym memberships that are cheap there. You can join a gym here for fairly cheap but if you want to join classes it's expensive. I tried yoga once. It was $30 for an hour and it was really only 45 minutes. Absolutely stupidly expensive so I did not go back. You were packed in like sardines too. It's insane how much money it costs to join classes of any kind here. Of course it's Covid so everything is closed but I'm looking into getting into beginner rowing classes on the Hudson River once it gets warmer. Indoor rowing classes aren't an option because I would have to travel on the subway for an hour to get there. Ugh, I keep looking. My friend is trying to convince me to try yoga again in front of my TV. I'll try that. I've got to do something. Covid has destroyed my motivation to do anything. A 1RM Clean and Jerk duel under immense time pressure immediately after a high intensity workout. That's fucking dangerous. I enjoy watching Crossfit and have a lot of respect for the competitors but some of the decision making by those running the company leaves a lot to be desired.

    • @callsofscv
      @callsofscv 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's not anymore dangerous than a weightlifter attempting the World Record weight.

    • @jedinxf7
      @jedinxf7 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@callsofscv nonsense. a WR attempt is planned after months of peaking, and occurs in a state of almost no fatigue - just the warmup provided by previous attempts, and reasonably long rests in between - especially if there is another competitor in between second and third attempts.
      Olympic lifts were never meant to be a race. that is a very dumb way to do anything.

    • @callsofscv
      @callsofscv 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@jedinxf7 Your comment is kind of ridiculous. First off, you can absolutely make the lifts a race and it really is no different than someone sprinting/running various distances against each other in a race. Obviously lifting for repetitions and lifting for max load are different events.
      I don't doubt that Weightlifters go into the competition in a state of almost no fatigue... so do top CrossFit Athletes trying to win the competition. And guess what; winners win, record breakers break records.
      Please stop with your weightlifting fundamentalism; CrossFit is a different thing altogether.

      @@callsofscv Yess!! Thats wat ppl dont get, Crossfit is Crossfit, so ppl should really stop comparing it to 1RM sports like powerlifting & olympic weight lifting... And for wat its worth, I genuinely believe crossfitters r some of the fittest and most functional & durable ppl alive!!!

      Tom you are correct. It's actually fuckin dumb. It's one thing for the top guys at this level to do it. The problem is amateurs attempting to replicate this in the open at their local home boxes. High load CnJ after a fatiguing enduro workout is NO BUENO
      Oh, i trained CF 3-4 days a week for nearly 7 years.
