Why this song didn't make the top 10 back in 1968 is a puzzle. It certainly had all the attributes of a hit. Amazing music from a band that did not get the respect they deserved.

An amazing album by a group known for pop singles. 'Have you noticed your alive' is one of the greatest songs ever.

This could have easily been one of the most recognizable songs of the rock n roll era. It's got all of the elements of such a song. The whole album is a gem; it encapsulates what the concept of 'album' was all about.

Great song from a "pop group". This had to be their best album. A really great effort and good production. Make that great production.

Had this in college, played it until it was worn out. Took it to a Bucks concert to have it signed and someone stole it. Just typing this with the music in the background brings back memories of term papers. Thanks lydiabbc for putting the ablum here

Great tune, a lot going on yet it still "flows". Used to play it in a band...I was the fuzz box man...a long time ago.

This is great. The horn section sounds like early Chicago (the band), but I like this better.

You can really hear Chicago in the middle section. That could almost be a Terry Kath guitar solo. But it couldn't be, could it?

Except for this one kind of goes off the rails during the extended solo portion like a limited rock guitarist, where the notes bear very little relationship with the accompaniment. Unfortunate as there were tasty other parts. Kath would've been great and had jazz chops beyond most rock guitarists and would've absolutely killed this, way beyond what 's on here.
