Little Dicky was The Allman Brothers after Duane died. Greg just played Piano. Dicky Betts voice and guitar kind of left a longing because he sounded like scars and experience. Even Charlie Daniel's mentioned him in The South's Gonna Do it Again.
Was lucky enough to see both Duane & Greg with the band - live in concert at the end of March, 1971 in Delaware, Ohio (OWU) a few weeks after Live at the Fillmore East was recorded. They arrived 2 hours late due to a heavy snowstorm in Northern Ohio. One equipment truck with a set of drums was stuck in a drift so we had to scramble to get them another set of drums. Great concert !

Dickey just pheonimal - and Berry's pulsing bass was just the best. There is a reason why the Allman tunes continue to be played 4 decades later. They created such memorable music that never gets old.
