Hey Luke you inspired me to keep goldfish. Sadly last night all 3 died and I’m gonna take a break from goldfish Keeping for a while. For now I’ll just watch your fish.

@@thclemm I think it was lack of airation but after 1 died I rushed to my fish store and bought an airator and the other two were good and then when I woke up today the other 2 died

Make sure you ask before gifting someone a live animal.
Make sure he knows what hes doing. Too many goldfish die in weeks due to sad living conditions, but they can live years if you know how to care for them properly. Big tank, no bowl!’

AH i love all the ranchus you have, I'm actually going to be getting my very own quite soon pretty much thanks to you 😅
but i do have a question about tanks-
I have researched and figured out that ranchu generally need 29-55 gallon tanks, but was wondering the difference between vertical and horizontal (i don't have a huge space so vertical would be ea bit easier but whatever is best for the goldfish)
It’ll be better to get a big shallow tank. That way the water gets oxygenated better because there’s more water surface.
Congrats on your goldfish farm Luke! bro i suggest that you setup an overflow with dripping system so that you wont change the water every single day. i think that might help you.

HEY LUKE CAN YOU MAKE A VIDEO ON HOW TO MAKE A GOLDFISH BREEDING BUSSINES IT WOULD BE AWSOME
The difficulty of breeding goldfish is insane. I once had a mother goldfish spawning every 2 months for a year. Not 1 batch of them got hatched no matter where I put them. I sort of got all the checklist ready and checked before and after spawning yet no chance. Luckily, after a year, I isolated her for about 6 months on another tank and got her fresh mates on her 6th month. Now they have 1 big happy family and got me scratching my head where I will put these hundred of toddlers growing up very fast.

Hey Luke, I love your fancy golddish, they seem like big personalities and so cute. I'm not sure I'm ready to handle them though, goldfish wen trimming seems pretty intimidating. Are there breeds that are relatively easy to take care of and still as fun? Thanks for getting me interested in fish!
honestly, it’s actually very unlikely you’ll need to trim their wen ! a lot of people recommend fantails as more “beginner-friendly” goldfish, but honestly as long as you do your research, you should be able to take care of most goldfish without much issue ! especially when you buy from reputable sources. good luck !! :)
Most don’t need wen trimmings! An oranda or a fantail should be easy!
Actually even ranchus don't need wen trimming that often. Trimming the wen is not a common part of keeping goldfish. You can usually get away with not doing it at all.

Tractor Supply company, or other livestock supply stores will have them. They are livestock tanks.
