It's just not as fun personally, for me to play the game like that. Maybe if I was racing in forza Motorsport then might consider it
you can only do that up to a certain speed and if you car has enough power for it. but its all good now. since then ive rigged up an actual handbrake for it ahaha
1, get better sounds from the exhaust 2, easier to control, have a better view of the corners 3, you can see whats around you when racing 4, because i can :)
How come my adapter. I put my wheel on and after a day my steering wheel keeps loosening and I took it off and noticed the adapter screw holes for the custom steering wheel are stripped? They can just slide in and back out.
I have a deep dish wheel coming and the adapter for my set up got a handbrake aswell but I haven’t wired it up yet waiting till the new wheel comes cheers for sharing this pal it’s helped me out :)

Do you find with the 350mm rim, that the steering is a bit less tight than with the standard rim? I'm thinking of going up to a 300mm rim with my G27, and I've heard a few people say it makes the steering different/sloppier/whatever. I mostly play Rally and A.C, just wondered how you found it.
subway my man, with that adaptor the original bolts only have about 7mm of thread which goes into the base.. i did my wheel swap today, i bought some double length so they stick into the base as much as they did without the mods.

yeh still going no problems. changing the wheel does nothing to the motors. because no matter what wheel is on it, it still has to fight you holding the wheel anyway. make sense??
How much does your wheel weigh and will there be any problem if I put a wheel that weighs around 2.4 pound will the motor strain or something please let me know and did you have any problem till now
haven't had any issues and running an even heavier wheel now. because really, your holding that wheel and fighting those motors anyway. wheel weight doesnt really mean to much
kinda go all over the place hey. but main ones are rotation is 660 i think. centre spring scale about 90% up. and force feed back is 100% (only because im running a bigger wheel. stock wheel maybe go to 70-80%)

I have the "squeak", so I was going to return mine, but since many people have this and said re-oiling the motors fixes this...and I plan to mod. I guess I'll just keep the wheel. Now... to actually remove all the buttons from the wheel and turn that into a "button box" would be ideal.

yeh, had this one for a while but really only use it for the second channel. just because the video files are big as f*ck aha. But will be using it for the build videos on here as well now but stick to the action cam for the wheel cam
if you get a deep one, you will need "deep dish" paddles to reach. theres loads of people selling them but these ive found to be the cheapest - ebay.us/UXhFCR flat one is do-able with stock paddles but definitely easier with longer ones, the ae the only two options i can find for extended paddles for flat wheels, green - ebay.us/lpVrwJ blue - ebay.us/f1g7RL although colour doesn't really matter easy enough to spray them before they go on
whydont you try manual w/o clutch and reprogram the clutch pedal for handbrake, that way its seperate to standard brake, and you till use sequential or h shifter for gears :)

As long as you can remove the wheel then im sure it can be done. Might just mean you'll have to diy your own adapter for it. A little sheet of steel and small bolts could do the trick depending what the set up is you're running

Mike mills done a settings video for both horizon 3 and 4. But, 900 is just impractical and not realistic to majority of the cars on the road anyway. Ive done my aettings to best replicate what I feel in a real car. Even some mildly built drift cars dont even have 900. Spoken to a few that still get the same angle, but different geard steering rack to bring it to 700 mark

It must be annoying, get Assetto Corsa as it's the most realistic driving game on console, period. Drifting in Assetto Corsa is pretty much 1:1 with reality!
MCMEME what... I never said ypu drift with 90 :') forza is better than most thoughand is more open world stuff. Not to fussed about track driving. Got fm6 for that
you wont get any 'wearing issues' because when you think about it... it fights the force of you holding it anyway. the extra 400g of a different wheel isnt going to do anything. it might just react slower for something like drifting when you go to throw it
linearity - 35 vibration - off/0 rotation - 600 forcefeedback - max centrespring scale - max wheel damper - 30 thats about all I remember aha. let me know how those go
still no issues yet, and been running an even heavier wheel for the past year or so. you have to remember. regardless what wheel is on there... those motors are fighting you holding the wheel in place or counter steering what the motors are doing in terms of force feedback.

With the whole problem of the Handbrake, I would recommend just clutch kicking. It feels a lot better.

you sure can, if you pull the connection through you can just mount that button box next to it so you still have things for menu navigation

could be a jammed button. had to remove and refit a few times to get it seated right

yeh, just because you have a bit more leverage over the motors inside the wheel, the effect of the force feedback doesn't feel as strong.

well the adaptor is specifically made for the wheel. and then aftermarket wheels are pretty much all the same bolt pattern

its a steering wheel, if it cant survive a little 2ft drop, then it shouldnt even be installed on a gaming rig let alone a real car...

As long as you can remove the wheel then im sure it can be done. Might just mean you'll have to diy your own adapter for it. A little sheet of steel and small bolts could do the trick depending what the set up is you're running

thats the one i got, or there might be some metal ones on ebay. just have to be careful thou because some mount to the button pad. and some will mount directly to the hub so you take the buttons out

I like my interior view. But uhm you say you dont use 900 settings on forza, can u pls explain ur settings.
Mike mills done a settings video for both horizon 3 and 4. But, 900 is just impractical and not realistic to majority of the cars on the road anyway. Ive done my aettings to best replicate what I feel in a real car. Even some mildly built drift cars dont even have 900. Spoken to a few that still get the same angle, but different geard steering rack to bring it to 700 mark

@@thatbrokegamer. you don't ever, ever drift it real life with 90' though, Its not possible in a drift-built car, but I guess forza is the worst in terms of realism, So I can understand the issue. It must be annoying, get Assetto Corsa as it's the most realistic driving game on console, period. Drifting in Assetto Corsa is pretty much 1:1 with reality!
MCMEME what... I never said ypu drift with 90 :') forza is better than most thoughand is more open world stuff. Not to fussed about track driving. Got fm6 for that

I'd argue the original drive mechanism isn't designed for that "leverage." Could wear out the gears faster
Exactly.. Which is why I want to increase the stock diameter but not crazy so that self steering isn't drastically slower and wearing issues.
you wont get any 'wearing issues' because when you think about it... it fights the force of you holding it anyway. the extra 400g of a different wheel isnt going to do anything. it might just react slower for something like drifting when you go to throw it

Adding a bigger wheel to the base will eventually cause some damage or stress to the motors and casing so am staying with the original bits
still no issues yet, and been running an even heavier wheel for the past year or so. you have to remember. regardless what wheel is on there... those motors are fighting you holding the wheel in place or counter steering what the motors are doing in terms of force feedback.
@@thatbrokegamer. that's good mate u know it would of nice if logitech actually bought out a special edition for us truckers I have g920 2months old paid £429 so I may sometime in the near future have a bigger wheel I have cataracts in both eyes so won't attempt anything at the moment vision is not very clear playing at the moment ATS/ETS2
