I don’t understand how you can spin the wheel like that with 100 on the force feedback setting. Edit: Think I can now, once the car starts sliding, the wheel goes all loose and dead easy to spin.

My issue is exiting the drift. I can enter it and keep the drift going but whenever I wanna come out of it I end up spinning out and losing control
Ease off throttle gently towards end of the drift.

@@CarsOverdose That is a very specific thing you are talking about and much more advanced than OP mentioned. Braking will pull the nose of the car into the corner, handbrake will make you go wider; you could use both in the current situation you described. However in theory your line should not need to be adjusted like that as you always know what is coming up.
@@haribodriving5951 I agree with what you said. But with this method you have to adjust your steering wheel as much needed as you're braking so you don't run to the problems you mentioned.

It messes my driving up. I just like to play realistic and when I make a turn that’s sharp I’m scared I’ll knock over my glass pc. Also my desk is wobbly 😬
I'm buying the G920 for this christmas as its the cheapest one on the market with the clutch, im looking forward to it and your video will definetly be played 90 times over to get the full understanding of drifting.

Don’t do it....I just got mine and the game is practically unplayable. I have yet to figure out how to make it less jerky. It’s horrible. And I hoon in my M5 almost daily.

It’s not the wheel. It works great on forza 6 and 7. On horizon it’s horrible no matter the settings.

I got the G29 and even with the settings you showed my steering feels way too heavy, like at 1:00 you rotate the wheel, if i tried doing that it would take so much strength to turn it!
Lower your force feedback, how much you should lower it depends how heavy u want it

Got my wheel 2 days ago. First time today I put on your settings and started drifting and I surprisingly got it within 15 minutes of trying. Not the best but I can take some turns and corners without spinning out. Cheers bro 😎

For me, clutch kicking is the most effective way of drifting... I've come close to 1st on some drift zones because of this method. Try it!
yeah I like both and use both methods when it comes to drifting

Dude, you're a Forza GOD. I just bought the g920, my first wheel controller and I'm ready to return it. I can't drive with the wheel. I know I have to mess around with the settings so after watching this video I might give the wheel another shot with your settings.
Make sure you have vibration off and set to 0, the vibration throws off the calivration
I was exactly the same. It took me 3 months to be as good as what I was on a controller. I hope you stuck with it and are drifting now.
I know that this is a late comment but remember, the G920 is honestly a pretty shit wheel for drifting because it’s a gear driven wheel ( gears operate the ffb ) so the way the wheel spins is so slow, they say that it’s harder to drift on the Logitech wheels than real life so if you can drift with this wheel then you can drift anything ;)

@@sloppydart6542 Turn off force feedback but the wheel wont be able to turn back on its own (unrealistic) so you have to grab the wheel and turn it the other way

i have the g920 wheel on my xbox one and its impossible to use only the wheel for drifting when some games use x or b button for the handbrake, so now i have the shifter and i hope to get the handbrake someday!! also i did not know you can do clutch kick on the racing games, will that work across all racing games includibg need for speed payback!? im soo used to the perfect drifts with the hand controler

I felt it wasn't enough. Wouldn't more angle cause you to go straight forward. Almost like a reverse entry; but a "sidways entry"

Go easy on the gas and bring force feedback down a bit
Also I am very late but if u read this, when u notice you’re starting to spin out, tap the e-brake or if u have ur brake force in the front with high brake force, tap the brakes, but if u do it for too long, you’ll pull out of the drift

Easy Tutorial! A Quick Tip for You, whenever you want to get a slo-mo clip, record the game at consistent frame rate of 60 FPS and then slow it down to it's equivalent clip of 23.976/24 FPS, this will give a smoother slo-mo clip than that used in the past videos, I believe.

Then I bought me a Thrustmaster TMX Pro and was thinking "WTF?! Why I'm absolutely not able to drift with that wheel?!?!"

BTW, I tried the G29 also but in my opinion the TMX Pro got the better Force Feedback

I personally have it on simulation. Tried both Normal and Sim and honestly you're best off using sim as it feels more natural on the wheel.

Best settings ive seen so far for the g920. The only thing I had to change on this was the force feedback scale. I found 75 worked better for me. The wheel didnt fight me quiite so much and it became easier to link drifts.
What do u set thr steering assist level in the difficulty settings

RTzeexy it’s better if you go to the dashboard view. Then it doesn’t show the steering wheel but you still see out the windshield

This will be nice to use to learn drifting with a wheel and setup. I have a G29 wheel and pedals with 2 shifters (using Thrustmaster's shifter for PC racing) and I'm getting a Playseat (racing seat) to use the racing setup with instead of using my desk which isn't really stable for wheel movement. I can drift easily using the controller (regular manual shifting with handbrake to help initiate drifts) and I bet I can transfer that into the wheel setup. I learned to drive pretty quickly so this ought to be learned decently quick I think.
Does anyone know to fix the delay cuz there is a delay when I turn the steering wheel
Just go to setting for the wheel then advanced and it’ll say reaction time or something and put it down to 0 or 5

Practice is key.Been drifting for about a year on sims and now I am actually drifting in real life.It is obviously a lot harder and I was really surprised but the practice passed on from the sims.

You can probably disable force feedback in logitech software if you’re on pc. I don’t have the wheel so I’m not sure.

download the sdk and follow the steps then it should work👍👍have fun!

Go to the Logitech SDK page and download the STEERINGWHEEL SDK (www.logitechg.com/de-de/innovation/developer-lab.html)
Open the zip file and copy the "SteeringWheelSDKDemo.exe" from the demo folder to an easy-to-reach location
Open the small program by double-clicking on the .exe
As soon as the program is open, you press down on the "Init" button
Now all you have to do is press the left toggle switch again. In the "Forces" section, "Car airborne effect" should now be "on".
Now your FFB should be gone and you can close the program with the "Exit" button.

I heard that the logitech is rebaliable and made with good materials but the shifter is like a toy and truthmaster because its force feedback , the paddle shifters and the very nice but expensive shifter. So what wheel i buy to begin in simracing? (i play in xbox one)

I have found that you drive much better by deactivating Force feedback, driving becomes much more natural and the steering wheel turns much better
