Same, but kind of sad the VIRM was not included and the poor route choice (probably the reason the VIRM was not included since if I remember they don’t run between Zwolle and Groningen, I live in Hague so)
@@Stepford_Empire They do run there I think, but those are longer Intercity trains, from like Rotterdam Centraal or Den Haag HS. But it is probably because of licensing issues with NS, as they have been pretty strict in that department.
As a Cardiff born guy who's dad was a train driver around the Cardiff and Valleys network, the Welsh route is a massive disappointment. First off there's NO services to Rhymney, Caerphilly, Merthyr Tydfil, Abardare, Treherbert or Ebbw Vale. They've excluded the Welsh valleys entirely despite the reletively short distances, in comparison to other TSW routes. Instead we get the Coryton branch line, which turns off from the line towards Rhymney and Caerphilly just before Heath High Level. There's no services to Barry Island or any of the stops along that route, with the exception of Grangetown, instead opting for the rather short Penarth branch which only has 2 station stops before your reach the end of the line. You've got the City line that runs to Radyr, calling at Ninian Park, Waun Gron Park, Fair water, Danescourt and Radyr. It basically eliminates the Welsh network worse than Dr Beeching did. In addition, unless DTG simply haven't mentioned it, there's no playable mainline services in either direction to or from Cardiff Central. I'd have been happy with the SWML just from Bridgend to Newport but clearly DTG have run out of effort. 5 games later and the only Welsh route we get is hacked up and incomplete.
Pros and cons for Kinzigtalbahn imo: Pro: - reasonably long for not being a high speed line with good end points (no random endpoint in the middle of nowhere) - Frankfurt should be nice and busy - Good service variety - Technical variety (the ICE-T can use its tilting ability here and there's a 200 kph section as well as two, three and four tracked sections) - a good number of trains included by default ensuring the route isn't dead even if you don't own anything else, even if they're re-used - most existing German stock gets layers Cons: - no merger with Kassel-Würzburg. This is bad even if you don't like Kassel-Würzburg because quite a few services don't call at Fulda, reducing playable services - no merger with Main Spessart Bahn to extend to Würzburg, this would have added a ton of playable services in that direction - the Doppelstockwagen would be fine because they indeed are extremely prevalent but it's total BS to never include any variant besides the low level entry 4th gen car (there are a lot of other ones which could spice things up) - no north branch from Frankfurt Süd to Hanau eliminating yet again a few services from being playable - they skimped on the S-Bahn route again and didn't put in any effort to make a somewhat sensible run possible (so as far as I can tell, we will only be able to run small snippets of lines) - while the 423 is probably one of the most iconic S-Bahn trains in Germany, the 430 would have been nice for variety (very similar to the 422) - they skimped on changing the Munich interior on the 423 so it will be incredibly unrealistic - we probably again won't be able to run single or triple consists of the 423 which also is very unrealistic as it was on Munich I do hope they do some kind of Main Spessart Bahn rework which extends to Hanau and Würzburg and then add the merger and the northern line to Hanau for those routes because that would add a lot for the route. Other than that this looks like one of the better German routes we've got so far but I'll have to wait for the preview stream to decide just when the steam key will be cheap enough to pick it up. As far as the other routes go, I'm absolutely not interested. They don't add anything new or exciting which would make them worth considering for purchase.
All I'll say is, it's completely free to go to TSW5. You are literally only paying for new routes. It's no different to TSCs yearly (free!) releases. I wont be buying any of the new routes, but ill definetly take the free upgrade to TSW5.
Well, Indeed I also have mixed views on it, there are things I am looking forward to and I am not to. But I find the LNWR situation with DTG to be rather embarrasing, but I reckon that someone will just patch it in with Train Sim Community. But, this also give me an oppertunity to uninstall routes I see no value in keeping, like Antelope Valley, Bakerloo and München-Augsburg. Also, WCML was not off the the best start, but at the best, we can hope it is a Fife Circle like situation where it is actually decent, or okay, or at the worst, is a UK Version of NEC New York-Trenton
We definitely need to see a class 73 in game with GB Railfreight Livery because they operate sandite trains as well as freight trains. It would make a great addition to the game (he says knowing it will never happen)
Unfortunately it looks like the annual releases are here to stay, but I am at least looking forward to checking out the three base routes as well as the deluxe trains. Should be better than TSW4’s base routes, which were all just meh.
As for the Welsh route, I think the 231 will be made as a separately sold add-on in the future, but the 153 has to be added as a base DMU alongside the 150. The footage you showed at Cardiff Bay is a bit weird, as 150s don‘t travel there in real life, the 153s do. But let’s hope that the future British content will be promising and actually good in the end (WCML might be a let down if DTG doesn’t fix the problems that people already have noticed during the preview, how embarrassing)
I like the idea of a free 'starter pack', speaking as someone who didn't fancy shelling out the money for TSW4. I still have TSW3. But I absolutely agree with you that it should be a more permanent thing. Moreover, for the inevitable TSW6 next year, that should also have a free 'starter pack', ideally with a route included so then new players actually have something to START from The only route I'm excited for is Just Trains Preston to Carlisle.
Hi, I'm living close to the Kinzigtalbahn. New partly double deck Alstom Coradia Stream HC EMUs are going to be introduced to the route with the timetable change on the 14.12.2025, but from todays perspective the use of classic Dostos makes generally sense. Though Dovetail's reuse of the 4th generation low entrance variants is not the most reallistic choice. Despite some of these came to the route within the last years, many 3rd gen high entrance coaches are still used to day. The used cab cars aren't matching with the reality too. About the locomotives: Br 114 locomotives were reclassified. Whilst some of them were originally 143s, the majority of them orignially were 112s. With the reclassification the maximum speed of the locomotives has been changed: 112 - max. 160kph 143 - max. 120kph 114 - max. 140 kph The use of 114's were realistic for many years but some years ago most of them were replaced. Today DB is using some BR 193 Vectrons they've rented from MRCE and some BR 146 locos.
I do like that for the first time in history they are doing San Bernardino finally, this is my route, and I've been waiting for this route since the early 2000's when msts was out.
The saving grace for me is that TSW 5 will be on gamepass so I will be able to get the core routes for free. None of the routes really peaked my interest. The WCML has a load of issues and there is huge backlash at the state of the route. The Lioness Line and Bakerloo line timetable is incomplete. Heck, there is a 90 min gap for Lioness line services when trains run every 15 minutes throughout the day. There are lighting issues, ohle issues along with the sounds of the Class 390 being very poor amongst other issues. I'm not surprised since DTG love to rush out their products for immediate earnings It's nice that we are finally getting frankfurt in gane but the new German route mostly uses recycled rolling stock along with the San Bernardino Line. All in all, I am glad about the free update and the fact that TSW 5 will be on gamepass because I wouldn't have brought any of the core routes. At least we don't have to pay to upgrade
@potatoman451 A mulit million dollar company doesn't have resources? Why do you constantly make excuses for them. They are capable of going above and beyond like they did in the past and are capable of making new trains. Will you quit making excuses for Dovetail underdelivering. You act like Dovetail does everything perfect and try to shut down any valid criticism with zero valid points
So with the dostos in some of the gamescoms videos ive notice that they have orange LED signs, its possible that we will actually get the proper regional version of it.
there are a few 390s that stop at MK And if you don't want to get the delux version you can get the 390 as a normal dlc for £12.99 (GBP) not sure what that wouild be in NZD and you can get it from day one too. You also forgot to mention that we will be able to drive part of the Bakerloo line as well, and the line as been updated from the prevouse bakerloo line that we have in tsw, sadly tho we still will not see the 710 layerd on to the orginal bakerloo line nor will we see the 390 or 350 as A.I on the parts of the bakerloo line that go past the gwml. personally i don't mind seeing unbranded trains in tsw as this will stop some routs having being backdated, like i would reather have the midland mainline in unbranded EMR then Branded EMT and i hope they can bring the unbranded cross country HST And Class 170s to the game. i love the german high speed routes they are so relaxing and enjoble to drive. im not intrested in the american route tbh i only like 3rd rail american routes. it is good that they are linking up these american routes as it will be good with the route hoping option coming with tsw5 why should they have just been free updates?? ppl work hard and long to bring these new fetures to tsw and have to be paid, that would be a loss of money on dtg part so i can understand them not wanting to give that away for free, they already give us free stuff with the remasterd routes (and the GWR Remaster is looking really good see my tsw anouncment and roadmap vids) Great vid as always and hope ya feel better soon.
I’m actually have at least interested in all of the routes and the post lunch routes don’t seem bad either, my favorites being the Preston to Carlisle the great western express rework (my favorite line in the whole wide world) and the Dutch and wales route hopefully all the routes won’t be as bad as most of the tsw 3 routes. trying to be optimistic because the routes seem to be getting better these days
I will maybe get the free starter Pack to see the updated version of the GW express route, but that's it. Of course I am curious about the ICE T because it also runs in Austria but I will wait for a discount. Dtg should maybe get rid of some of those managers and then they wouldn't need to charge so much for their routes...
@potatoman451 Frankly some executives should be fired. They clearly don't care about the quality, which is why many routes are released with poor quality. If routes consistently had better quality, DTG wouldn't have a negative reputation
I'm still looking forward to the WCML but going off the preview there were quite a few issues such as missing DC line services, which is really disappointing because I've come to expect 99% accurate timetables. Hopefully the issues will be fixed later, but the route shouldn't feel that rushed with only 2 weeks until release.
The reason stuff like guard mode didn't come with the free version is because it will only be part of new routes, if you get the free version, once you get the free GWR remaster for example, you will be able to do guard stuff on it, atleast from my understanding. DTG said that the unavailable features in the free version will be the route based ones only.
I'm Dutch. With Groningen they have the most anti international city they could have chosen if you care about the pronunciation. About the routes itself although I am happy with a Dutch route Groningen - Zwolle is the lazy pick of routes. You get 2 big cities and a couple of villages and in between there is nothingness. All flat land. For International sales it would have been better to pick Amsterdam Rotterdam as route and then add also a hsl. So I'm scared that sales will not be good and then they say. See nobody is interested outside UK germany. The koploper is an amazing train so nice to see that in the game.
@@potatoman451 If I'm throwing around a word then I would use it more. You set a very low bar for them. I hope Dovetail is not making this and the Dutch community is making the content. The only thing I'm calling lazy is the route choice. If they want to sell more they need to include a well known city from the Netherlands. For foreigners it's only Amsterdam that counts.
@potatoman451 Are you some blinkered fanboy or something? You keep making excuses for a multi million dollar company who are owned by a billion dollar company. They can go above and beyond like they have done in the past. They just choose not too. Telling people not to buy something doesn't make a product immune from criticism. Quit making excuses for them. The people who criticize this game do more to make it better than people like you who turn a blind eye to everything and make excuses for them underdelivering.
@@potatoman451If that is true, than Dovetail is in serious trouble. Because to me it looks like Dovetail can't handle anything... I have seen a lot of reviews of everything that Dovetail makes, and it starts to sound like a broken record. Not properly testing before release. Not checking on faults ingame such as missing catenary or other misplaced content. Pisspoor quality of the scenery. Not respecting the source material. Leaving out rolling stock for particular routes so that you have to buy up to 11!!!!!!!! DLC to get all the rolling stock that's supposed to service that route. Constantly re-using of locomotives, coaches and sounds. Setting historically wrong rolling stock on the wrong routes. The list goes on and on and on........... And don't even get me started about the pricing.
Dovetail needs to do what SCS does with their truck simulators. Just keep adding to the base game with reasonably-priced DLC and a ton of game immersion/quality of life/performance improvements.
From what I've heard on the forums, they'll be a free update to upgrade tsw4 to tsw5 without needing any of the new routes. Additionally there has been further issues with wcml south as from a recent preview stream it looks very incomplete to the points it looks a tad like WCL.
you know I think that dtg should have made new locomotives rather than reusing the f125 my guess is to use the emd f59ph 850-873 f59phi 874-887 and one of their f40ph 800
I was going to buy the Deluxe edition solely because of the WCML and Pendolino but after I've seen the current state of it from the recent livestream and the news that LNWR pulled their license, I feel as if Im going to let go on buying anything and just get the free starter pack also I'm going to be honest, the only things that interest me are British routes so far, I do not care for Frankfurt-Fulda and the Flixtrain and despise the idea of another Metrolink route. The only things I am really excited for is the WCML North, GWE Remaster (lol no Thames Valley Branches) and the Tadami Line. Also the decision to make the 390 payware has to be the scummiest choice I've ever seen, dangling a highly desired unit over the community's head and then demaning money for it.
Being part Dutch, the Nederlandse Spoorwegen (Netherlands Railways) is a very interesting system, it’s roster comprises of ICMs (or Koplopers *NS -} EN Walk Through the Head) and double-deck VIRMs, you should probably research more about NS
Problem with the Doppelstockwagen in Germany is, they are everywhere for real. In The later days they are to be Replaced by Stadler Kiss and Bombardier Twindexx
I think they can get away with the annual releases now that the base is offered free of charge. The paid for versions strike me as a bit 'meh'. The WCML South appears to have some problems; the lighting model at night, the overhead catenary reported missing in places, no neutral sections, and now lack of branding for the 350. For a full price flagship product, this is not good enough. I agree that the 390 should have been included as well. Just 50 miles for a mainline route seems half-arsed as well.
Get well soon sir. The Preview Stream for WCML was a disaster. Lighting/shading errors, 90 min service gaps in the LO timetable, 390s with 1st class at the wrong end, no suspension on the 350s and somehow DTG seem to have upset WM Trains because the TOC has relinquished permission for it's branding to be used at the last minute. I'm also really upset that the new routes announced take the LMR TSW content up to 11 routes, whereas the original Eastern Region has just one and East Anglia remains a TSW black hole. C2C/LTS would have made a great route for freight and passenger trains but no......more bloody LMR routes from DTG, JT and ATS.
I didn't watch the preview stream (I avoid DTG streams in general), but even so, I can't say I'm surprised to hear of all the issues with the route. I'm cautiously optimistic over whether or not DTG will care to fix any of them before release.
8:12 so your telling me that if I get the standard edition of tsw5 I wont be getting the pendolino but I will have to purchase the deluxe edition to get it??? This is unacceptable; dovetail really do need to change some of their ways Also, hope you will get better soon!
Their forums are filled with quite a few desperate whales fawning over everything they do. They're the people keeping this franchise and disgusting business practices alive. I mean at least FIFA will give you roster updates and maybe uniform updates as needed on an annual basis. The DTG clowns just release the same game over and over and slap a new number on it. In all but name only, this has become a live service game. Keep paying an annual subscription to get basic game patches or else what you bought becomes obsolete.
@MrRailfan Yes its free but frankly there was no need to make a 5th installment. Heck it won't even come with some of the advertised core features at launch which is unacceptable
Always interesting to hear your thoughts on TSW. You are one of the few people out there that genuinely criticize stuff. I agree the free update pack shouldnt be a temporary thing. The only thing I'm interested in is the Frankfurt-Fulda route and maybe the WCML because I took that one once while I was in the UK. I'll definitely wait for a large enough sale though. One small correction I'd like to make is how you pronounce "ICE". Honestly it doesnt even matter that much but I thought I might let you know if you want to pronounce it correctly: Each letter is pronounced separately like "I.C.E" and not as one word. ICE stands for "InterCityExpress". Althought pronoucing it as one word does make ICE T a funny name for a train xd
The 377/2 will only go as far as Watford and ends and Wembley which is ridiculous, yes accurate for today but even if it was a few months earlier and would go to Hemel Hempstead and maybe a little bit before, Milton keynes
That and If DTG decides to recreate The Caltrain Peninsula Corridor they should include The new Stadler KISS EMU's that are coming into service soon if not right now.
Hmm I’m a bit conflicted on TSW 5. At least the base route offerings are better than those in TSW 4 (although the WCML route should’ve went to Birmingham New Street instead of Milton Keynes) but we really don’t need another TSW iteration especially since they can just update the current game with the new features and give out the new products as route bundles. I don’t like annual releases for the simple reason that I have to wait hours just for the game to download with the current stuff I have and the new stuff that comes in. It’s a scummy move for DTG to lock the Class 390 Pendolino behind the deluxe paywall like they did with Flying Scotsman but at least it was actually somewhat understandable that DTG put Flying Scotsman behind the paywall but for the Pendolino?!! Hell no, it should be included in the base route like the 350 and 377! At least the new features like guard mode and route hopping are nice and the GWE remaster as well! One more thing I would like to add is what they’re giving deluxe players on the American side, it’s… Cajon Pass… Just pathetic, the least they could do is add the Amtrak Southwest Chief with the P42DC and Superliner cars since they also run from LA to San Bernardino as well. Hell, throw in the ALC-42 Charger as a bonus or a future loco add-on! I’m also looking forward to driving the ICE T since it will be the third tilting train we have in the game after the DB BR 612 and Amtrak Acela Express!
Nice video. Hope you get well soon! As for the clowns at DTG, they seem to be more of a marketing firm than a serious game developer these days. My theory about the starter pack (and it being time limited) is simply a test. They probably didn't really want to make this, but they'll test the waters to see how many people download it and how many then make new purchases. They likely want to know how many customers who have abandoned them will return or how many new customers jump on the freebie and then make additional purchases. If it proves successful, then you'll see it again in less than a year when TSW6 releases. If it's a failure, you'll not see it again. Personally, I've abandoned them years ago (so I do thank you for this space and taking one for the team), but I'll still try this one out. From what I've seen in their preview videos, it looks like the same old same old which means the stuttering will be bad once again rendering it unplayable to my eye. But, I will keep an open mind and try it and see. Anyhow, looking forward to your new TSW5 videos in the months to come.
I was thinking about buying this game because i also have TSW4. Thank you for changing my mind. Maybe the guys from DTG should have a good chat with the guys from SCS who make European Truck Simulator 2. Every time new content, no ETS 3,4,5,6 and so on. Just one basegame and expanding it every year and making it better. When are the developers of DTG are going to take their jobs seriously? I hope soon, but im not going to hold my breath over it. This whole new TWS 5 should have been a free upgrade. And i would strongly suggest to only make a new version of TSW if they have something really new to offer us and not just a few minor new functions. But I'm not going to hold my breath over that either.
Finally a Welsh route in tsw however now they need the Northern Ireland network but knowing them they’ll forget a branch like Portrush or only include one train
This is like the only video from this guy that sounds like he is actively wishing to die. No emotion besides just agony. The rage aint even there anymore, he is just exhausted
I mean it is free after it launches you can have TSW5 for you forever for free. Even if uninstalled it’ll still be marked as yours to install and uninstall whenever. So this one gets a pass. Good video btw
as a dutch person i feel a lot of hype for the new route. but they picked the most boring part of the route in nl. although zwolle is a cool station and groningen is nice because it is a terminus. the whole route is actually 110 km of boring landscape. there are a few stations along the way but otherwise it is actually a straight line. and yes it is the netherlands and we are not known for the most beautiful landscape. but still i can name 10 pieces of track in our small country that would be much more interesting. but i am still very happy that something dutch is coming so i really can't complain. but i don't fully understand the choice.
@@potatoman451DTG already rush projects out the door. New York Trenton and WCML are recent examples of that. I agree that they should've chosen a more interesting route which they are capable of doing
@@potatoman451 Yea they're available on Just Trains. I was saying that because I'm annoyed that there's no Dutch content for TS Classic available on Steam.
Big thanks for creating this video and critisising tsw I always get angry repys to my posts from the easily pleased tsw fans dtg needs major competition to show them how it's done
So they don't give new stock for us Americans nor the Germans but they mostly go all out for the UK..I think I'm smelling favoritism hopefully many other brands drop DTG.
@potatoman451 Thee 114 is basically a modified 143. It's not brand new. DTG could've also made the F59PHI for the San Bernardino Line, but choose not to. They can add new trains and are certainly capable of doing so but ultimately choose not to
Im glad LNWR pulled their branding I wouldn't put my brand name to a half finished product the wcml route doesn't even go all the way to Crewe and cuts off at Milton Keynes they couldn't even get out of London 😂
Time and again you've asked for more 377 variants and now that we get one you just can't say a simple good or even passively aggresive good comment about that. Nope, you had to say that it's bad we don't get the subclass you wanted. 😂 I too would have loved to see WCML go all the way to BNS hell even to Glasgow but it's DTGs (financialy reasonable and horrible from a gameplay perspective) decision to keep supporting this game for consoles, that's the reason. Simulators and PC gaming have gone hand to hand for basicly ever but unfortunately it is true that softcore sim players and their moms' wallets are an increasingly big market that's hard to slam the door to its face. Having said that let's be happy that we got its most interesting part with 6 different trains (excluding possible railtours) instead of another ECML. The alternative would possibly be an "expert" WCML, a PC exclusive add-on that would have been way to expensive so that the PC players would cover the deficit. By biggest disappointment about this part of the announcement is that, for the time being, the 390 won't layer into BCC. That and them losing the operator's license, but modders will surely fix that fast. 16:53 you're honestly making no sense, we ARE basicly getting a route bundle and free core updates LABELED as a new game for marketing purposes. Why should be against that? We're customers not rival companies and as a costumer I want DTG to be doing good as a company so I get to get more products (and hopefully better quality). On the argument for the 30-day period, I bet that the core game (basically the training center) will be free for all the upcoming major sales again as a publicity stunt.
There is nothing wrong with wanting another variant of the 377. The route didn't just use 377/2s. Why should players be happy with getting a cut down version of wcml. The route in TSC went to Birmingham. The route in its current form means that 390 services will only be 30 minutes which is way too short. Routes with higher speed trains need to be longer
@potatoman451 They have the capability of doing so. Just because they choose not to do something doesn't mean they can't model scenery accurately. There was accurate scenery in routes like Sand Patch, for example. You keep making invalid excuses
As a Dutch person I am extremely excited to finally see a Dutch route coming
Same, but kind of sad the VIRM was not included and the poor route choice (probably the reason the VIRM was not included since if I remember they don’t run between Zwolle and Groningen, I live in Hague so)

@@Stepford_Empire They do run there I think, but those are longer Intercity trains, from like Rotterdam Centraal or Den Haag HS. But it is probably because of licensing issues with NS, as they have been pretty strict in that department.
Same :D, i am hyped about it but i think that Zwolle Groningen is not the best choise.
i think they chose this route as a way of giving themselves a stepping stone to not have to make every dutch train in one go

I just preordered TSW7
Pros and cons for Kinzigtalbahn imo:
Pro:
- reasonably long for not being a high speed line with good end points (no random endpoint in the middle of nowhere)
- Frankfurt should be nice and busy
- Good service variety
- Technical variety (the ICE-T can use its tilting ability here and there's a 200 kph section as well as two, three and four tracked sections)
- a good number of trains included by default ensuring the route isn't dead even if you don't own anything else, even if they're re-used
- most existing German stock gets layers
Cons:
- no merger with Kassel-Würzburg. This is bad even if you don't like Kassel-Würzburg because quite a few services don't call at Fulda, reducing playable services
- no merger with Main Spessart Bahn to extend to Würzburg, this would have added a ton of playable services in that direction
- the Doppelstockwagen would be fine because they indeed are extremely prevalent but it's total BS to never include any variant besides the low level entry 4th gen car (there are a lot of other ones which could spice things up)
- no north branch from Frankfurt Süd to Hanau eliminating yet again a few services from being playable
- they skimped on the S-Bahn route again and didn't put in any effort to make a somewhat sensible run possible (so as far as I can tell, we will only be able to run small snippets of lines)
- while the 423 is probably one of the most iconic S-Bahn trains in Germany, the 430 would have been nice for variety (very similar to the 422)
- they skimped on changing the Munich interior on the 423 so it will be incredibly unrealistic
- we probably again won't be able to run single or triple consists of the 423 which also is very unrealistic as it was on Munich
I do hope they do some kind of Main Spessart Bahn rework which extends to Hanau and Würzburg and then add the merger and the northern line to Hanau for those routes because that would add a lot for the route.
@potatoman451 Yes, they can add more to a route. They just choose not to. Quit making excuses for Dovetail underdelivering.
@@potatoman451 Well if the modders can do it so can the developers.

Loved train sim world 4. Cant wait for number 5. Played non stop.
@@potatoman451That doesn't mean that a person can't make a suggestion. They can be in the future.
Unfortunately it looks like the annual releases are here to stay, but I am at least looking forward to checking out the three base routes as well as the deluxe trains. Should be better than TSW4’s base routes, which were all just meh.
If you have gamepass, do still need to buy the game or can you free install it and buy a loco for example the flixtrain?
I have no idea because I don't play the XBox version; only PC.
Moreover, for the inevitable TSW6 next year, that should also have a free 'starter pack', ideally with a route included so then new players actually have something to START from
The only route I'm excited for is Just Trains Preston to Carlisle.
Will the standard version be on Xbox GamePass on the 17th ?
With the reclassification the maximum speed of the locomotives has been changed:
112 - max. 160kph
143 - max. 120kph
114 - max. 140 kph
The use of 114's were realistic for many years but some years ago most of them were replaced. Today DB is using some BR 193 Vectrons they've rented from MRCE and some BR 146 locos.
ending it at milton keynes is like great western express, the difference is, great western express is the 1st uk route dovetail ever made for TSW
I do like that for the first time in history they are doing San Bernardino finally, this is my route, and I've been waiting for this route since the early 2000's when msts was out.
Awesome video as always hope you recover as quickly as possible x
The saving grace for me is that TSW 5 will be on gamepass so I will be able to get the core routes for free. None of the routes really peaked my interest.
The WCML has a load of issues and there is huge backlash at the state of the route. The Lioness Line and Bakerloo line timetable is incomplete. Heck, there is a 90 min gap for Lioness line services when trains run every 15 minutes throughout the day. There are lighting issues, ohle issues along with the sounds of the Class 390 being very poor amongst other issues. I'm not surprised since DTG love to rush out their products for immediate earnings
It's nice that we are finally getting frankfurt in gane but the new German route mostly uses recycled rolling stock along with the San Bernardino Line.
What do you think of JustTrains' Preston to Carlisle & Morecambe route?
Please tell me they update the Caltrain Peninsula Line (they have just finished Electrification)
No. The Caltrain route hasn't been updated; it was made (and is set) in the years prior to electrification.
@@DC4260Productions damn
@potatoman451 Well they could just do scenery improvements. It doesn't need to be rebuild from scratch.
You also forgot to mention that we will be able to drive part of the Bakerloo line as well, and the line as been updated from the prevouse bakerloo line that we have in tsw, sadly tho we still will not see the 710 layerd on to the orginal bakerloo line nor will we see the 390 or 350 as A.I on the parts of the bakerloo line that go past the gwml.
personally i don't mind seeing unbranded trains in tsw as this will stop some routs having being backdated, like i would reather have the midland mainline in unbranded EMR then Branded EMT and i hope they can bring the unbranded cross country HST And Class 170s to the game.
i love the german high speed routes they are so relaxing and enjoble to drive.
im not intrested in the american route tbh i only like 3rd rail american routes.
it is good that they are linking up these american routes as it will be good with the route hoping option coming with tsw5
why should they have just been free updates?? ppl work hard and long to bring these new fetures to tsw and have to be paid, that would be a loss of money on dtg part so i can understand them not wanting to give that away for free, they already give us free stuff with the remasterd routes (and the GWR Remaster is looking really good see my tsw anouncment and roadmap vids)
Great vid as always and hope ya feel better soon.
Thank you for the video and hoping you make a speedy recovery
Groningen - Zwolle has 8 stations along the 85 km long route. The trip takes around an hour, so I like that they chose this line.
@@potatoman451Tipycal fanboy reaction "If you don't like it then don't buy it".
@@potatoman451 I’m just saying that yes the f59phi’s are not in service anymore on metrolink but I pick the f59ph.
Imagine if the Thameslink had London Blackfriars - Orpington or Sevenoaks in TSW5...
Wish they could include more of London routes.
Couldn't they just use london midland branding for the 350 instead since they did that for wcml south in tsc
@potatoman451 Which is not impossible to get.
This is unacceptable; dovetail really do need to change some of their ways
Also, hope you will get better soon!
You can buy the Pendolino on its own on release day if you wish to do it that way.
@@potatoman451It doesn't come with more content. It comes with content that many players already own. It's more of a cash grab.
DTG constantly milking the TSW franchise be like:
It’s like FIFA all over again!
@@StrikeEagle78 Agreed, it’s just a pure waste of money at this point - sending your hard-earned money to DTG for the same game is a waste.
Literally giving it away for free if you own any tsw already. You're not forced to buy a route bundle if you don't want it.
What's the issue?
I think it’s more of a Focus Entertainment (who own Dovetail) than a Dovetail problem
1:04 how did some kiwi (chur ma bro) pronounce this better than the developers who live 1 sea away lmao
390 Pendo sounds aren't recorded from a real pendo. They're "synthetic".
The 377/2 will only go as far as Watford and ends and Wembley which is ridiculous, yes accurate for today but even if it was a few months earlier and would go to Hemel Hempstead and maybe a little bit before, Milton keynes
I’ll buy it if they release an Amtrak p42dc dlc
I think the only reason ill get TSW5 is due to the dutch route and WCML
I hope you feel a bit better ❤❤
I don't know in what country you had that Koploper driving in, but it sure as heck wasn't the flat country of the Netherlands 😂
I don't have any Dutch routes in my collection, so I was using a fictional German route instead.
The 66 is the 185 of UK TSW
Finally a Welsh route in tsw however now they need the Northern Ireland network but knowing them they’ll forget a branch like Portrush or only include one train
I stopped playing tsw2 when they released 3.. now they are on 5..

They can add new trains and are certainly capable of doing so but ultimately choose not to
Here we go again, same old crap from Dovefail.......

Time and again you've asked for more 377 variants and now that we get one you just can't say a simple good or even passively aggresive good comment about that. Nope, you had to say that it's bad we don't get the subclass you wanted. 😂
I too would have loved to see WCML go all the way to BNS hell even to Glasgow but it's DTGs (financialy reasonable and horrible from a gameplay perspective) decision to keep supporting this game for consoles, that's the reason.
The price for the game isn’t even that bad console games are $70 theses days so $50 for standard edition is really not that bad
Why sell it as train sim world 5? Just call it a free update and sell the new routes. Not sure why DTG doesn’t do it this way.
