Well, the concept is good, but I still won't touch it, nor any Swiss routes for that matter, but Rivet actually did alright with the Leven Extension on Fife Circle (although having to a wait a bit for the 158 as well...hmmph) Now, we're just waiting for the MBTA Commuter review, which will cleanse the palate, so to speak.

I like the concept as well but I’m all for sounds and they are ABSOLUTELY horrendous so I haven’t even played this route in years.

On a first look view from me, I am personally not much interested in the Falmouth Branch, I remember seeing it on the store but never investigated further into this route. I take more interest in some longer steam routes, like the Western Lines of Scotland and perhaps the Riviera Line in the Fifties, although even that sometimes makes me raise an eyebrow. Ideally my time range if from the 1950s to 2010s, a solid 60 year gap is my total allowance for TS Classic gameplay. In my view it seems perfectly reasonable seeing as you have a wide range to select from, either late steam, early or modern diesel, early electric or modern electric etc. Nice vid, looking forward to the next loco/route review. 👍

i think this route is good for just a casual drive, a locomotive i recommend for the Falmouth Branch is the 2884 Class from SSS, it handles the climbs well and is pleasant for this route

I had them both a few times travelling to school as they demoed them as a pair on the cross city line in Birmingham for a couple of weeks. They were decent as far as I remember. I guess they lost out to 150s on fuel efficiency grounds. The cross city line was electrified in the end.

I must admit. I have a fondness for this old route. It's not brilliant, but at the time, ithad a similar hype to Riv50s. Ive also had a fair few fun races on here in the past! The Fal Hall has some updates by SSS but we desperately need that PLoD Hall at somepoint! Nice review though mate!

Great review; only a few comments I have to make. I admit this is a bit of a nitpick but for the time this route is set in the name of the Falmouth terminus station is inaccurate. Ingame its station signs label it as “Falmouth Docks” but pre-1970 this station would’ve simply only been known as “Falmouth”. This is because “Falmouth” station was closed in 1970 and the station that is now “Falmouth Town” built in 1970 was opened with the same name as the previous pre-1970 station at the docks. In 1975 they reopened the docks station which had the same name; so confusingly they renamed the new 1970 station from “Falmouth” to “The Dell” so the reopened pre-1970s station could have its old name back. In 1989 they finally renamed “Falmouth” to “Falmouth Docks” and “The Dell” to “Falmouth Town” and it’s still like that today. Also you can get other Hawthorn Leslie saddletank from the Marketplace category of the Steam TSC store separated into two packs labeled as 0-4-0 Saddletank Pack 1 and 2. Pack 1 has an all-black and yellow w/ red lining pair of Hawthorn Leslie saddletanks. They sort of have the cab design of the Falmouth Branch saddletank but with the standard buffers and a shorter funnel. Pack 2 has a black w/ red lining and a light blue w/ black lining pair of Saddle Tanks with taller funnels and unique to the variants of this pack is that the upper half of the rear cab wall is completely open for really good reverse driving visibility. Also last thing I have to mention that I feel the 5700 Class provided with this route is woefully underpowered; it just can’t climb the steep grades. It isn’t matter of you just lose speed and have to push it a bit hard since I be can traverse the route absolutely fine with the Prairies but the 5700 of the Falmouth Branch requires pushing to the absolute unrealistic limit of what the thing can take. The 5700 scenarios had me speeding to get to my stops on time (as in Standard if you’re just a minute late you fail) due to how absurdly slow the train handled the gradients and even resulting in having to go overboard to keep the train from completely stopping with the loco’s PSI dropping all the way down to around 100-120 if I remember correctly where it’s just programmed to stay that way and not drop a single point lower than that. Seriously doesn’t feel realistic at all and was a painful driving experience.

CW Is also making the GWR's Small Prairies. As for other GWR DLC that would work on this route GWR 2600-CW GWR 2301-CW GWR 5600-CW or VW GWR 1361-CW GWR 4300-CW GWR Large Prairies-VW or PLD GWR Heavy Freight Tanks-VW (They do have a couple scenarios on the route, with one having you run a train to Penwithers Junction, run around and run down the branch to Newham) GWR Wagon Pack-CW GWR Banana Van-PLD GWR Milk Wagon Pack-PLD Various GWR Coaches-MatrixTrains/PLD

Even tho this is one of the more decent American routes that ts has made its still quite disappointing that tsw5 is already out and we still don't have the m8 yet the lirr has the m9?

The 801 in TSW does have a diesel engine, there's even a scenario called "Limping off" where you switch from electric to Diesel power, and drive the train into some sidings in Doncaster under Diesel power

I can just feel the amount of money that was spent on all the DLCs and EPs. Did you have the AP sky enchantment or is that the default TSC sky?

There is a Durango&Silverton route for TSC but it's very, very old, payware distributed through some old website, slightly lacking in detail and the included loco has no cab view. The money goes to the real route's preservation though, as far as I know.
