So according to members of the community and multiple photographs... The cab front is actually the correct shape and dimensions, so that should reassure fears that the cab front looks "off" cause it's by design of the actual train in real life. But other than that yea the 170 sounds is the main problem... At 70-100 MPH it sounds like a Scottish horn got stuck in the motors...they really leave a lot to be desired

9:27 LNER actually run 2 trains a day through polmont running from London to Inverness however there run by 800s so the 801s are to represent those services

9:20 “LNER don’t run through Polmont”, yes they do, on the Inverness to London King Cross services, known as the “Highland Chieftain”.

When you mentioned this was one of your favourite routes for TSW and at the end a rating of 6/10 it gave me a bit of a chuckle. This is the state of DTG's lacklustre business. Even when something is enjoyed, it can only muster barely over 50%. And I do trust your opinion on these things as you make a lot of good educated points. If DTG were a good company we should have seen a new game by now running on a proper game engine with modern graphics that won't stutter load every 5 seconds along a route. I tried TSW5 on a top of the line gaming PC. When these stutters are still present, I'm out. When you're playing a game that demands fluidity, their nonsense is inexcusable. I know they like to blame the Unreal Engine blah blah blah. But hey dummies, who picked the engine to build the game on in the first place? Then again, that's why they're a clown corporation.

Yeah, I agree, but I am like everyone else still waiting for the 158 timetable for Fife Circle. I will give credit to Rivet for comitting to updating the route with the Leven Extension, which they have followed through on. When the 158 timetable comes out, will you update your ScotRail 158 review?

I bought this during Black Friday sales, enjoyed the scenery but it is lacking traffic to make it lively. I went from Edinburgh across the forth bridge years ago and passed more trains than this one depicts, the train went all the way to Inverness. Would like to have a couple more drivable trains on this.

LNER trains do run through Polmont (albeit they don’t stop there) they represent Inverness To London Kings X, they run straight through without stopping between Stirling and Haymarket, makes Rivet not including the Alloa branch and up to Dunblane even more questionable.

The 385’s are playable between Linlithgow and Edinburgh Waverly in Fife Circle small point but just wanted to mention it

I agree that its odd that Skyhook released the 158 without the Leven branch, then when the Leven branch does comes out, update the 158 for Edinburgh Glasgow and not yet Fife.

It's because a skyhook employer said the class 158 timetable isn't ready yet but released everything else right now.

They ran into challenges creating and editing the timetable. So they couldn't release it with the update

I could be wrong, but I believe the 170's horn is actually the exact same one from the original TS Classic Thompson Interactive 170, among a few other DLCs that used it - The engine sounds seem pretty off as well.

Hi if you want a few Scottish town name pronunciations, here they are:
Cowdenbeath is pronounced like the animal. Cow-den-beath
Kirkcaldy is impossible for anyone to guess- Kir-coddy!
    Love the videos buddy.

I hope TSW5 make a Glasgow commuter route, just to hear people struggle with Milngavie.

To my knowledge the phase 2 light clusters are only found on The Class 171 and 172/0 Turbostars. The phase 1's i found on most of The 170 Sub classes of 170/0-170/6 Having said that in real life prior to it being electrified The Edinburgh-Glasgow route's trains that operated were more or less a hotch potch of various types. Starting with The Swindon built DMU's then The top and tailed Class 27 and MK II sets then The Class 47/7's with Scotrail MK II DBSO's and MK III stock then i think The Turbostars lastly.

The big lights can be seen on 170/4 units 170425 onwards (except 470 and 471), as well as the ex Hull Trains 170/3s ScotRail now operates.
Also, there was no 170/0, and the 172/1s also had those lights.
+ the 47/7s on Embra to Glesga were replaced with 158s, then the 170s replaced 158s.

Nice review. and yes, I do agree with some of your statements regarding lazy products, things that make no sense in the game and other things.

9:35 I was thinking the same thing but I have a feeling, because there will be a GWR remaster that the HST will be updates therefore making this HST into the scotrail livery is pointless at this time because hopefully rather soon there will be that remaster (sorry if that does not make sense)

I can understand your comment fine. As for the GWE remaster, I'm not sure if I'll make a video about it due to my lack of interest in the route.

@@DC4260Productions you get it for free if you own the original and do you plan to review the wcml Preston line by just trains?. I like the neutral zones and how your train short circuits if you don't pay attention lol.

Been a dreadful route since launch, and not much better now. The "scenery" is utterly abysmal, and the 170 sounds are just wrong on every level. Just a shame it was Rivet and not Just Trains who made it.
