  • This video was not sponsored in any way. I bought the Phaetus Rapido 2.0 hotend with my own money. This is my first time doing this kind of first look review.
The Rapido hotend looks great I like the idea of the string tension relief but I Think the wire connection are a bit small making it a little fragile where it connects to the 4mm screw...
Possible in future updates they can maybe change it to a 5mm screw and longer which may allow for wire to fit inside brass fitting with insulation giving it more padding and support, so the main connection fail point is not on the edge of the fitting. but deeper inside.
I would also like to have a basic fan mount either included or the option to buy. sometimes you don't want to spend time hunting for and printing mounts that don't fit or work.
If you have one of these new types of pt1000 screw in thermistors let me know what your exp you have had with them. And anything you would like to see happen.

40MM MOUNT FOR RAPIDO Rapido hotend 40mm mount by Bemothelaiemo - Thingiverse
If it feels a little loose, you can use a heat gun or lighter to mold it better to the fins of the hotend.

The thermistor snapped on my hotend recently when i wanted to open it. If you want to unscrew the thermistor, you have to turn the screw with the wire not just the screw otherwise you will be twisting the wires until it breaks

Yes while the idea is very cool it still needs work. Look at my description I think that would start. Another idea would be some lever idea slide thermistor in close lever now it’s tight. Or maybe a pre angled ridge mount so you don’t have to bend wires. I mean every hot end and heater always bends up and towards the back like a snorkel 🤿.

@@nv4re well well 4010 is better than the 2510 they recommend. Check your retraction setting see if that helps. I noticed switching to pt1000 I had heat creep issues with previous crazy hotend from mellow the one hotend I never had issues with was e3d all metal ones like maybe 1 clog every few years. I have no installed the rapido yet I will let you know try lowering the temp also in increments and do a temprature tower.
      Let me know thanks!
