Great video and very professional. Nothing is more annoying that watching someone do a job like this when holding the camera in one hand and working with the other.
Great video…. The only thing i would say is Not to take out all the spark plugs at one time, remove and replace 1 at a time. This is so you do not have any dirt or debris fall into the other holes as you are replacing a plug.
was thinking the same thing, it's like swapping out lenses of a camera; act quick, or else you'll get dirt and junk in the one place there isn't supposed to be any!
BEST VIDEO I'VE SEEN YET! HE MENTIONS THE GAP, THE TORQUE, THE ENTIRE PROCESS! IT'S THE BEST ALL AROUND INFORMATIVE VIDEO ABOUT THIS PROCESS ON THIS MODEL! THANK YOU!
I just changed my factory plugs after 136,000 miles. I was getting a "cylinder 3 misfire" code. I figured it was just the old plugs. After changing them, I still got a misfire code. I swapped the coils on 2 and 3 and the code moved to a "cylinder 2 misfire." I replaced the damaged coil and it runs good as new, especially with the new plugs.
Just a little more complex than on cars of old, but easy nonetheless. Very good video with some excellent pointers including tape the socket, clean around plugs before removal, check for oil, etc.
Great video! I’m changing mine today. The torque information was quite helpful as well, I’m not going to buy a torque wrench just to change my plugs. Thanks!
❤ I just want to thank you before I do this to my car I have that same model and year got it ues need small work but I'm thankful with your guidance and support I know at my age I can do it God bless
Thanks for the great video. I just changed my spark plugs and my car is accelerating normally again. My plugs had 103k miles on them, and they were burned to a crisp.
So easy my man!!! It’s good that your plugs don’t need to be indexed and removed a whole bunch of things and replace gasket seals to do it. (Direct fuel injection cars)*
I recently did this pretty easy job on my Elantra and also found out the ones sold on eBay are fake NGK iridium's. They seem to work OK but not sure what the long-term outcome is. There is a TH-cam video showing the minor differences between the real and the fake ones.
Rather than disconnecting the wires from the coils on an older vehicle could you just leave them connected and pull the coil out and change each plug separate?
Thank you! For the video! Quick quesiton! Which one is the cylinder 4 ?I got cylinder 4 misfire, I'm assuming I should replace my cylinder 4 sparkplug! Thanks in advanced! (Code po304)
If you are standing in front of your car looking at the engine, then cylinder 1 is on the left (passenger side), and cylinder 4 is on the right (driver's side).
Can you advise on gap size for a NGK plug for a 2017 Hyundai Elantra. Online and videos give different size and the NGK plugs (.032) at the auto part store weren’t even close to the .044…? Help out thanks…!
How much does it cost for this job? Have someone trying to charge me $300. Only one bad coil.($92.00 for one coil) The 4 spark plugs were $8.00 each. Serious question pls.

Use a clean shop terry cloth towel over the open ignition coil ports when not working on them

It should be a crime to make a tutorial video showing how to take everything apart with no mention of how to put it back together.
The best video on this on TH-cam. Got more details and to the point. Well done.

Thanks for sharing your experience. Have a great week!
I like to apply some dielectric grease to the ends of the coil. Keeps out moisture to the plugs
Excellent Video Sir, Thank You! You're a DIY training expert.

harbor fraeight has neet ratchet extension with a socket lock on the end, no tape needed.

For NGK SILZKR7B11, gap size 0.0394-0.0433
.044 is correct

How to remove the hood? why is that missing from the video? The hood is too tight and I don’t see any bolts anywhere
From inside the car
Hey have you had problems with these after a month has passed?
Yes, one was defective. Found out the plugs I bought were fake NGK. I made a video th-cam.com/video/vpH4O14EBxA/w-d-xo.html
High mileage spark plug symptoms on 2013 Elantra
How to open the hood ? It won’t come off!
Maybe you should just pay a mechanic bro 😂
Why does this sound like high boi doing a car channel...
I can see that this plugs are fake unfortunately
