I managed to change the name from 'Rxbrtsn Media' to 'Spooly Garage'. This was the name for the channel I originally wanted but couldn't get it some how - now I have it! Success. Changed everything but the intro/outro in this video so thought I'd write this to sort out any confusion. New video coming soon, stay tuned by Subscribing!

That sounds amazing does it feel any faster and has it affected mpg

I did this with my VW and it does make a difference, the turbo lag feels less in terms of turbo getting up to speed faster and also it gets better mpg, I think that original air box was choking this engine.
I can give you an advice when you remove the airbox and replace it with a cone filter, it was originally mounted to the subframe with rubber bushing, what I did I bought some a sheet of aluminium and I created a heat shield from the turbo and exhaust manifold with brackets that hold those 2 rubber bushing, so basically I used the original place where airbox was mounted to hold a heat shield, you might want to consider that, especially when the air filter is so close to the exhaust manifold.
      Regard

@@lukaszbat3733 Thanks for the comment lads. I felt a difference straight away in the terms of throttle response and turbo spool time so yes it did feel a bit faster. Didn't effect MPG as I couldn't notice any (+/-) differences. All that said was positive which is amazing but I done it for the noise which I loved. When driving and letting off at certain revs it fluttered!

I just did this today, and had the opposite results, not much power below 2000rpm, but a really cool sound, anyways i reversed to the stock airbox

Is that a paper filter from a honda s2000? Lol I didn't read the title it just played after another vid DOH!😂
If so you're better removing the restrictors in the airbox and putting a free flow foam or cotton filter in with a secondary cold air feed!

What did you do with the maf sensor? The sensor that’s on the OEM Air box? Because im thinking of doing this but not 100% sure. You said that it’s cooking the engine and i’d need a heat shield. Any tips and what was the way you did it?

All you do is unbolt the maf from the standard air box and the S2000 filter fits right into the maf then all you need to do is secure the filter as its rather floppy. I've read the other comments and I had 0 issues doing this with heat soak or running issues. Was on 211k miles and used in -8 degrees weather. Thanks for the comment!

Did the swap. Sensor fitted right into my filter, but I have put in the stock one back in because of the less power it gave me. Nice sound, but my passat went slower with it

Didn't notice any power loss with doing this. Only more noise and slightly more throttle response. Car was used daily in all weather types and was 100%.
