Modern Warfare 4: Shipment. Campaign takes place in different shipment variants, the only MP maps are shipment variants, and Warzone is just all of the shipments stitched together.
I will give it to Sledgehammer, for having 17 months to cook up this game they did a pretty alright job with the 6v6 multiplayer core, good gameplay framework, very decent post launch support and overall a fun game to play, hope they get a proper development time with their next game (which I hope is Advanced Warfare 2 but I know we can't have nice things).
@@RuziNuk3 I don't now man, I think Sledgehammer managed to hit a sweet spot in regards to movement, gunplay and load out building that makes the game more enjoyable on a moment to moment gameplay baseline, I actually really like the vest system and how it allows you to choose between either multiple lethal's, multiple tacticall's, two primaries, two secondarie's, on top of passive effects like rechargeable equipment, more speed or weapon handling, certainly beats MW2 weird (but interesting) perks load up as the match progresses. Also Sledgehammer is much more willing to listen to community feedback than Infinity Ward, currently the post launch support is actually pretty decent as well. I also think that the camo and unlockable grind was excellent this year.
@@sussyman9034 I mean, you can see a fair bit of Black Ops 4 in Cold War's bones, not only the hybrid engine that they were trying to use had sizeable leftover from BO4 but also the base gameplay framework outside specialists is very similar. Also Sledgehammer had done a fair bit of setting establishment and art direction / concept art by that point and Raven working on the campaign took a little of the load from Treyarch. This is not slander against them by the way, I think they also deserve every bit of praise as well, I also loved Cold War.
it's a shame because i honestly enjoy a lot of the original maps in this game and i don't hate the idea of map variants (like maybe 1 a season would be fine?), but we were given so goddamn many of them. idk just how long a new map vs. making the variants takes but considering the output of them i imagine it must be MUCH quicker to dole them out rather than create an entirely new layout, play test and art pass them. really hoping treyarch doesn't shit the bed this year, but i honestly don't know what a "good" output of new maps would or could really be that'd be feasible for them to do.
There was no point. I liked MW2 way more because at least it was an original take. I tried MW3 because I love the original MW2 maps but they got old quick when the entire game is just recycled trash.
Sledgehammer works great under pressure. I know Vanguard was hated, but I love the game, and it has an almost perfect map lineup, and outside of one or two original maps in MW3, are great. And while they weren’t on nearly the same time crunch, WW2 gave us Sandbox, V2, the HQ, and so many other great maps and weapons. I really hope with them standing up for themselves, refusing to make BO6 Year 2, they’ll get to make a full game, so people can see the talent that studio really has… IDK, I love SHG, and it upsets me how often they get pushed around to be literal filler the past 4 cycles, just to give devs time to make the next MW or BO game…
True that, all developers deserve the time of day to make an actually competent project, but seeing Sledgehammer get so viciously mishandled this many years in a row has just been excessive. I really want to see them shine with a completely original game of their own because they honestly killed it considering what they had to work with this year.
Vanguards campaign was really the only thing I didn't like about it, otherwise I had a blast with everything else. Honestly the zombies wasn't even bad either, the remastered shi no numa was actually so good it's not even funny.
This is the biggest amount of cope bro. Stop giving your money to these people the devs included they do no give a fuck about you or the games they make. Call of duty is designed to take your money and time until you are milked dry. If you want to talk about actually talented devs then play literally anything else other than the corporate cash cow machine that is Activision. I think the only two really interesting additions have been the Tac-stance and the aftermarket conversion kits. Don't you think they could have been added to Modern Warfare II and fitted right in?
The bundles can be excessive at times but I do enjoy the map variants I believe that the most cool variant in my opinion is mad cow because of house it actually changes the game style(just a tad bit). firstly the lighting and the water that you can go inside makes it game changing (especially for hardpoint)
It was fun. I got to keep enjoying my MW2 guns and skins for another year, with slightly more fluid gameplay. Weekly AMPs were fun too! There’s not much to say negative about MW3 outside the meh campaign (which Activision forced Sledgehammer to make instead of the Las Almas story) and just a lack of super exciting features. People wanted to go back from MW2’s divisive gameplay features and get OG MW2 maps, and that’s what we got.
Honestly, the amount of maps is understandable, considering the guys at SHG did have more maps but Activision forced them to give them to Treyarch for BO6 content lmao
Amazing video, really well said honestly! It's sad that more people didn't call out the MAP BLOAT which are the VARIANTS. If i want to play Small Map Moshpit, not all maps have different variants, so all the maps that don't have one, get less of a chance of being played on. At first i really liked the variants, but i wish they just weren't permanent... or if they could just not appear together in 1 map vote. Seriously, i am so tired of seeing "Rust" or "Tetanus" as the 2 map votes, same goes with "Stash House" and "Ink House" and so on, even in regular core 6v6 it happens. I just want map variety, but instead we got the same maps but in a different coat bloating the map pool. They've also seemed to forget about porting forward MW22 maps into MW23 like they promised, as they stopped doing it around S3 with Dome being the last. I hope they won't repeat this with BO6, it is a lazy way for the devs to make maps, and it started getting annoying as a consumer to only get map reskins rather than more energy turned onto brand new ones.
Players when they boot up black ops 6 or any other cod game The seasons, battle passes, the maps, the weapons and their kits, and all the punishing bundles nearly killed me. If i could only forget what happened, in the past year even for a second This time it can be different it has to
I just started playing this game. I finished the campaign… gun play was good. Story was confusing… For the first time, I’m actually enjoying the multiplayer of a COD game. I’m more of a Halo fan.
I know the map is Halloween themed, but imo, the restaurant that serves human meat is kinda cringy. I think it could still keep the creepy theme if the town was taken over and became some kind of cult compound that the authorities were busting. Would keep the creepy atmosphere, while also giving the map some interesting lore, and reason for barbed wire just lying around on the roof... But maybe I'm just boring.
I mostly just played Invasion because 6v6 felt fucking awful to play imo Ended up with a k/d so high thanks to Invasion though that 6v6 was impossible to play without going against pro league tier people, so my MW3 experience has been completely ruined because of it lmao.
Sledgehammer ruins all their games with their cosmetics and micro transactions. Vanguard looked exactly the same at the end of it's lifestyle. Sledgehammer sucks

Most of sledgehammer is actually run by Infinity Ward, and we all know infinity ward. But with the ceo getting fired and stuff I hope sledgehammer gets more time to actually make a good cod.
@@TheHorrorArtist2 hmm, I will definitely give them the benefit of the doubt. Hopefully they get more time to work on their own game for the next cycle
I think this game is hated because of the story and zombies but multiplayer is so good. people also called the original mw3 a dlc but that game was also good.
I just started playing mw3 2.0 a week or so ago and I had to ask my 8 year old how to start a game. The UI is horrendous. I didn't mind the game but all the pop ups and overlays are overwhelming.
So, Activision told Sledgehammer to make a game from a DLC and then they did a very good job packing it with content. After 10 months Activision comes in and shits on their work, cutting half of S5 and S6 maps and flooding the game with bugs (I swear, they do it every season 6) in order to kill MWIII in favor of BO6.
Welcome to Modern Warfare 3's final Shipment shipment
What an amazing summary of this games life cycle on to BO6 we go.

I’m so tired of Shipment. Why’d we need FIVE different shipments?! I guess it’s nice that they look different but oh my god
All these shipments and still didn't bring back showtime from ghosts

As a supposed human who for at least one year straight only played Shipment I see that as an absolute win
We got more shipment variants than all of the current GW and War maps and that one Gunfight map that got added during its lifecycle combined. 💀
