Nothing is more permanent than a temporary solution that works
Truer words have rarely been spoken.
That rug really ties the workshop together
Bravo for your layout, Being well organized demonstrates the seriousness of our passions.
The wood shattered on the downward curve of the arc because you were routing "uphill"against the grain of the wood. You have to go halfway through the curve until you reach the apex of the curve. Then flip the piece over and route "downhill" on the other side of the curve. I hope that makes sense.
Yea, I realized the mistake when I thought about it more later. It is what it is. After some sanding that corner is only slight different than the other. Anyone but me wouldn’t notice it without a closer inspection.
Love the Voron 0.2 on the desk. That is how i have always envisioned it being used. Fast turn around for small section of 3D prints to verify fit and function. Can't wait for the update.
Always love seeing how people specifically set up their desks for their unique use case. Solid choice on the Kinesis keyboard, I really love mine. Highly recommend the "lift kit" for them as well.
Much appreciated. Maybe I'll see about designing my own lift kit or something, I've been feeling like I want to try it for sure.
Got the LTT screwdriver I see, a man of culture
I enjoy the finer things in life, quality tools & tech. 😂
Your editing is so good! Love your videos!
Thank you, for how much time goes into my edits it is always nice to hear it is appreciated!
I digg everything you do! You're a PRO!
Thank you very much for saying that! I fake good game a lot of the time, ha.
Awesome setup! I keep my Prusa Mini on the corner of my desk for the same reason! Love it.
Got to love small printers for that use case.
if you like the kinesis, I'd recommend the Dygma Raise as a step up from there. I had the kinesis and whilst it was quite good keyboard, the plasticy build quality and the tenting kits tendancy to collapse if you're adjusting it's desk position to really let it down. The Dygma however, is built like a tank. I love it.
That's the type of project I absolutely LOVE
Glad to hear it, I hope to have a LOT more projects like this on the channel moving forward.
Those speaker stands are awesome!
Thank you! I've got to make a little time and release those files soon.
Looks awesome! I just moved and have bought a standing desk, so I might have to use some of these great tips/prints!
Glad you got some value from it, thanks Prash!
Honestly thought I was tired of Flexispot videos, however your video was still informative & creative…
Thank you, I’m glad to hear that. I don’t ever want to JUST do Ads, so luckily they were good with being part of the project and I was still able to present something more creative.
Super cool project
you have such beautiful editing and amazing shots with the camera omg!!
Thank you so much! I try and am always happy when it is clear the audience is feeling it.
Seeing all your vacuum adapters, maybe check out the osvac system (put it into your favorite stl site) to unify your setup.
I like the idea of using templates to get that curve on the desk, however for a most likely one-off I would have done it with a laser cutter.
I love that he watches Star Trek Voyager while he works! 🔥
Was wondering how long until someone noticed that. 👌🏻👌🏻
As the CO of the USS Endeavour IFT chapter, I appreciate other Trekkers! Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience. Working out how to be able to use my printers for producing Trek cosplay models.
GOOD JOB!
Much appreciated, glad it came across well.
@@MandicReally was a cool watch man!
Dope! Once again killer video!
its already done but suggestions? add a metal layer/layers at the bottom side of the surface and you could make more custom mounts that have magnets involved allows mounting flexibility.
Fantastic video and set up
Thanks!
I legit forgot butcherblock top was a thing and now I want to build a desk out of it
I have so many of them. 😂 This desk, my wife’s, my main workbench, the table my Pc sits on, and I’ve got a couple others to build more workbenches with. 🤣
Brilliant!!!
I try! Thank you!
Nice Madness Tee shirt, also great video as always
I very much appreciate that the first comment referenced that shirt, excellent!
@@MandicReally Madness was the first record I purchased and I was a massive fan back in the day.
Awesome video. Just a note your link for the Beacn Mic points to your stl of your vesa mount.
Thank you very much for the heads up! Copy-pasted my way into trouble. Correcting it now.
I have the 60 degree version of that bit and its terrifying to use. Good call on the smaller one for the handheld router lol
Yea I considered a 60 degree bit but the 30 degree let me do both operations in a single bit. Glad to hear I made the right choice, ha.
Man, that desk looks dope asf.
Awesome, glad you dig it.
Linus is gonna be smiling wide watching this, seeing a glimpse of his LTT screwdriver
Hi Allan loving the videos, i was wondering if you also have a P1P from bambu and if so how i compares to the x1c, im debating whether i should splurge and get the x1c or the p1p with the AMS?
I have one but I actually haven’t unboxed it. 😬😬I’ll get to it soon and give it some test running. I would say hold off a short time to decide on where the market is going ( a pretty short time).
Thanks for the answer, ill keep frankenmodding my cr 6 se while i wait for more news ;)
What is that audio level controler in the back there?
And how do your speaker stands fare with loud music or sounds? Do they start to vibrate?
I'm running a Motu M2 audio interface for my speakers. So far I don't have any vibration issues with the stands. I'm using sound isolation foam under them for expressly that reason (I used it on the flat desktop too).

i built both my desks with 1 inch +? birch butcherblock, i just left the stock edges. Stained black, but way darker, you can still se the effect under the clear gloss and semi gloss topcoat. Big Desk only way to go, goodjob! that 3d vesa mount strong enough? or you bury metal in it?
I’ve been running that VESA design for 2+ years without any issue. It is just PLA with no reinforcement. I had a shorter offset I used with a smaller monitor before that, also without issue. I figured I’d run the PLA one until it failed, but it never has.
Do you have a link to the pucks you used to level the desk.
Finally released the design for these: than.gs/m/926595
Nice speaker stands. Do you have a stl file for them?
I want to reinforce the design a little bit before I release them. I'll try and make time for it ASAP and comment to you when I get them posted.
Thank you.
Interested in those stands as well
Those are absolutely awesome stands. I would like those as well :)
Really like the stands. Looking forward to having those stl files. Thank you so much
Any details on the speaker stand prints?
Been swamped with other projects and now away at LTX. I’ll get them up asap. Maybe I’ll have some time this weekend.
Finally got the designs updated and released: than.gs/m/914326
Could you pls link that "outfolding 6-feet workfeets thing" 😅 this would save me so much struggle when cutting down larger pieces👏🏻
I should have shared that! That is the "Bora Centipede workstand". It is such a handy "pop-up" workbench / cut table. Here is an Affiliate link to it: amzn.to/3XGVd92
@@MandicReally awesome thank you🤟🏻😁
Do you have a link to the file for the desk clamp speaker stands?
Finally got the files available for the speaker stands: than.gs/m/914326
why was there an ams unit on top of a voron 0 at 0:31
Just where it ended up in the pile of stuff, ha.
What are the dimensions of your table top?
72" long by 29" wide and 1 3/4" thick.
@@MandicReally thanks!
This was the exact video I was looking for… then my 3d printer started having problems.
What's up with your mouse? Why does it look 3d printed?
Just the way it looks. It has a sort of patterned segmented look to it. I guess for grip? Does look like an STL export at a lower resolution though.
Valve is waiting for everyone who knows HL to die , then they will release HL³
You could get some wheels
Switched to FlexiSpot E7 too and best advice I can give you: DO NOT buy their tabletops, the quality control is absolute garbage. First comes chipped, contacted support, they send me another one - and it was even worse. Absolute disaster. In the end got a refund and will build my own tabletop or buy ready made one from reputable vendor. The mechanical part are quite decent tho
That stinks to hear. I’ve not had any experience with their desktops, only bases & accessories. I’d think getting a top locally would be all around safer bet anyway.
Why on earth would you do all that mess on top of that beautiful rug!? 😢
Getting a custom carpet for the space was prohibitively expensive when we were setting up the workspace, and we had this one (that's actually a pretty affordable one my wife got off Amazon). Needs meet supply.
may. yes
Yes, there were no further delays at all... none...
@@MandicReally no delays
