Increasing my protein intake is causing my hair to grow back. Due to 30 years of dieting, it turns out that I had been depriving my body of sufficient protein for a very, very long time. Even Rogaine only helped a little, but tripling my protein intake since last summer is not only restoring my hair on top, but my hairline is coming forward, too. A quarter of an inch so far. I know, because I have a little birthmark that was exposed and now it's covered up by hair again. Also, my resting heart rate is down by 30 beats/minute. That one floored me. Without any extra exercise, mind you.
@@DrbergI am 40 years old, no family history of psoriasis whatsoever…but I recently developed scalp psoriasis out of nowhere, what the heck?! Are you able to make a video about this? Or at least maybe refer me to some research I could read about..this flipping sucks! I used to shave my head a lot but since I noticed the issue, I grew my hair out for the past year…it is so embarrassing
Dr. Berg, I just commented on your most recent live regarding help with alopecia. I was recently diagnosed due to high stress and now taking a "cocktail" of treatments, as my doctor calls it. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for sharing this video today. I knew my diet could be my fastest recovery to hair growth and Im proud to say I'm eating most of the things you listed except liver and shellfish. So, i will make these adjustments and hope for the best. Thank you again. And...I love you. 😮
I've always had long hair and I suffered the same high stress-related hair loss on 4 different occasions over a 12 year period. Luckily, most of it grew back; but my last attack was the worst (many years ago) and now I have a bald spot at the top that won't regrow. Easy enough to hide, and I'm just grateful that any of it grew back.
Love how insightful and straight on point your content is. While I was on ultra processed/junk foods I often had dermatitis and hair loss, now on Keto and good habits my health has improved with better skin, hair and feeling great. Thank you, Dr Berg 🌞💕
Losing hair is so painful. I am 27 old guy with a bald head who started losing his hair after turning into like 21. It would have been so good if we had any proper tests or something to diagnose the cause and reverse it 🥺. This hair fall sucked out the whole energy and my youth out of me, left me with only stress etc.
You are more than just a head full of hair, God created us for an ultimate purpose. One should not dwell on trivial matters. Remember that One day we shall all enter the grave and be eaten by worms.
59 YEAR OLD MALE - Full head of thick dark hair. My younger brother 55 years old. Mostly bald and what hair he has left on the side of his head is mostly grey. What is the difference between us? He has 4 children and is always stressed out. My wife and I never had children. That's the difference. Basically the same diet. So don't stress.
Stress is definitely a key factor. Aside from the example of many other people, Ive actually seen my own hair, here and there plucks turn white after some periods when i went through a lot of stress and depression. The other day i read about how your hair actually stops from turning white when you "recover" mentally, stress less and hairs turn white less rapidly. So im working on that.
Genetics plays a role, too. My siblings have very thick, curly dark hair. No hair loss with any of them. I was born with thin blonde hair & it has periods of loss. And yes, same parents.
Stress and diet. I'm from a family of 5 children my eldest brother thick hair, my sister very thin fine hair, next brother medium, all kept the hair colour, next brother is white grey and very thin, I have maintained my hair colour and although it's not thick strong hair it's not thin after taking vitamins D3, K2 and using a red light therapy. lamp, what a difference they've made.
I have a friend that was bald and he used peppermint oil and rosemary oil. Everyday for a year he placed a couple drops on his head scratched his head before cleaning his hair. So it was part of his daily routine. Now he has a full head of hair! He has thick curly hair.
Dr.Berg please mention flouride water and how that contributes to hair loss via the calcification of the scalp. I was experiecing hair loss in only 1 region of my head, and after pondering for a while and doing some research I learned that flouride water can lead to hair loss. I had to use apple cide vinegar and a scrub to decalsify my scalp. Hair is returning now.
I've been about 99% carnivore for 9 months and my hair has almost doubled in thickness and grown about 6 inches. I have had bone broth nearly daily as well.
Eu também estou na dieta carnívora, consumo caldo de ovos em tudo, e faço jejum intermitente todos os dias de 19h. Faço até mousse de chocolate com caldo de ossos, que fica simplesmente perfeito.

I love this video. Prolonged fasting is amazing but make sure your body isn’t rejecting it with hair loss or mood. You should feel good and look healthy
I had a problem with a 3 day fast and I was using lemon water and electrolites. Came to the conclusion that my body needs some protein and some oil (like olive oil or mct) every day.
You dont fast with lemon water it has small amounts of calories and is acidic so it tells your body that food is coming. Not a true fast electrolytes should be fine, but try again without lemon water it will be better. With lemon water your teeth will feel weak and you will feel lethargic and achy joints. You don't need oil and protein every day. People need to fast. I would do a dry fast but that's up to You
Fasting with saltwater instead is best. Of course, use pure salt and don't drink it in every single glass of water, but it's good for keeping your energy and electrolytes up.
This is amazing! Never been the overzealous kind, but Healthy Keto has helped me so much! Dr Berg, I have a severe fish alergy, which I've had all my life. What can I eat to make up for the lack of fish please? I'm now quite concerned about it.
Here's another tidbit: with the pharmaceutical companies heavy marketing of antihistamines this could definitely be a part of the problem since it blocks histidine from working. It won't help one bit to eat foods or take a supplement for histidine if you're taking a drug to block it.
I've been taking 48 milligrams of betahistine dihydrochlorine for 14 years everyday it's a drug that stops the body producing histamine in the ear it's for menieres disease I am 62 and have a thick full head of hair .
I had got the Gastric Bypass surgery 20 years ago and about 12 years ago I started loosing my hair on the front of my scalp. It was nearly as bad as a babies butt and someone told me I needed to take Collagen pills for men so I ordered a bottle of them and started taking them. After one month I noticed when shaving my face that I had new hair growth on the front of my scalp. Now I have been taking it for two months and I have hair long enough to fold over on my scalp and cover the front. The Gastric Bypass really caused me a lot of issues. But I'm going to keep taking the Collagen pills for men and see if I can grow a full head of hair again. I knew that I was missing a few minerals but I didn't know which ones.

Cooking beef liver with onions and bell pepper tastes like beef pepper steak. I used to make this years ago, so I'll be including it in my diet again. I have hair loss but it's because I have a picking issue and I'm essentially pulling my hair out. I've tried everything from hypnosis to therapy and it doesn't fix it. I do it when I'm not trying and I've even discovered myself doing it in my sleep. It's interesting. But I pull out my hair root, so no matter how healthy I eat, which I mostly do, my hair isn't coming back. This might work for others, though, and I hope it does!
Subliminals? Reiki for stress? Morphic fields? Louise Hay books and affirmations? No pun intended but what do you think is the root cause of it? Boredom/stimulation? Anxiety/stress? Those might be worth looking into as factors if you're doing a deep dive and looking for more answers. ❤

You can live a long, healthy life without a gallbladder, but unfortunately, 40% of people who’ve had their gallbladder removed end up with persistent pain and symptoms for a year or more. Some of the common symptoms associated with gallbladder removal include the following: • Constipation • Diarrhea • Anal leakage • Fullness under the right rib cage • Right shoulder pain • Collins’ sign pain The gallbladder is an extension of the liver that holds and concentrates bile. Every time you eat, it contracts and releases bile into the small intestine. Bile begins to break down fat, allowing the pancreas to further break down fat by releasing an enzyme called lipase. Bile is critical for the absorption of fat-soluble vitamins A, E, D, and K, as well as essential fatty acids. Bile also helps you get rid of excess cholesterol. A gallstone is a concentrated cholesterol stone that forms due to low bile. This is why bile salts are used as a remedy for gallstones. If you’re low in bile salts, your liver will make more bile and cholesterol. Seventy-five percent of all the cholesterol in your body is made by your body. Only 25% of your cholesterol comes from the diet. Here are some of the causes of bile deficiency: • Estrogen (birth control pills, pregnancy) • Stress • Prednisone • Diabetes • High-carb diets • High body weight • Liver disease (fatty liver, cirrhosis, hepatitis) • Low-fat diets • PPIs • Nutritional deficiencies • Low melatonin If you’ve had your gallbladder removed and you’re having symptoms, here are a few things that you can try: •Gentle acupressure •Bile salts after eating •TUDCA for bile sludge •Betaine hydrochloride to acidify the stomach •Increase melatonin (infrared rays, improve sleep) •Milk thistle, beets, dandelion greens, artichokes If you have diarrhea, bile salts may worsen your problem. Follow a low-carb, moderate-fat, moderate-protein diet if you’re dealing with symptoms from gallbladder removal. Hope this helps!
@@joanneclark8256 Onion Juice, it does help the hair grow, but I find carnivore to be the most efficacious when it comes to hair health. It’s insane! Carnivore is perfect for skin, hair and nails, since the gut is the root cause of hair growth or hair loss, if you’re here on a keto channel it’s likely you’ve run into digestive issues. I’m bad at carnivore lately because of the freedom I have to experiment, but it works like nothing else for hair. Red Cabbage is good for L-Glutmaine, Onions are also good, but if your gut cannot tolerate greens at the moment but you’re worried about your hair, carnivore is the best response, it’s quickly becoming my only response.

I’m 39. My hair started falling out and thinning badly 8 months ago. Blood work normal, changed shampoos and diet tried rogaine and it’s still happening. Oh my ferritin was low but my primary said it’s nothing to be concerned about.
Dr. Berg. I have observed that human males that have hair loss are always those who have more hair on their arms, my observations are going back 5 decades.
As I've aged, the hair on the top of my head has stopped growing while hair everywhere else on my body has increased. My suspicions have something to do with the lack of blood flow in the body, able to deliver nutrients upstream of gravity.
I told friends the findings of the future thinning since high school. Although I made friends uncomfortable with my observations the fact is when you see thinning scalp hair in their teens, and extra on their arms the future is certain regardless of the food you eat.

@ahbub499 I think any nutrient deficiency plays key roles in the body, so if you give your gut microbiome what it wants then it will return the favour and you will absorb the necessary nutrients your body needs. Eating healthy and diverse foods, cutting out sugar where possible increases the absorption of nutrients, since we all know sugar decreases the absorption of the healthy stuff, exercising helps blood flow all over the body, that can increase healthy hair, but biotin nutrient is important for hair regeneration. I took a biotin supplement that was good for 12-15 months noticed thicker hair, but took me 12 months to notice changes, I combined exercise daily with that, fasting but eating 1-2 meals a day that was large 1950-2950 calories and filled with healthy food only. The calories were dependant on splitting 2 meals a day with 2 hours inbetween each, I did that cause it was sports nutrition back in the day, kept me fit young and I never gained any weight and leaned out with lean bulking. Bare in mind, I've tested the exercise theory, I stopped exercising over the pandemic and about 4 years now of non running/cardio, for that blood flow everywhere, I noticed that my hair has become more thinner and falls out more than before, it does regrow back but thats because I take a lot of supplements for hair growth Biotin being the main one, I do take collagen but thats more for skin, joints and bones.
I have always had thick hair but 2 years ago i got covid and exactly 2 months later i started having hair loss for 6 weeks. I am still dealing with it get it to grow back in the front of course.
Strange question is though even though people have deficiencies leading to hair loss, how does it still grow in the wrong places and disappear from the head?

Even Rogaine only helped a little, but tripling my protein intake since last summer is not only restoring my hair on top, but my hairline is coming forward, too. A quarter of an inch so far. I know, because I have a little birthmark that was exposed and now it's covered up by hair again. Also, my resting heart rate is down by 30 beats/minute. That one floored me. Without any extra exercise, mind you.
Amazing. Thanks for sharing your experience here.

What do you do to help hairloss
Love how insightful and straight on point your content is. While I was on ultra processed/junk foods I often had dermatitis and hair loss, now on Keto and good habits my health has improved with better skin, hair and feeling great. Thank you, Dr Berg 🌞💕

I have like 10 supplements in my routine and I just feel like it’s never enough… I’m overwhelmed 😢
If you eat beef liver you can take less supplements because it has so much of many nutrients.
A good multi, a good visoil (because I don’t consume fatty vis), vit D 4000 and K2. Thats it.
When I work out I take extra protein and I eat meat.
Have you tried micro needle, red light therapy, rosemary oil and castor oil?
Hey dude Hope you are ok. Try this info. Nothing yo loose.
Get smp...I did. Amazing increase in confidence....and we done worrying; taking all kinds of stuff etc
You are more than just a head full of hair, God created us for an ultimate purpose. One should not dwell on trivial matters. Remember that One day we shall all enter the grave and be eaten by worms.
Testosterone makes men bald early. So, take it as a sign of your virility.
Maybe you got different moms? 🤣

I love this video. Prolonged fasting is amazing but make sure your body isn’t rejecting it with hair loss or mood. You should feel good and look healthy
Smart.
I would do a dry fast but that's up to You
Lemon water? Why?
Fasting with saltwater instead is best. Of course, use pure salt and don't drink it in every single glass of water, but it's good for keeping your energy and electrolytes up.
Black seed oil : folat, Cu, Fe, B complex etc...

Dr.Berg, any remedy for Vegetarians?
Dr Berg, I have a severe fish alergy, which I've had all my life. What can I eat to make up for the lack of fish please? I'm now quite concerned about it.
May be seaweed, flaxseed and spirulina can help.
Here's another tidbit: with the pharmaceutical companies heavy marketing of antihistamines this could definitely be a part of the problem since it blocks histidine from working. It won't help one bit to eat foods or take a supplement for histidine if you're taking a drug to block it.
Does Montelukast + Levocetirizine cause hairloss ?

I don’t have a gallbladder. Any recommendations for any supplements that I should take on a daily basis.?
You can live a long, healthy life without a gallbladder, but unfortunately, 40% of people who’ve had their gallbladder removed end up with persistent pain and symptoms for a year or more.
Some of the common symptoms associated with gallbladder removal include the following:
• Constipation
• Diarrhea
• Anal leakage
• Fullness under the right rib cage
• Right shoulder pain
• Collins’ sign pain
The gallbladder is an extension of the liver that holds and concentrates bile.
Here are some of the causes of bile deficiency:
• Estrogen (birth control pills, pregnancy)
• Stress
• Prednisone
• Diabetes
• High-carb diets
• High body weight
• Liver disease (fatty liver, cirrhosis, hepatitis)
• Low-fat diets
• PPIs
• Nutritional deficiencies
• Low melatonin
If you’ve had your gallbladder removed and you’re having symptoms, here are a few things that you can try:
•Gentle acupressure
•Bile salts after eating
•TUDCA for bile sludge
•Betaine hydrochloride to acidify the stomach
•Increase melatonin (infrared rays, improve sleep)
•Milk thistle, beets, dandelion greens, artichokes
If you have diarrhea, bile salts may worsen your problem. Follow a low-carb, moderate-fat, moderate-protein diet if you’re dealing with symptoms from gallbladder removal.
Hope this helps!
Thank you for this advice, also for your advice about onions! Thank you always for your brilliant work and wisdom!
What's the word on onions ??

Dr.

I am on a low potassium diet, could that be the cause of my too much hair loss?
