Your videos made me realize that people who said the combat was shit just simply don't know how to play the game. This is good man, you've mastered it.
Just arrived to your channel. Watched the first 30 seconds and instantly subbed. This is amazing content. Love how you play the game. Relying on parries and overall very smooth gameplay. When played this way, Geralt looks like he's dancing a ballet of death. Awesome.
Your playstyle is so elegant and really cinematic to watch. I've been playing the game with alchemy abuse (four decoctions and associated toxicity perks), which is highly effective but takes much of the enjoyment from combat. This way of playing really feels like you're utilising all your skills the way a witcher would.
After i saw how tight the place was i already hoped he would hammer through them with massive force... and i wasn't dissapointed. He destroyed them good.
Thanks for these videos, you made me up my game and fight with style. I just completed my very last quest in the game and I still want more. All I have left is to explore the outer reaches of Skellige and get the 1 million smugglers cache's out there, its not a lot of fun since you only use the crossbow but I'm hoping to find something out there for one last challenge, I already killed the level 47 Griffon and all the ? marks are on water so probably will just be a boring grind. I'm sad man, don't know what I'm gonna do after playing this game for the last 6 months 2-3 hours a day. I'd do a new game + but probably not for awhile, I wanna forget a lot of the story and come back to it but thanks man for the vids!
Just wanted to thank you for your awesome Witcher 3 combat videos, they have made an already brilliant game that much better now that I have something else to master such as the tactics you use in your bestiary vids. Keep up the good work!
And thats why, boys and girls, witchers are neutral and Geralt taking contracts to kill people or slaughter a castlefull of guards on some wealthy royalty's say so are regrettably non-canon (okay, very, very OOC, he would if someone was stupid enough to attack first or his loved ones were in jeopardy, and the memory loss, of course). The whole purpose of witchers would break apart very soon, if they did. I probably can't use it, but your skills are truly awesome, sir. =)
Than again, he is the Butcher of Blaviken. Not that you are not right. Yet it is a nice contrast and a book canon thing, that sometimes neutrality is not a possibility.
If only there were some cutscenes showing these bandits getting on Geralt's nerves. It would not look like he premeditatively goes out of his way to find their hideouts and butcher them. Just some more interaction would do wonders. Maybe add options for completing these without killing anyone, throw some variance into the mix, because like this, it's just mindless slaughter. The way it's presented in the game does not resemble Geralt, for the fans of the books.
@madmanarrivednow Well, the Butcher of Blaviken thing was in essence a missinterpreted by populiss consequence of having to choose between: making a conscious choice of succumbing to an 'easy' 'solution' and personal bias, to completely shatter his integrity and have a high chance of unpleasant unforeseen consequences, for him and possibly countless more; neutrality and countless innocents dying because of a standstill between 2 egos clashing; or him choosing to be as understanding as he can, but drawing and guarding the line where it stops being personal and other people would suffer just to make a point to deaf selfish ears. Its not like he didn't give all the warnings and chances beforehead. This is why characters with high speech as Dandelion are so essential in his life, otherwise he just accepts all the scorn, accusations, punishments and goes. Except maybe Ciri and the other Witchers, he would not have any long lasting friends and acquaintances if he just robbed or rode by a bard in a ditch.
@@yrwestillhere As much as I enjoy watching irritation bubble through Geralt's facade and tone of voice would he REALLY butcher anyone who talked back at him? Remember that guy you can free who later was gloating and buddy, buddy to Geralt while amidst a slaughtered caravan? Ransacked house with impaled inhabitants near the cannibal village? (Lol, that seemingly random line about pitchfork breaking an angry rant with Gaethan, you can just sense empathy kicking in. :D) Anyway the point is that there ALWAYS was something triggering Geralt's psyche specifically, that made an option of him going against his live and let live attitude entirely in character (not to mention choices not to), while still making it seem like, more and more mindless, stuff other RPGs let us do, to the casual players.

Why is your firestream doing so much damage in the second hanse base? I have combat + sign build as well (no alchemy because it's too OP) and my firestream barely does anything.

+RaxRabbit i understand. so it's a matter of practice, then :v got used to arkham games' counter system, i guess lol. alright, i'll get right to it. thanks :P
Richard Ramos Correct! Practice makes perfect. I also played Arkhams and Shadow of Mordor the difference between them and this is you should wait and focus on blocking/dodging because you are slower and don't teleport to an enemy when you press the attack button(like in Arkham). The enemies here don't have specific attack patterns like in Assassins creed... they attack randomly and usually unpredictable and uncoordinated that is why you always need to be ready to block, keep an eye on everyone and try to not get surrounded. Also attacking first without any tipe of advantage over the enemy(stunned/countered/burning/staggered) is usually pointless as they will block or dodge. You have to open them up, and strike at the opportune moments. From my experience this combat punishes greed and awards patience and clever tactics.
+RaxRabbit well said. and indeed, i also noticed that arkham's counter intervals is longer, making it easier to counter, whereas in witcher, it has to be timed perfectly :P i'll keep practicing. keep 'em good vids coming! you should know that i enjoy your rax's bestiary very much :^D wonder what category of monsters is next :P

Because i just started ans rage quited after dying like a dozen of times at the very first game encounter lool..maybe it gets easier with a gamepad and more patience :) Thanks for the fighting enjoyment, you gave me the urge of installing the game again !!
You didn't use any other mods? Just asking because your build seems pretty complete in terms of ways of fighting. I remember the amount of eligible skills was somewhat limited.
akhilish anand They are skill perks that you must purchase and equip. They are both the second tier of the sign skill tree. To use them just hold the sign key(Q).
RaxRabbit very cool, yeah I like to use that mod with the in game enemy level scaling thing, in order to make the game as difficult but fair as possible lol playing on Death March got boring after awhile so had to spice things up a bit lol
RaxRabbit also that was the only reason I could think of that you would still be using what looks like beginning viper armor lmao, that or you were crazy xD
if you got time I would love to see you/get some tips on fighting archespores in rocky terrain. While I have no problems with other monsters those give me the most trouble, they attack me out of range of combat stance activating and I often slide off cliffs or get stuck at some shrubbery :(
thanks for the reply, I know that. I was more thinking about how to properly position/dodge as to never get hit. I am at a point where I try to do challenge runs (no pots, no quen, no alchemy or similar things) :)
El Rojo already have in a separate video called how I play the Witcher 3. the only new mod in this vid is www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/869/? which was suggested by a subscriber to make Geralt more lore friendly (more op like in the books).
El Rojo that my friend is a part of the game :) no mods here. A mutation called Conductors of magic gives that awesome visual effect. Also if you invest in your sign perks you will notice a visual differences between normal (basic) signs.
Parhar 101 Griffin school skill(general skills) which makes stamina regeneration really fast if you wear medium armor. KM armor is medium armor so it works almost as well.
Sam Fisher I used a new mod that speeds up Geralt's moves making him more lore friendly which was suggested by a subscriber. Also enemies being the ridiculous damage sponges I added a damage buff to kill them faster so it affected my magic damage also. And if u noticed I have 3 mutations active at once on the last base also a mod.
Sam Fisher well yeah it only counts if you take the damage I recieve(2 hits - dead) the second base in this video was without the buff(8hits to kill a single archer) kinda unrealistic but still went with it.This is definitely not to compare with an unmodified game :D I would play a bit less agressive and more methodical like the 2nd base where I used tactics and chokepoints of the map to kill my enemies. But yes I wanted to make Geralt op being at the peak of his power(last base enemies explode to bits when he casts a sign on them) as this will probably be the last video of killing bandits :/.
Ahh... I guess your modification makes sense. Geralt should kill enemies easily, but he should also be fragile and will die in a few hits, kinda like real life huh? I only play on Story and Sword difficulty because I'm a little noob :D Still, last night I was cleaning up the third base. When I was going up the stair at 11:03, a group of bandits appeared as reinforcement; 10 or 15 men with a bunch of dogs rushing at me, but they were forced to approach me from one direction (going up the stair). So I did an Aard sweep with Piercing Cold, then whirled into them, massacred most of them in mere seconds, and got a "Can’t Touch This!" achievement XDD
Sam Fisher nice ! use the environment :). Try harder difficulty you will be forced to be more cautious and improve on yoir timings alot. You will also learn the enemy you face almost subconsciously since you will constantly look for the opportunity to strike
What's even more impressive is that he uploader is playing with the keyboard. The fluidity through wich signs and bombs are used is satisfying to watch - what's more, the moves are executed without too much excess.

Good sir, can you please show your build to us.?
were you wearing the first armor??? or is it just a skin?
실험용계정 first armor but with better stats due to a mod.
love that fist fight :)
rhodan74 thanks ! :)
if you got time I would love to see you/get some tips on fighting archespores in rocky terrain. While I have no problems with other monsters those give me the most trouble, they attack me out of range of combat stance activating and I often slide off cliffs or get stuck at some shrubbery :(
rhodan74 with superior golden oriole their poison heals you.
thanks for the reply, I know that. I was more thinking about how to properly position/dodge as to never get hit. I am at a point where I try to do challenge runs (no pots, no quen, no alchemy or similar things) :)
rhodan74 gotcha man, good luck!
Would you mind sharing the mods you use? :)
El Rojo already have in a separate video called how I play the Witcher 3. the only new mod in this vid is www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/869/? which was suggested by a subscriber to make Geralt more lore friendly (more op like in the books).
Thanks but am I missing something or do you not say which mod you use for the signs? They are different than the normal ones.
El Rojo that my friend is a part of the game :) no mods here. A mutation called Conductors of magic gives that awesome visual effect. Also if you invest in your sign perks you will notice a visual differences between normal (basic) signs.
What do you use to regenerate stamina so quickly
Parhar 101 Griffin school skill(general skills) which makes stamina regeneration really fast if you wear medium armor. KM armor is medium armor so it works almost as well.
Parhar 101 you can check out my build video if you want shows everything you need to know about my game
RaxRabbit thanks

How is your burning effect doing so much damage!!!
Wow that's a lot of mods... I doubt if it still counts as DM difficulty :D The only mod I use is fairtrade :D
I only play on Story and Sword difficulty because I'm a little noob :D
Still, last night I was cleaning up the third base.
See if you can beat Mancomb whitout getting burned! :D
PriVateJoe7 Don't chose the yo mama... You'll lose ;)
what swords were they
headhunter 9865 grandma's wolf swords :D she always made the best. It's a Mod to reskin the wolf swords
