Crach is truly shown one last time just how badass he is here. He's clearly been getting his ass kicked and he knows he's going to die but shows no fear, even spits on Eredin's offer for last words. No one seems to care that he dies, not even Geralt his friend, who just shows up too late to help him. I really feel like Crach deserves at least a mention to honour him :-/
It is quite silly that rats are the hardest to defeat for me in my first playthrough. Yes, rats from the quest “now or never.” They are so damn hard to defeat especially playing dm with enemy upscaling on in first playthrough. They should be in final boss fight in this game.
you make your boss fights cinematic-like, keep it up, gonna show these videos to gamers who still havent played witcher 3, makin the game look more beautiful!
it's funny that eredin was so hopeless trying to reach the sword on the ground and forgot he's got another one on his waist. And I wonder why is there no sound or blood when you actually hit him?
Zaber Ansary to each his own. All of the bosses were equally interesting for me. I'll tell you the hardest ones to film a flawless video were Eredin, Dettlaf and Imlerith. Toad prince was difficult for you if you hadn't used yrden. I figured there must be a way to get it to stop jumping every time you got near to attack. Yrden worked. If not for that it really would have been the hardest fight.
Nah. Frog Prince was rather easy. For one, he can be frozen with Northern Wind bombs. Two, Yrden stuns him rather effectively. Just strafe a circle around him, dodge when he lands to avoid the damage, and keep him stunned as much as possible. Not hard. Even on Death March. All the fights in this game were relatively easy. Strange, I found the 3 crones with Ciri one of the hardest fights in the game on Death March. Not because they do all that much damage or have a lot of mechanics to worry about, but because at that point in the game, Ciri's damage is relatively little so it makes for a LONG fight on Death March. Long fights cause more mistakes over time, and Ciri's vitality regeneration is rather poor. You get no signs. No potions. No buffs. No means of healing other than her built in regen. Nothing of that sort. You get Ciri and her powers, that's it. You really can't afford to be hit all that much. You have to constantly be on the move. Another fight that was challenging the first go around was Olgierd at the burning mansion. His attacks do a fair bit of damage, and you really have to be quick with your avoidance.
RaxRabbit That’s really interessting because from my first playthrough (just finished it not long ago) on normal, Caranthir was the only one to defeat me once before I kill him. Imlerith was easy. But maybe if you go for no damage then I can understand why he would be hard.
For all who said that Geralt is not the best at fighting, you are stupid. Eredin, king of the Wild Hunt, feared by all in all of the dimensions he had been through, was singlehandedly slain by Geralt in 1 on 1 combat. If this doesnt prove that Geralt is the best, not sure what will.
You people don't understand, Geralt is a bad-ass because he is always fighting on unfavourable odds, most of the times he wins, some times he loses horribly, that's what makes him interesting.
This is how you fight as a witcher. Tactical, resourceful and beautiful/cinematic. I am tired watching youtuber/streamer doing dodge, roll and attack and using only quen and igni over and over again without looking witcher's bestiary. I finally find someone good at this game (not with that OP/god build cheese). I too fighting like you. I really hope you making Witcher 3 playthrough in the next-gen updates bro.
I know this comment is quite old, but for me the most difficult one was toad prince on deathmarch when I was about 12 levels below quest requirement (it was NG+, so I was 71 and quest was 83)
Sometimes when i try to dodge eredin's teleportation i still got struck by him. but you seem to have full control over that dodge and also seems that aard move works great here.
Great video man. Question: how are you countering Eredin's sword attacks? I did the same boss fight last night (NG, DM, Level 34, enemy upscaling on) and he ignored parries and counters.
Eredin and the Wild Hunt are what Geralt does when vacationing from all the other shit he does. And you know, I'm actually fine with Eredin being a kind of a complete scrub compared with some of the other things Geralt has had to deal with. I mean, Detlaff, Gaunter, Olgierd, every single beast, relict, cursed one, elemental, draconid, hybrid, necrophage, insectoid, ogroid, specter and vampire in the bestiary, every plotting, backstabbing and betraying character, and maybe a heartbroken Yennefer, Eredin and the Wild Hunt seem like such a breeze. EDIT: For fucks sakes, just look at this face (5:20). Geralt doesn't even pant after he defeats the guy. He's not tired, he can do this all day. Hell, he's not even amused. He's all like "bitch, please, get on my level".
Eredin is really easy. Even on the 3rd difficulty which i played on all three times i've completed the game. Imlerith, though. It was one hell of a fight
I killed him on the first scene today (no health bar), I got my Whirl locked in on him as he was against the ship, he threw me in the portal and another opened up. I think I set the fastest time to kill him, I used Aerodeith sword with 580 extra power scaled and already had it charged, Menticore armor with 4 decoctions on Death March as level 100. That Whirl really did get past his defense, probably a glitch though.
Insback Delspace Yeah it's a glitch something very similar happened to me to the point where he had no health left after the ship fight and he instantly cast his portals.
I had a very high damage build, all I did was whirl and it killed him before the portals(this was all before the patch, now you can't kill him until you complete phase 2 and 3, it was so funny when I did it tho. Meant to be the big Badass, dies to a spinning Geralt.
I think Eredin is a pretty balanced boss for a game like Witcher 3. As long as you fight him at an average enough level on a high difficulty, he can be a pretty good challenge. He doesn't move fast enough to make catching him a problem, he's not too aggressive and has a very good defense, you can't spam him with moves- forcing you to use different combinations of attacks, he teleports and uses ranged attacks to keep you on your toes, and so on. Sure, he's not the best boss ever designed or better than Detlaff or Olgierd, but I think he hurdles that average line nicely.
What’s the sign u use for 1:20 ? Maxed aard ? Ive never maxwd signs in my two playthroughs but never had the chance to ng+ either sad to say. Will do if I find time one day (edit: also whats causing him to freeze or slow? Haven’t played in a while eheh)
i've fucked him up with the whirlwind. pots owl & wood & dmg boost and try to burn his frostshield with igni. i've positioned him at the side of the ship and whirled him into 0. (You have one chance, if you fail, his life is low, but he wont get damage anymore and you has to play the second stage completly.) After that dodge and burn him so he starts stage 2 of the fight. and now he will bring you back to the naglfar. Skip your witcherskills to quen, use and bring him into a position aside of the ship and whirl again. even with his frostshield he will get damage so he's going down.
Imagine you are the king of your world, you get to live thousands of years, you travel between worlds, hunt people and terrorize folks, become literally a living myth then fall to this trap, and get hunted by a witcher. I wonder what he would think before the fight. Too bad CDPR could not put half the effort they put in Baron's story for the main villians of the game.
Hardest boss was neither dettlaff nor frog prince. It was the fucking djinn on Death March, with enemy upscaling.Try and Dodge his wood attack and then come back

Awesome fight. One question i just needa ask: How the hell do you parry? Honestly, i tried for 20 deaths to parry even one hit. I have 0 problems parrying any monster or human, but for olgierd or eredin nothing works, as if i never pressed the parry button. Tried just holding it, hitting it before an attack. Doesnt matter. Do i need to have a certain perk, or do i have to look in the direction the foes sword comes from? Watching your vid it doesnt seem like you do anything special. Did they change it with 1.31 or something? Totally at a loss here.
phishey good question. No clue as to these problems some people are having with the parrys and blocking. I don't know if there is a possible bug or cdpr changed them with the new update to make the game harder. This video was shot on an older version. try to lower the difficulty and if blocking and parrying works then it's probably something the devs changed with the new update.
Eredin: Ahh, witcher, you finally mad i- oh...OH NO *Geralt wearing grandmaster armor with levity and cat school perks with oil poisoning and bleed skills* Geralt: *deep breath* I'm gonna stab you once and let you die slowly...If you manage to fix yourself, I'll stab you again and again and again and again

i was very surprised when i fought him, i went from "holy shit this game is hard" to "this is a joke right" i giant frog was harder to kill than eredin
People who think Eredin is easy don't realize that they were simply OP. If course it's easier if, like in the video, you clearly have your signs maxed out, you are geared out with high level stuff, you can use signs every 2 seconds... The end boss was "easy" because you spent hundred of hours levelling and exploring before fighting it. I didn't, so it was a bitch.

I've never used fire-stream on Eredin before and so never saw that cool shield thing!!
J Connolly it's actually practical if you use it use it correctly
Its because Imlerith died to it, is a nod to that moment in the game. Its like "you think what killed Imlerith can kill Eredin? nope"
Sarah no.
Would be funny if Eredin just left Geralt stranded on that distant location.

Just cast a igni on him to remove his ice shield
I don't see what the big deal about this is. Eredin doesn't do damage to begin with.

@@raxabit_ Thank you for responding.
how did he change the fov?
i was very surprised when i fought him, i went from "holy shit this game is hard" to "this is a joke right" i giant frog was harder to kill than eredin
Not bad.. Not bad
easier really with pc controls and that aard technique is great
What swords are those?
After this fight u must see "papich vs eredin" his score was with him 54(eredin) wins vs 1(papich) win
i could never beat baron's cursed child, so it is the hardest boss for me, sadly.
can güler lol there are people actually fighting it?
well at least i tried
Its hard when havr never beaten the game, its just like a strong alghool, which is rather easy
Ulan Ölüm Marşında oynarken Heyulaları yeterince hızlı öldüremediğimden canavara dönüştü. 1 saat öldürmeye uğraştım piçi
You pay for this witcher!!
Haha !
*You'll
Eredin: Witcher. I was hoping you'd come.
Witcher: You're hoping because?-- *Kris Aquino accent.
Filipinos will understand. 🤣
very beitiful videos
People who think Eredin is easy don't realize that they were simply OP. If course it's easier if, like in the video, you clearly have your signs maxed out, you are geared out with high level stuff, you can use signs every 2 seconds... The end boss was "easy" because you spent hundred of hours levelling and exploring before fighting it. I didn't, so it was a bitch.
