When I’m at the last part where it says “pc may restart several times” it says restarting pc now but instead it shuts the pc down and when I turn it back on it loading and says “undoing changed made to your computer” Also it always gives me the option to update and it never works because it either shuts down or fails to finish update so I tried this and the pc shuts down instead of restarting (also there isn’t a ‘restart’ option there’s only a ‘restart and update’ option)
Are you currently using Windows 8 or Windows 8.1? Do you have an active version with a legitimate product key for Microsoft? It really seems like there’s something wrong with your current version of Windows, since when it tries to apply any updates, not just this one, it shuts down.
I only heard about that issue from him, I’m not sure if Nuix still has a problem because he didn’t reply to me. One of the reasons it reverts back is if you don’t have enough storage space. While it only needs 8 GB free, I would have at least 15 GB free as a buffer.

Since I have a pretty good CPU Intel Core i5 @ 2.60 GHz along with a video adapter GeForce GT750M, it is a still reasonable device ready to go ahead for some years more.
Awesome, you got a good plan, but you also need to think about upgrading the motherboard and graphics card as well. 2014 was six years ago.
November 2020 and it still works thanks man
Appreciate the support!
This video was very helpful for me... I'll thank this channel to make such an amazing video.....
Much appreciated, thank you!
Oh man! This really worked I can't thank You enough! I always thought it cost money to upgrade! You explained everything very nicely well done!
Thank you for the compliments, and I am glad you are up and running with Windows 10.
18th Dec 2020. This worked great! Thanks!
How much time did it take ?
@@adityarampraveshchauhan3873 i let it run all night...it takes quite a while
You are very welcome!
Thank you :) windows 8.1 is about to end support in 2023 and I want to keep my laptop up to date and safe from viruses, malwares and hackers
Smart move, I admittedly will forever miss Windows 7, but Windows 10 is way better than Windows 8, so I will take it.
@@TutorTerrific where can i buy an SSD, because my laptop is running very slowly after upgrading to Windows 10?
31 July 2021 and it's still working thank u for this awesome video 😍
Subbed very helpful my guy! WOW after a year still wrks
Thanks my guy!
does it save everything on ur computer?
Ohhhh god a lot of waiting🥺🥺 but thank u 💕💕
Yes indeed, but the end result was worth it, right?
Thank you so much I had an old laptop which was running Windows 8 I watched this video to help me it never worked first try because it was stuck at 46 percent then I factory reset it because I had useless files and I tried it again and after 3 hours I was in windows 10.
Much appreciated man, I haven’t heard that people have to do the factory reset for a while, it’s good to know it still works when you’re stuck!
Question, I got to this part 9:02 in the installation but then it just displayed a message, Windows 10 Failed to Download. what do I do
2013 manufactured laptop, upgrating from Windows 8.1,6 hours installation, it worked!
Thanks a lot!
sameee, my laptop is HP Probook 4530s from windows 7 to 10
I am glad that is worked for both of you guys!
@@TutorTerrific does the installing windows take forever?
Well, Depends how you define forever. People have reported anything from a couple hours to almost 24 hours.
@@TutorTerrific nevermind it's done thanks for the amazing video 😁
Can someone explain me how does this excellent youtuber has 781 subs?
This youtuber is the best
Wow, a very kind compliment!
Thank you a lot at first i was scared but now i am really happy

Woohoo, glad you got through it!
Thanks, now my kids can use my old laptop for school!
Awesome, thank you.
um mine gets to the download screen then just stops goes back to my homescreen and says "windows 10 installation failed"
THAT IS FRICKING AWESOME THANK YOU SO MUCH
It is awesome! I am so glad Microsoft allowed this upgrade to be free!
this guy has 3 different voices i swear Lmaooo
Here’s the problem, when I screen cast with Wondershare Fillmora 9, it actually records and plays back slightly slower than real time. It’s like a forced voice modulator.
@@TutorTerrific ohh
@@TutorTerrific but thanks for helping me upgrade my pc lmao
Nice Vid...Thanks...Everything when just as smooth as shown here :)
Much appreciated, glad it served you well.
Great thanks, in 5.5 hours i updated Windows 8 to Windows 10.🤗
Nice, glad it worked so quickly!
I did it on Jan 17th 2021 !!! It works! upgraded from windowns 8.1. Thank you!!! Note: after this, a folder "Windows.old" is created and contain over 150 gig of data, I searched on internet and they said it will be auto deleted after 10 days. so i will check it after Jan 27th 2021 to see if will be auto deleted.
Excellent, please let me know then if it successfully deletes. It’s a lot of bloatware that is completely unnecessary.
Wow! Amazing. You earned a sub
Much appreciated!
THANK YOU SOO MUCH IM SOO EXITED!!!!
How do you like windows 10 so far?
I did this with a Mac running 8.1 on boot camp and boot camp did just perfect
Good to know it works in boot camp. I would sure love to know if it works with Windows Parallel.
Its 24/09/21.
Wow I think it's working.
Process is soo clear .
Thanks mann
Let me know if it makes it all the way through :)
Did work but it's not starting plz plz help my it's showing only the opening page
Do you mean that it shows the windows 10 icon, or it gets all the way to your sign-in page?
Not click bait. Very factual and helpful, thanks for video. I finally needed to upgrade to run a new shooting game (modern warfare).
Much appreciated support. Hope your gaming goes smoothly!
@@TutorTerrific I interrupted the first attempt when my system seemed to get hung up at the 23 per cent mark of upgrades. My system reverted to windows 8.1 but I tried again and it finally installed and my game worked with the direct x of windows 10.
@@michaelskywalker3089 Does modern work now?
It is a game that requires Direct x 12 which is only bundled with Win 10, but it works fine. I do not see the difference between direct x11 and 12 but win 10 gives more security but less user control over the interfaces.
@@michaelskywalker3089 but it doesn't give you more ram so if you did not have enough ram before will it work after 🤔
Thank you I really appreciate it! Subscribed, keep the great content coming! 💯
I really appreciate it. I have some iPhone videos coming out next.
I tried this and it took about an hour -- and at the end, it said that Windows 10 installation had failed. Any tips?

Omgggg thx soooo much i subscribed to you because u helped me soo much but the update for me took 40min
Wow, that’s a literally a record! I’ve never seen it go that quickly!
Can I ask if it was a PC or laptop and your processor info
@@RAdams its a laptop lenovo ideapad y510p
@@basketballjr504 crap that's what I have. Thank you.
@@RAdams well you should try this windows 10 update and you'll see its fast and get close to your wifi while upgrading
When I’m at the last part where it says “pc may restart several times” it says restarting pc now but instead it shuts the pc down and when I turn it back on it loading and says “undoing changed made to your computer”
Also it always gives me the option to update and it never works because it either shuts down or fails to finish update so I tried this and the pc shuts down instead of restarting (also there isn’t a ‘restart’ option there’s only a ‘restart and update’ option)
Are you currently using Windows 8 or Windows 8.1? Do you have an active version with a legitimate product key for Microsoft? It really seems like there’s something wrong with your current version of Windows, since when it tries to apply any updates, not just this one, it shuts down.
Tutor Terrific if im currently using Windows 8.1 will the same issure occure as it did for Nuix?
I only heard about that issue from him, I’m not sure if Nuix still has a problem because he didn’t reply to me. One of the reasons it reverts back is if you don’t have enough storage space. While it only needs 8 GB free, I would have at least 15 GB free as a buffer.
The same thing happened to me. Do you know of any fix to it
@@Steven-ej9pg hey ru using a pirated window or its original?

I am really glad the link still works and Microsoft still supports the upgrade, its awesome!
ADAM VITALE no, all your files are going to be intact... I still have to go through the process again because I wasn’t up to date with all the updates on the computer, but there is no reason why your files would be deleted
sure wish updating my pc is easy like this on the video. i've been waiting for 3hours and still it's not finish
A lot of people have this problem, especially getting past 46%. Check my pinned comment for a link to a potential fix.
Me too!
i've been waiting for one whole day
Does this actually work? I just want to know before I try it
(Not saying the comments are fake I just want to be sure)
It does, I have done it myself on another device besides the device in this video, and it worked the first time I tried it.
Tutor Terrific then why is there another pc on the last part of the video
Check my pinned comment for the answer to that. Other than the video itself, I have completed this process successfully.
Every time i get to the actually installing part then it just says it failed
I tried twice to install windows 10 on windows 8.1 but it failed both times
Thanks so much I looked up 2 other things before I came here and yours worked thanks
You’re welcome, I’m glad it worked for you.
Worked perfectly took my computer about 1 hour it is a fast computer tho...

i really liked your video, and explanation stuff, i was really confused on how to get the product key while installing from my win8 to win10, this video gave me the complete stuff to understand and execute it.thanks to you bro..

It didn't work, the system say it failed to update, i was waiting for 5 hours and i get this?? Is there have another way to fix this probleme??? :(
Have I fixed it?
My windows 8 is not activated can i upgrade to windows 10 trial version ?
Unfortunately, this method won’t work unless you have an active version of your current windows. You need to get yourself a product key to activate it first.

GUYS HELP PLEASE! I've been trying to update my w. 8.1 to w. 10 but I WONT WANT TO! It just goes on normaly until you get to the blue screen where its installing. There it goes to 70ish% and : windows 10 instalation failed. EVERYTIME! I seriously do mot know what to do anymore... please can anyone help me? My computer also wont install updates for some reason...
It didn't update though, it said windows 10 installation has failed. I tired many times.😔😑
For me this method doesn't work. After getting through the "what data do you want to conserve"-step it starts the update, shuts down once and then goes back up with the error message that windows updated failed.
I've tried basically everything that there is to try...
@@lebronjames3019 yo, so I got it to work. I used the mediacreation tool to make a install document on a flash drive, then I did a clean restart, plugged in the flashdrive to start the installation, it failed first time, but second time I tried it worked like that. I think the combo of the clean restart+installing from flash drive might do the trick
Thank you for posting this. I added it as a potential solution to my video description
why don't you just put the product key you used in the description
By that, do you mean just to let it find and use your existing product key? That does seem to work for some people, but I’m getting so many comments regarding how it doesn’t let some users continue unless they put their actual product key in. That is why I posted what I did in the top of my pinned comment.
@@TutorTerrific well that meand I'm screwed then because I tried soo many keys and it won't work
So many keys? Only one product key will work, and that is the one that was used to activate your current version of Windows. Do you have a current active version of Windows?
