Hi there. I have the alarm clock too and it still works after months in operations. i LOVE IT! And I don't think it's fair to write that you must avoid this product because your was faulty. I think you should contact customer care and simply get a new one. Any product line can have a product flaw and doesn't mean that you would never buy. I mean I can buy a bag of apples and one can be rotten - doesn't mean that I would never buy apples from that brand again...I can understand your irritation about the week alarm... I got woken up at 6 on a saturday which was super annoying - also got a 2 year old and that extra hour you can sleep is absolutely priceless! So yes not so great - but learned from my mistake and hope Philips is listening in and do some product development on that one!
After my 2nd call in, They've agreed to replace the clock, and said that they will pay for return shipping for the defective product. I'll post a new review once I get the working unit.
I just got the replacement! It was a bit of surprise as they warned me it was out of stock until February 24th. I'll do an updated review in the coming weeks as I adjust to its use.
Just ordered mine from amazon for 179.99 you save 20 bucks as a prime member. Hope ill be worth. If it is definitely getting another one off my parents
I love this thing I have it at home it’s literally changed my life it’s so peaceful and triggers your brain to get up and such a natural way I am so happy and it change my life amazing
I absolutely LOVE to sleep in on weekends. Only problem, I can't. I end up waking about an hour before my usual. Guess I just don't want to miss out on whatever life I have left. Still wanna but it.
I have the "Phillips Wake-up Light HF3520/01" And i am very-very satisfied with mine. Been using it for years and years, can't even remember when i bought it anymore, but extremely satisfied with mine. Expensive (bought it for some ~2.000+ Swedish/SEK/Kronors), but worth it if you like to wake up with the sunrise during dark winter mornings. Sleep with a sunset. I only use the chosen sound (not sunrise to save the bulb/s lifetime), that gradually increases slowly with harmony when it's time to wake up. I use the radio with a channel that plays classical symphonies when i go to sleep, set my volume (one time fix) and turn on the timer to 20~30 min, (one time fix) depending how tired i am, without the "sunset mode", the volume gradually decreases with time. Been using it every single night since i bought it. Love it!
This is my most disliked video ever so there's a lot of people who love this product. I believe this was an early version and it looks like they've improved it in the years since I've reviewed (and since thrown out, as the second one died as well) this product.
I bought this two weeks ago, I went to set it last night and the display completely disappeared! Spoke to Amazon and after doing a factory reset and still no joy they agreed for me to return. I have ordered a new one as I love the product, fingers crossed the new one isn’t defective 🤞🏼 (I did ask Amazon for a replacement, but they refunded me instead, explaining that because I bought it on offer, they had to refund rather than replace 🤔) I find it terribly difficult to get out of bed during the winter months and this has been a godsend for me ☺️🙏🏼
Love the concept of wake lights. Started having mixed feelings learning that in the era of smart devices it still doesn't know what day of week it is. But FM radio pretty much convinced me i'm not buying this. The only thing worse would be that intense, angry BEEP BEEP BEEP alarm and no volume control :).
0:40 In the app, if you go to alarms, select repeat on, and then deselect the days you don't want. I have it set for Mon/Tues and Thurs/Fri as those are the only four days I need to have an alarm wake me.
7:28 Reset button maybe? In the bag with the antenna there is a double mic. As I say, App will hook you up. The app does track volume, humidity, light and temp. I have the "Philips Somneo Connected Sleep & Wake-Up Light therapy with AmbiTrack, Sunrise Alarm Clock and Sunset RelaxBreathe Wind Down,White, HF3670 /60" which was $199 so maybe you have a different model as you said $80.
I wonder if this is the reason I saw a very slightly different model on Philip's website. The specifications showed the only differences were one extra wake up time, one extra sleep time, but most notably it seems that the maximum light level is slightly decreased.
I was about to order one of these from amazon until I found an unfinished product page for what seems to be a full fledged new model. The model number is much bigger than all the rest and while the specifications are unfinished, it says it's going to be smartphone controlled. www.usa.philips.com/c-p/HF3671_60/somneo-sleep-and-wake-up-light/specifications
So used to waking up to light over the past 13-15 yrs, that I cannot do without. I’m on my 4th Philips. I like their first model a lot as settings were straightforward and it lasted for 8 years. Since they introduced the awkward round ones not too happy. Way overpriced for the quality. Plug in at the back didnt always connect so I needed to twist and turn it and then not move the light. Settings are a nuisance. New one with the hole: cannot connect to WIFI. Cant use the app. Setting it still a nuisance. Philips stopped being what it used to be - smart, innovative & solid - a decade ago.
Carlie Evans because the first one I got died in a week or two, it took a month to replace, it sounds bad, and doesn’t even have a weekend/programmable mode. For 200 bucks, it should be avoided.
@@Sudz3 "Philips Somneo Connected Sleep & Wake-Up Light therapy with AmbiTrack, Sunrise Alarm Clock and Sunset RelaxBreathe Wind Down,White, HF3670 /60" that I got uses the app that allows for picking your days that you want to repeat the alarm.
Philips 3520 is older and half the price $99. Maybe the main differences being a relaxed breathing feature and they removed physical buttons on the newer model. Do you think this newer model 3560 is worth the $199? Also i saw a complaint of difficulty reading the time when the light is on...do you think that's legit?
The light is very clear and warm, easy to read to. I don’t think any alarm without “day of week” settings is worth more than 40 bucks. I stopped using this because I’d like to sleep in an extra hour on the weekends and perpetually forgot to turn the alarm off on weekends.
mine died after a few months - they sent a replacement upgrade to the somneo since they didn't have the prev model I had in stock. I used chat and got in touch with someone within a few minutos
Yay - finally a review which goes through all the features on the clock! I’m looking at buying one even though they are pretty expensive for an alarm clock. Can you tell me if you can play music from your phone through the USB port? I know it has an AUX port but I have an IPhone 8 so that doesn’t help me much haha Thanks ☺️
Not through the USB port, It just charges at 1Amp (Plenty for an overnight charge, but too slow if you're "waiting" for your phone to charge) There is an AUX Jack though, provided you have a phone with a headphone jack.
iPhone X came with a lightning port to headphone jack, it's ten bucks Canadian. Lightning to 3.5mm Headphone Jack Adapter: www.apple.com/ca/shop/product/MMX62AM/A/lightning-to-35mm-headphone-jack-adapter
They did finally send me another one. It took 4 weeks. It still doesn't have a daily schedule. As a result, my wife has banned it as I keep forgetting to turn the alarm off for the weekend, resulting in a very stressful Saturday morning wakeup instead of a nice relaxing one, lol. If you are fine waking up at the same time 7 days a week, its great, but I just can't believe a $200 alarm clock is missing this feature. It's unforgivable in my eyes.
Love this alarm clock. And it’s been helping me sleep big time. Did you get a lemon or what? cause my Philips smartsleep connected was really easy to set up via phone App
