I'm Filipino American and I have yet to visit the Phillipines. I love my lumpia, pancit, pork adobo, vinegar sauce, desserts made w coconut.and etc........I love watching these vlogs because it gives me a live glimpse into my countries culture....

Finally, you've visited Balay Dako. I always recommend it to your comment section before to go here everytime you're in Tagaytay. I have lots of good memories here with my family. Their buko pie is one of the best dessert. 😘

Some facts: "Balay Dako" is a visayan word which means "Big House" in english. Definitely mouth watering to see those delicious foods.

Hey Mike, the last dessert you tried was I believe a “palitaw” made from rice flour oiled topped with coconut flakes, toasted sesame seeds and sugar. Also the adobo flakes are normally made with pork, chicken or both depending on who’s making it. Nice review. 👍

Adobo flakes is usually what you make out of leftover adobo. It's that little bowl of adobo you had left inside your fridge from two days ago with the fat congealed, sauce turned into jelly, and the meat kinda dried up in the cold... It doesn't look or sound appetizing, but once you heat that sucker up and reduce it till its dry, add a little vegetable oil, fry it till it gets a little crispy, shred the meat with a fork, place it on top or beside some garlic rice and a runny sunny-side egg, if you want some atchara (pickled papaya/ our version of saeurkraut) as a side compliment and a dipping sauce of spiced vinegar... Now I just drooled on myself... 🤤🤤🤤
