I like your questioning and leading the conversation towards real situations in the Philippines. We don't rely on any big country. We are independent, have natural resources, agriculture and most of all educated human resources. I am a 4 decade math teacher here in the US territory and this is my 5th year as a Middle school and high school Principal. All hospitals have 90% Filipino nurses, construction and skilled 95%, accountants 95%. Philippines will rise economically in few more decades.
I am English, though my mother is Scottish and my father is Irish. I've lived in the Philippines, with my wife and son, as well as my step-daughter, for the past 5 years. We have property, a business and a regular income. We came here from HK with cash in the bank and property that we bought while we lived in HK. My Filipino friends and I pretty much take the piss out of one another all the time so it suits me just fine. With respect to healthcare, my family is fully insured in the Philippines, but this is hats off to HK, when my wife gave birth to our son in HK, the pre-natal, birth, post natal and vaccinations cost us around USD 80 - the HK health service is modelled on the NHS so if you are a taxpayer you are pretty much sorted. I wouldn't be anywhere else.

FYI, BGC IS NOT A CITY, it is part of Taguig City (small part belongs to Makati City). It is just called as Bonifacio Global City (BGC) which is privately developed but land is leased from Taguig City. It is a small city like development complete with residential, offices and Shopping areas. Taguig City, like Makati City, is one of the 17 municipalities comprising Metro Manila.
There's a kind of resilience that made Filipino thrive despite the hardships..even smiling and joking. For years of calamities, we still survive because of the Pinoy Resilience..and many foreigners are kind of surprised by it.

Give it about 10 years mate and you will see you cant trust no one and they lack manners, common sense, critical thinking skills, driving skills, honesty and honor and this is across the board rich and poor. It gets to were you just have to ignore it and keep to yourself.

Unfortunately, here in the U.S., we have a lot of those you described as your co-workers that are bully, who bring their problems with them to their work making enemies of the people they're suppose to protect! I have a bunch of filipino friends that are in the law enforcement here in Jersey and I believe they are like somewhat like you but I'm sure a little bit of that power (over people) trip get to them at times! Glad you're enjoying our motherland and you'll be just fine as you have a genuine care for people! Best of Luck, Patrick!
Watching from Switzerland and your new subscriber. Thank you for chosing Philippines.
But we're still in debt to foreign countries.
@@passing.by.the.river.all countries all over the world be it 3rd world or industrialised counties have debts.
@@passing.by.the.river.tell me which country has no debts? I live in Canada, they also has debts.

Fantastic interview, and great video! Thank you for sharing. You have my full support already/Ned👍👏👍
Thanks for your information! Ireland was covered more than the subject matter of Manila / Philippines 🇵🇭
BGC is entirely within taguig city.
Metro manila is composed of 16 cities ang one municipality
Thank you! Hadn’t realized that.
There's a kind of resilience that made Filipino thrive despite the hardships..even smiling and joking. For years of calamities, we still survive because of the Pinoy Resilience..and many foreigners are kind of surprised by it.
Thru your videos, I've learned to love more my homeland, the Philippines...
Don’t listen to those bashers…they are there to annoy you. Just be honest…you have your own opinion, they have theirs. If they can’t agree with your opinion, well..too bad.
True. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
i can't see any negative comments ..must have all been deleted.
That was an enjoyable conversation. Patrick looks like a cool guy to hang out with. Max is cool too. I also like that Max also shares his experiences. They are talking to each other just like a usual conversation.
Well Said "Enjoy Life" 😊❤😊
Very well said. Thanks so much for loving my native land the Philippines 🇵🇭 .
I've seen a few of this guy's videos. I can't say I fancy the city life. Prices are high even for the UK. I much prefer the province life. Always interesting to hear other people from the UK's take on the Philippines. (Northern Ireland is in the UK)
Thank you much Max and your friend there for both of your positive outlook about the Philippines. I'm Filipino and I'm subscribing and following you from Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia. Make Every Minute Count and be careful both of you out there.

He can say the sarcasm is similar but the irony of his vid thumbnail flew over their heads. 😅😅😅
People are just quick to judge. They are fast using the keyboards. They just type what ever they feel and forgot to comprehend what the video is all about.
Thank you bro! I hope you the best in your new home.

Love Irish bands, music
Yes Ronan Keating is an Irish singer to whom I was captivated by his voice formerly a member of the Boyzone Band w/c was not existing anymore.
Yes I thought that you choose Phils. To stay with. Thank you to advertised and good comment about my country. I'm a Filipino. We Filipino respect and warm welcome to every visitor here in the Phil's regardless of nationality because we are hospitable Filipino that is our culture and family oriented.
It must be nice to travel, live one's life, and not having family dragging you down.
It's all about priorities. If you're the breadwinner, teach the family that you're not an ATM. You're not helping anyone if you get dragged down. You'll all still have the same status in life if you can't help yourself first. Like the saying goes, "give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime".
Max just feel safe and enjoy staying here and welcome to Philippines!!!
Give it about 10 years mate and you will see you cant trust no one and they lack manners, common sense, critical thinking skills, driving skills, honesty and honor and this is across the board rich and poor. It gets to were you just have to ignore it and keep to yourself.
Only took me 4 years to figure out what liers, scammers, thieves and Gossipers they are.
So I agree with everything you say.
I have been coming to the Philippines since 2001 and in 2014 to 2017.as a mentor volunteer inside Billibid and Medium security prisons for nearly three years taking groups of inmates for public speaking using the American Toastmasters system and I came back to the Philippines the beginning of this year at the invitation of someone from the Mayor's office
This person is valedictorian at University and 17 years teaching secondary school English and has just retired from the Mayor's office after 27yrs there
Her husband passed away 8yrs ago and there are four adult sons all university graduates
I am at 83 yrs, old and am enjoying being back in the Philippines
Filipinos are very family oriented and they care for each other

Few places in philippines are modern, like bgc, but the rest of the country is a medieval community.
and we like it that way. diversity is our charm.
I absolutely disagree! but won't bother to explain why.....
@@se_amable001 diversity is what makes your country divided, philippinese people are known as people with no sense of unity and genuine love of their country, they are generally selfish and corruption is a testament to their greed.
Thank you for being nice to us, Filipinos... Irish folk are chill in general
I dont know what to say, but filo kindness only applies to foreigners, not to fellow filo's
Thank you sir,
