- When her parents died in the war in Sierra Leone, Michaela DePrince ended up in an orphanage - where she was ranked last of the 27 children. But an American woman completely changed the narrative for the young girl who dreamed of becoming a ballerina.
Also present in the studio are The 1975 singer Matty Healy, biathlon coach Wolfgang Pichler and Swedish politician Ebba Busch Thor.

What an incredible woman her mother is! Her father too for agreeing to a double adoption. But then they've adopted many children. God bless them. So many people are financially able but too selfish. If you can or won't adopt, support orphaned or disadvantaged children and families.
I saw her dance not to long ago at the Dutch National Ballet. She is a very good and beautiful dancer.
Inspiring and awakening, thank you and may the universe bless her parents, who saved two little girls from such a terrible situation.

I danced for 8 years growing up and one my good friends at the ballet school was African American, I always saw her as so elegant and beautiful no matter what move she made. She is an phenomenal dancer and her skin color and African body make her dancing all the more beautiful. God has truly blessed through it all
When things easily taken for granted like the color of shoes and tights and the cut of a leotard aren't made for people who look like you, you subconsciously receive the message that the art form itself is not for you. I'm glad changes are being made in places most people didn't even know change was needed.

I love this young lady and her awesome true story. But what I couldn’t Believe is how many times He interrupted her story to the point she was unable to share her complete thought.

True.....im an African so i understand them well. I'm made so happy by her story, but the most important thing is missing - God's Providence! Imagine to know God loves you that much that he changed your life LIKE THAT, then add on top sent his Son to die for you. Grace indeed. Even her adopted Mother was spurred by God. Its what He does. Also i like how personable she is, but not arrogant. She has a quite spirit, i hope that never goes away.
