wanted to continue this point a bit more, I feel like after their relationship was remedied in the ending of Moon Knight season 1, both Layla and Marc would stay close, they are married after all
Layla being in the team too makes sense! Her arc could parallel Elsa’s in this pitch as Jack’s dies with Mark/Steven; learning to embrace her family’s legacy.

It makes me angry that Nando has not been hired by Marvel. Literally has created a sick MCU with awesome movies and all we get is sub-par content. Makes me irate.
I like this a lot but I feel like it's a missed opportunity not to play with Nightmare's Mind powers and the whole mind palace thing from Moon Knight. We've seen how Marc's Mind takes on a visual form and that Gods can enter and interact with it. I think it'd be cool to have a sequence where Nightmare tries to enter Moon Knight's subconscious to take control only to be met with Jake Lockley or even Konshu, who boots him out. He can only effect Moon Knight with illusions in the material world.

This has been my favourite pitch video of yours Nando by a mile, I loved how you were cleverly tying together these characters by commonalities you found in them and then feeding that into the narrative with Nightmare's stalking presence. Not to mention that all of the characters picked out here are awesome, they work on their own and they could be great if brought together, doesn't feel forced. Very cool stuff.
The only other thing I would consider adding is some sort of payoff/dynamic from the moon knight post credit scene with Jake Lockley. Unless they somehow get around to it beforehand, it seems like a very important aspect to moon knight, considering it was Khonshu's first choice by the end of the show.
I feel like having moonknight and black knight being friends is ok for a laugh but having mk and warewolf by night be instant friends throughout the movie would be way better (and make more sense for their characters i feel) so the payoff of khonshu bringing the moon closer or making it a full moon or whatever would hit harder if we've seen these 2 getting along

One of my favorite comics growing up was a limited series that came out for Halloween of '98 called The Supernaturals. It was an alternate reality where Brother Voodoo led a team of Ghost Rider, Werewolf by Night, Satana, Black Cat, and Gargoyle to stop Jack O'Lantern from completing a ritual to summon an army of 1950s Marvel monsters.
Nightmare introduced to the MCU ---> Introduce his daughter, Dreamqueen ---> Have her fight Alpha Flight ---> Alpha Flight in the MCU. A flawless plan! Also, would love to see a Nando riff on an Alpha Flight movie - I have ideas.
I love this idea. I would love to see a Midnight Suns movie where they fight Mephisto and at the end it’s revealed Mephisto has this “Ace in the hole” type he’s been saving and it’s revealed it’s Ghost Rider. Mephisto is the one who gave GR his powers and he’s tricked into being a servant of M until the MS’s can get through to him and break the hod M has over GR before GR joins the team finally.
Midnight Sons could have been real cool as a show if the Adventure Into Fear line on Hulu wasn't cancelled. Imagine, Helstrom, Ghost Rider, Brother Voodoo, and Blade into a Midnight Sons show.
Whoever the villain is, since it’s a team revolving around anti heroes, imo the villain needs to be the worst of the worst pure evil, sadistic, manipulative, prosperous and unprovoked villains there is in Marvel. That will make the Midnight Suns teaming up much more satisfying

When you talked about a Bowie-esque figure that could go campy, I may have another suggestion. Jim Carrey. Imagine a most sinister and somber version of his Dr. Robotnik, and that would be it. I don't know much about this story arc, but I feel like he could be a very interesting choice

Great pitch, Nando. Either Kevin will rip you off and not pay you, or he'll hire someone to rip you off and barely pay them. This would easily be a top tier Marvel movie. Especially if shot in black-and-white emulating classic Universal Monsters movies.
If Jack's arc is acceptance, then the initial fight with Moon Knight should be Elsa saying no to turning Jack into a werewolf, but Jack in a moment of crisis being torn about touching it himself and also deciding not to. Then when does turn later, it's a bigger pay-off Also why did these characters specifically receive the visions?
I feel like (as consumers) we can only hope that along with the strike getting it's regular goals that it will give people behind the scenes room to breathe and have room to go forward with clear long-term goals and strong visions like this pitch has

Would like to see Moon Knight and Werewolf by Night interact at some point before midnight sons like a special or S2 of Moon Knight, Marc, Steven, and Jack get along after having fought for the first time, but Jake and The Werewolf would most likely not get along since Jake serves Khonshu and werewolves could be natural enemies to him maybe Harrow at some point fought Werewolf by Night’s before Marc came along, Marc may not understand Jack at first but Steven can sympathize with Jack dealing with his curse and having killed many innocent lives and Marc will help too overtime understanding his predicament having also killed. just a theory
Honestly after seeing his performance in Legion, Dan Stevens would be one of my top picks for Nightmare. (Also didn’t he imply he was going to be in eternals and then he just… wasn’t?)
Another cool idea for how the team gets together is that Nightmare himself captures all six members during the start of the movie and "asks" them to join his side, seeing as how all of them are horrible monsters that could aid him in his quest to spread fear. The theme of acceptance is made stronger by this, as in the end the Midnight Suns accept their monster side, but realize they don't have to be evil, something like that. I think Eddie Redmayne works best as Nightmare, and the fact you mention his Bowie-esque makes me realize this movie could really use an 80's horror flick aesthetic: I wouldn't say go full on gore mode, but making an emphasis on the horror aspect of the situation could help it stand out from other Marvel movies.
Said it once, I’ll say it again, Phase 4 and 5 should have been Midnight Suns focused with Doctor Doom as the big bad. It not only makes the most sense narratively, but also with the characters they’ve been setting up. Let Spiderverse handle the multiverse.

I'm excited for anything Moon Knight. And it really would make sense and would be to the next level if the moon knight system has strong mental fortitude (through character development) and knowledge when they learn that they are a DID system completely to handle navigating dreams rendered physical. We really need to have the ideal Moon Knight being able to improvise like they are the ripoff of Batman, but instead of having plans, the Moon Knight gang have A TON of strategies and multiple fighting styles between Marc, Steven, and Jake that enemies cannot keep up with.
You were close with Tom Sturridge as Nightmare, but I think Mason Alexander Park would be the obvious choice for that role. They played Desire in Sandman and I think had perfect camp menace.
They definitely are leading to something Midnight Suns related, like literally what’s the next step for Moon Knight and Elsa Bloodstone, are they really gonna make Blade a Avenger, and why do we keep seeing Agatha and why does she have her own show, here’s my idea, right now in the MCU we’re being built towards the Thunderbolts and after that Kang Dynasty with the Young Avengers and then the Multiveral event in Secret Wars, so what if all the main heroes are gone and Earth is left un protected, so Agatha then awakens some dark magic monsters and tries to take over so the remaining heroes who happen to be midnight sun characters gather and create the team to defeat the monsters and defeat Agatha
Recently became a fan of this crew because of the game that came out last year, put almost 200 hours into it and fell in love with some characters i hadnt been exposed to much like Robbie Reyes and Nico so id like to see them portrayed well in the MCU
I think he would be awesome, but I also think it would be a missed opportunity because I can't see much longevity for Nightmare. It's not beyond the MCU to give him the "one and done" treatment
9:05 i like this roster, but i would like to add someone to put on the band. Brother Voodoo: Drumm feels like the PERFECT member to put in the roster. If anything, I would see him being on the MCU Suns being the sorcerer who deals with supernatural while strange deals with avenger threats. They'll probably retcon his brother's death for whenever they bring it up, but i digress.

Love that we’re finally getting some more supernatural comic book content. Justice League Dark is definitely gonna be in the DCU as well cause they’re doing swamp thing and probably John Constantine after that and inevitably Justice League Dark. Midnight suns is a very interesting concept I just hope marvel is willing to go full r rating for midnight suns. I know James Gunn will go full r with justice league dark like he did with suicide squad. The horror characters need that rating to really embrace the themes and the characters. Mainly Blade, Constantine and Swamp Thing. Those 3 simply work better when they don’t hold back. Also nando you should do a dcu justice league dark pitch as well.
The MCU should dedicate an entire phase to technology based heroes/villains vs magic based heroes/villains. This would be a metaphor for angst people are feeling about the modern world. It would be a vehicle for discussing when it is ethical to do something one has the power to do. Dr. Doom being the character who straddles technology & magic would be an obvious central player. But coming from a background where his people were mistreated & oppressed by the West, he actually has a deeper moral understanding of the sense of grievance than some of the traditional heroes that are kinda one dimensional.
Moon Knight and Ghost Rider appearing in a movie together could be cool as they both experience some form of plurality and Ghost Rider occasionally uses nosism/first-person we pronouns, due to the angels of vengeance inhabiting the various Ghost Rider's bodies
For me the perfect actor for Nightmare is David Tennant but it's unlikely because he played a similar role in Jessica Jones. Another great choice would be Peter Capaldi, the actor who played the 12th Doctor in Doctor Who and the Thinker in The Suicide Squad. I know he's older but honestly I don't think his youth is that important compared to his imposing presence, intimidating voice and creepy smile. He has a lot of energy even now and can go very big and loud if the script demands it.
I had an idea, what if in the beginning of the movie, Nightmare goes to Agatha looking for the Darkhold. Because as it turns out, the reason he hasn’t made a move yet is because he was afraid of the power of the Darkhold. He releases her from her spell, and she tells him it’s been destroyed. Then, he could actually recruit Agatha, or force her to help him. Maybe she has a redemption arc by the end of the movie, or maybe she ends up getting killed. I just think that would be a nice way to tie this in to the events of Wandavision and Dr Strange, so it feels like they were building to this, and it isn’t just a totally brand now plot thread. Edit: just realized Agatha would have no way of knowing what happened to the Darkhold. Maybe Nightmare already knows it’s destroyed, so that’s why he shows up. And he goes to Agatha because she has experience with it and he knows she wants revenge or something like that.
Man, this pitch is so organized, i can already visualize it, i already felt like watching the movie just by listening to it. It all makes perfect sense, they should hire you or MCU should take notes from this.
Just an idea but what if Doctor Strange 3 is titled Doctor Strange and The Midnight Suns. It’d be a nice way to include them in already existing franchise but also ups the scale for the third Doctor strange movie as whatever challenge he faces in the dark dimension would be better if he had some help.
I think if they wanted to throw the Agents of SHIELD fans a bone and score an easy win bringing in Robbie Reyes would be super cool. Plus it leaves the door open for a Danny Ketch or Johnny Blaze to show up considering AoS's Reyes got his powers from another Ghost Rider that rides a motorcycle.

When you talked about a Bowie-esque figure that could go campy, I may have another suggestion. Jim Carrey. Imagine a most sinister and somber version of his Dr. Robotnik, and that would be it. I don't know much about this story arc, but I feel like he could be a very interesting choice

If Jack's arc is acceptance, then the initial fight with Moon Knight should be Elsa saying no to turning Jack into a werewolf, but Jack in a moment of crisis being torn about touching it himself and also deciding not to. Then when does turn later, it's a bigger pay-off

I had Mia Goth as Selene (I'm not exactly sure who she'll play in the Blade movie), but... if she weren't in that film, I could see her as Nightmare.
I feel like (as consumers) we can only hope that along with the strike getting it's regular goals that it will give people behind the scenes room to breathe and have room to go forward with clear long-term goals and strong visions like this pitch has

I like the moment when "Wong" gave himself away by mentioning Nightmare by name when the vision wasn't clear about who the threat was.
Would like to see Moon Knight and Werewolf by Night interact at some point before midnight sons like a special or S2 of Moon Knight, Marc, Steven, and Jack get along after having fought for the first time, but Jake and The Werewolf would most likely not get along since Jake serves Khonshu and werewolves could be natural enemies to him maybe Harrow at some point fought Werewolf by Night’s before Marc came along, Marc may not understand Jack at first but Steven can sympathize with Jack dealing with his curse and having killed many innocent lives and Marc will help too overtime understanding his predicament having also killed. just a theory
Honestly after seeing his performance in Legion, Dan Stevens would be one of my top picks for Nightmare. (Also didn’t he imply he was going to be in eternals and then he just… wasn’t?)
Like someone asked him if he was going to be in Eternals, and his answer was “kro comment” but kro was played by someone entirely different.
Another cool idea for how the team gets together is that Nightmare himself captures all six members during the start of the movie and "asks" them to join his side, seeing as how all of them are horrible monsters that could aid him in his quest to spread fear. The theme of acceptance is made stronger by this, as in the end the Midnight Suns accept their monster side, but realize they don't have to be evil, something like that.
I think Eddie Redmayne works best as Nightmare, and the fact you mention his Bowie-esque makes me realize this movie could really use an 80's horror flick aesthetic: I wouldn't say go full on gore mode, but making an emphasis on the horror aspect of the situation could help it stand out from other Marvel movies.

Said it once, I’ll say it again, Phase 4 and 5 should have been Midnight Suns focused with Doctor Doom as the big bad. It not only makes the most sense narratively, but also with the characters they’ve been setting up. Let Spiderverse handle the multiverse.

Whoever the villain is, since it’s a team revolving around anti heroes, imo the villain needs to be the worst of the worst pure evil, sadistic, manipulative, prosperous and unprovoked villains there is in Marvel. That will make the Midnight Suns teaming up much more satisfying
Also it seems weird that a threat like kang would be defeated quicker than thanos.
Really feels like each phase should be focused around some team.
Avengers, Fantastic 4, X-men, Inhumans, Midnight Suns.

I'm excited for anything Moon Knight. And it really would make sense and would be to the next level if the moon knight system has strong mental fortitude (through character development) and knowledge when they learn that they are a DID system completely to handle navigating dreams rendered physical. We really need to have the ideal Moon Knight being able to improvise like they are the ripoff of Batman, but instead of having plans, the Moon Knight gang have A TON of strategies and multiple fighting styles between Marc, Steven, and Jake that enemies cannot keep up with.
You were close with Tom Sturridge as Nightmare, but I think Mason Alexander Park would be the obvious choice for that role. They played Desire in Sandman and I think had perfect camp menace.

They definitely are leading to something Midnight Suns related, like literally what’s the next step for Moon Knight and Elsa Bloodstone, are they really gonna make Blade a Avenger, and why do we keep seeing Agatha and why does she have her own show, here’s my idea, right now in the MCU we’re being built towards the Thunderbolts and after that Kang Dynasty with the Young Avengers and then the Multiveral event in Secret Wars, so what if all the main heroes are gone and Earth is left un protected, so Agatha then awakens some dark magic monsters and tries to take over so the remaining heroes who happen to be midnight sun characters gather and create the team to defeat the monsters and defeat Agatha
Maybe you could have nightmare shifting between different forms so he’s both a man and a woman in different scenes

Recently became a fan of this crew because of the game that came out last year, put almost 200 hours into it and fell in love with some characters i hadnt been exposed to much like Robbie Reyes and Nico so id like to see them portrayed well in the MCU

Brother Voodoo: Drumm feels like the PERFECT member to put in the roster. If anything, I would see him being on the MCU Suns being the sorcerer who deals with supernatural while strange deals with avenger threats.

Love that we’re finally getting some more supernatural comic book content. Justice League Dark is definitely gonna be in the DCU as well cause they’re doing swamp thing and probably John Constantine after that and inevitably Justice League Dark. Midnight suns is a very interesting concept I just hope marvel is willing to go full r rating for midnight suns. I know James Gunn will go full r with justice league dark like he did with suicide squad. The horror characters need that rating to really embrace the themes and the characters. Mainly Blade, Constantine and Swamp Thing. Those 3 simply work better when they don’t hold back. Also nando you should do a dcu justice league dark pitch as well.

The MCU should dedicate an entire phase to technology based heroes/villains vs magic based heroes/villains.
This would be a metaphor for angst people are feeling about the modern world. It would be a vehicle for discussing when it is ethical to do something one has the power to do.
Dr. Doom being the character who straddles technology & magic would be an obvious central player. But coming from a background where his people were mistreated & oppressed by the West, he actually has a deeper moral understanding of the sense of grievance than some of the traditional heroes that are kinda one dimensional.

Moon Knight and Ghost Rider appearing in a movie together could be cool as they both experience some form of plurality and Ghost Rider occasionally uses nosism/first-person we pronouns, due to the angels of vengeance inhabiting the various Ghost Rider's bodies
For me the perfect actor for Nightmare is David Tennant but it's unlikely because he played a similar role in Jessica Jones.
Another great choice would be Peter Capaldi, the actor who played the 12th Doctor in Doctor Who and the Thinker in The Suicide Squad. I know he's older but honestly I don't think his youth is that important compared to his imposing presence, intimidating voice and creepy smile. He has a lot of energy even now and can go very big and loud if the script demands it.

I had an idea, what if in the beginning of the movie, Nightmare goes to Agatha looking for the Darkhold. Because as it turns out, the reason he hasn’t made a move yet is because he was afraid of the power of the Darkhold. He releases her from her spell, and she tells him it’s been destroyed. Then, he could actually recruit Agatha, or force her to help him. Maybe she has a redemption arc by the end of the movie, or maybe she ends up getting killed. I just think that would be a nice way to tie this in to the events of Wandavision and Dr Strange, so it feels like they were building to this, and it isn’t just a totally brand now plot thread.
Edit: just realized Agatha would have no way of knowing what happened to the Darkhold. Maybe Nightmare already knows it’s destroyed, so that’s why he shows up. And he goes to Agatha because she has experience with it and he knows she wants revenge or something like that.
Man, this pitch is so organized, i can already visualize it, i already felt like watching the movie just by listening to it. It all makes perfect sense, they should hire you or MCU should take notes from this.

Just an idea but what if Doctor Strange 3 is titled Doctor Strange and The Midnight Suns. It’d be a nice way to include them in already existing franchise but also ups the scale for the third Doctor strange movie as whatever challenge he faces in the dark dimension would be better if he had some help.

I think if they wanted to throw the Agents of SHIELD fans a bone and score an easy win bringing in Robbie Reyes would be super cool. Plus it leaves the door open for a Danny Ketch or Johnny Blaze to show up considering AoS's Reyes got his powers from another Ghost Rider that rides a motorcycle.
