I think Moon Knight had the strongest first episode in phase four. Just the building mystery of weird things happening and then the reveal of the Moon Knight costume at the end was really amazing
I agree was a near perfect episode. unfortunately every part in Egypt felt very underwhelming to me but was nearly the only marvel show I liked (haven't seen wandervision)
@@extra4542 I personally don’t see how you can think it’s boring when they’re constantly doing stuff like Steven waking up hours later in a new country with no idea what’s happening, or his powers are at stake because of harrow about to destroy khonshu or moon knight literally dying. To me it’s one of the most fast paced thriller like tv shows in the mcu.
Love when people talk about stuff they enjoyed or liked. I got no issue with nitpicking, criticism, or thinking of changing certain things about stories but when it's constant negativity it's boring.
@@mr.mittens9123 I agree. there’s very few times I’ve watched a movie and hated every aspect of it like some TH-cam channels sharply declare. Some movies aren’t great, especially in the Mcu, but I’ve thought only once or twice that it was a piece of garbage. So much work goes into these movies, way more than these subpar, clickbait TH-cam videos, yet they only talk about the bad stuff. Just annoying
This was a great breath of fresh air highlighting all of the positives of phase 4 instead of being toxic and hyper focused on every negative, real or imagined discourse I typically see all over social media.
Yes! I feel like every negative video on it is overreacted and exaggerated. It wasn't perfect, but it definitely had some moments and projects that, in my opinion, were really great! Everyone is just by focusing on the bad things and they're pushing away all the great things like "Loki", "No Way Home", or "Shang-Chi" by saying All of phase four was bad. So, I agree with you that it's nice to see something positive.
Absolutely! This was excellent. Made me realize that most reading about Phase 3 was all the positives. Phase 4 was only about the negatives... it got so petty and irritating.
My general thoughts on phase four I don’t hear enough: • This feels the most like actual comic books. Many, many chapters and diverse genres and worlds bent around just off the wall • There was an overall theme: “Identity”. Though spider-verse asked “who is spider-man?”, NWH asked “who is Peter Parker?” Legacies EVERYWHERE in claiming names passed on. Existential ways we examine who we are and who we should be in Loki, Thor, Shang Chi, Doctor Strange, Cap, Marvel, Black Panther. And of course Moon Knight is a whole thing • They really made so many of their remaining Avengers single now and I just think that’s funny.
Thank you for posting something positive! I am kinda getting sick of people just posting stuff online saying Marvel's dead and stuff is bad..blah blah blah. It makes me feel like I'm wrong for liking something.
Phase 4 felt like the phase that truly embraced the comics and breadth of the Marvel universe, compared to previous ones. Maybe not always in the 1-to-1 transition of stories told from certain beloved runs (Mighty Thor, Lemire Moonknight, etc), but in design, scope, characterization, diversity of character, world-building, etc. The costumes were reasonably ridiculous but also fit within the world, the deep cuts of items, organisations and history really created a more rich universe with so many ideas than fill out areas such as magic. It didn't feel like we were always in New York with the same status of villain, with a white male protagonist that dominated the other three phases. We went everywhere, from Egypt to China, to fictional places like Talokan and Madripoor. And when we were in NYC in Hawkeye (or Jersey in Ms. Marvel) it felt different due to the perspective.
Its interesting that you feel that way. To me, this felt so far removed from the comics that I lost interest. Phase 4 felt like an assembly line Hollywood production and way less a marvel thing. They strayed so far from the source material that it often become completety unrecognizable. Atleast many of the characters from earlier phases felt in tune with their comic counterparts. This really didn't at all.
"Phase 4 felt like the phase that truly embraced the comics and breadth of the Marvel universe" Moon Knight. Enough said. I don't think I need to elaborate.
They fumbled the ball. Marvel now and all new all different marvel in the comics failed as well when they shoe horned the diversity characters in there. They had to bring back all the OGs to sell comics again. The vocal minority on the internet do not have the cash to buy comics, they just want to complain for free about stuff they don't pay for. The people with the cash to buy movie tickets didn't want the diversity characters to take over. I'm Mexican American and I want original white Captain America, or white bucky cap, not black underpowered second tier falcap. I want cosmic level Thor not female she don't need no man Thor. I want tchalla, not 75lb female slay queen black panther. I want white iron man, not black female smarter than Tony stark iron heart. I want the hulk, any hulk, not female yaas queen girls get it done she hulk.
People just have really short memories and they don't seem to remember the criticisms from literally every other phase in the MCU. It's all cherry-picking to me.
Honestly the biggest flaw of Phase 4 to me was social media. I usally really enjoyed the projects when they came out until I go to Twitter or TH-cam and get flooded with constant negativity about the topic and just get annoyed by it.
Same. I go on TH-cam and then am constantly told about how wrong my opinion is. I honestly don’t know why people were bashing stuff like miss marvel and moon night. But then again people have now started bashing no way home which they loved a year ago. 😅
I mean the negativity does come from a reasonable place, like Marvel has been making a lot of bad calls. But if you enjoy it just let yourself enjoy it, and if people hate it just let em hate it lol
@@awsomerobyn2603miss marvel is such an easy target for people since it’s obviously the most light hearted one and more purposefully like a Disney show. That’s not gonna land with haters.
Yeah. I seen people claim that movie x or y were the beginning of the death of the MCU before Endgame. Phase 4 have ups and down but people focus too much on the low end, completely ignoring the rest.
I loved how diverse Phase Four was; we got to meet so many new characters and the varying genres/types of projects we got was a welcome change. Additionally, Phase Four will always have a special place in my heart as I got to be a background extra in two of the films!
@@TheBrokeGeekthat’s so cool. Your honesty living my dream. Since I was little I have been making a story about how me and my best friend may fit into the story 😅
The Loki soundtrack is one of my favorites of all time, Ive actually been using the ending theme song as an alarm on my phone since it aired and I'm still not tired of it
I listen to that main theme all the time too - I still get goosebumps like I’m seeing Kang’s statue revealed in the TVA for the first time. Undoubtedly my favourite score of the MCU.
the sad part about phase 4 is thinking what happend between wandavision and MoM, at the beginning of 2021 we screamed at the idea of evan peters coming to the mcu and they just did a little treat in a way that didn’t harm the continuity, then mid 2022 literally the leader of the mutants in the yellow rocket chair? we living the dream and are numb to how fun and exciting is all going. i think we have the problem, the global pandemic crisis and social media got us expecting the impossible
I loved everything in Phase 4. Different. Everything was different was different great in its own way. I also never forgot that movies are made by people. And everyone lost someone during the pandemic.
There have been SO MANY videos popping into my recommendations about why “the MCU is dead” or whatever, and while yeah it could be a lot better currently the negativity is getting really repetitive and annoying. I’m really happy you made this video.
Think you really haven't given Moon Knight the chance it deserves! Other than the last episode (as in every disney+ show), I think it has consistently interesting episodes that are a blast to watch
YES! Nando positivity is the best content on TH-cam. I still share the "She-Hulk is Great" video whenever I encounter haters. Nando's love of media is my favorite part of this channel.
Phase 3 was the crescendo of a 3 act structure. Absolutely insane that people expected act 1 of a new story to be somehow more thrilling. Looking forward to the upcoming rising action and finale.
It's not supposed to be as thrilling, it's supposed to make sense, introduce characters people care about, and make logical sense. Phase 4 utterly failed at all of these criteria.
@@TheWolfXCIX I thought it did just fine. Shang chi and all the related characters, all the werewolf by night characters, fleshing out the wanda and vision story, Ms marvel is adorable and cool, introducing the concept of kang, Kate Bishop and yelena are delightful, kingpin is here, dd is here, mutations are starting, and that's just what I could think of top of my head on mobile. you think nobody cares about these characters because you only listen to people exactly like yourself.
I personally just didn’t like the writing, and I felt like the dialogue and humor was just kind of cringe. Its not a fundamentally bad show (besides the cgi), but I can tell it just wasn’t made for me. I also just feel like the Finale was just kind of lazy, (and tbh I’m still salty over what Disney and universal did to hulk 😭😭😭).
What I love the most about Phase 4 are the small changes they made to the comics. For example how they say Namor (na-mor instead of Nay-Mor). It helped make Talokan a better country and feel real.
Wandavision might be my favorite thing in the MCU yet. I think all of the shows had disappointing ending episodes. Wandavision’s end didn’t bother me, Falcon and the Winter Soldier felt off at the end, SheHulk had a great concept for the end but I didn’t like how it didn’t actually change the plot of the last episode like it seemed it was doing. But the shows are amazing and totally rewatchable. Thank you for defending a phase that expanded the universe almost too much but overall did a great job!
@@imgonnaputsomedirtinureyedabs No, those were an acception. I just meant that most of them ended in a big battle. I actually loved Ms. Marvels school ending, it might've been my favorite ending of all the shows.
Thank you for this video. I genuinely really liked Phase 4. Yeah there’s a lot and of course there is problem, but like any fandom, people take it too far and seriously. This was fun as heck
I agree, threading the mandarin needle was well executed and was one thing I thought the movie would hand wave and ignore but they faced it head on and did a nice job.
Thank you for this retrospective. It's easy to get down on Phase 4 because there's so much of it as to become numbing, but there really was a lot of great stuff.
The Marvel Studios subreddit needs this, since they were guilty of overhyping the bad things about phase 4. Heck, even TH-camrs like the Cosmic Variety Hour and SchafrillasProductions (once he recovers from his accident and grief) need to see this if they see it, since they too did the whole “phase 4” bad videos.
This video is the type of content that makes me really appreciate Nando as a creative voice on TH-cam. It has become much easier to nitpick or critique content, partly in thanks to the massive amounts of videos on this site that does just that. It's less of a safe bet to make a video that's 40 minutes of talking positively about a collection of works that has been widely written off by a group of fans. Thanks for taking a deeper look at these projects and really addressing what worked in them, and what we can hope to see more from Phase 5
Eccept he failed in a bunch of them, the fight between nat and his sister was grounded???? They were doing letal blows to each other when they were supposed to be playing, the are supposed to be humans and people who take themselvs seriously they shouldn't have done that the whole scene is idiotic. This is not a nitpick, if you think it is then you don't know what a nit pick is.
@@spinosaurusstriker if ur looking for realism these are not the movies for you, it's not like the early movies had no plothole and always made sense?
I love phase 4. Everyone complained that Marvel movies were too formulaic. Every phase 4 TV was wildly different from everything else. Everything felt fresh and unique. The movies that came out stuck too close to the formula, which made them stand out from the TV shows.
The shows felt pretty much like MCU movies but really long. I would say that WandaVision was the only fresh and unique Phase 4 TV show. Moon Knight had serious potential to be fresh and unique as the comics are so weird and the character is a real stand out but they somehow took a very cool and interesting character and made a very basic show about him.
@@Bonaboo Have you seen the show? It still feels like a basic standardized MCU show regardless of the main character having DID. It's not like he's the first MCU character to have DID either. Meanwhile the comics are truly unique and stand out and the comic version of the character is extremely distinctive.
i disagree only loki and wandavision were different. Most of the tv shows not only suffered from being structured like a 6 hour movie but all the characters followed the same arc. They all learn how to learn how to use their powers, accept their identity as a superhero, and get their costume
I am so happy to see this, Nando! I agree completely, I know hate on marvel gets the clicks, but I've enjoyed 90% of phase 4 and loved seeing the things you enjoyed as well!
Hawkeye was my favourite show... rewatched it 3 times... "I can do this all day" became sort of my theme song, it pops into my head each time something seams to disturb my schedule, as a reminder that I've dealt with stuff like that before and got through it, so there's no need to panic😂.
i kinda thought wanda was changed in this movie, but looking back at her motivations throughout the films, you could argue that she never learned to stop being selfish. i had an issue with wanda's last line of wandavision because i wanted to believe she'd learned that, but i think it really works going into multiverse of madness
I think I've just been inspired to do a phase 4 rewatch! This is why I love your channel! There's so much negativity in the comic book/geek section of the internet but you tend to bring a positivity and enthusiasm that reminds me why I love these genres. Thank you!
I'm halfway through the video and just wanted to say it's really well-made! and speaking of phase four; I think the only reason behind the controversy, is that the projects are SO diversed from each other that people missed the usual mcu buildup. But I have no doubt we will have that in Kang Dynasty!
Dude. Thank you. Of course I see a lot of problems in phase four (like I do in all the phases, specially the first two), but I had so much fun with it. And it's so much stuff, and surrounded with so much negativity, that I almost forgot a lot of it. It was really refreshing to be reminded of all of it in one go, so much so that for the first time I'm actually considering rewatching all of it. In any case, I always feel the negativity gets diluted over time, and this might be the beginning of that happening with phase four. Seriously, I get befuddled hearing people talk about the previous phases like everybody was loving everything all the time... Even Age of Ultron now is regularly referred as one f the greats. But I remember all the heat it got at the time (and until recently, in fact). Same for Guardians 2 and many others. And nobody argues that phase 3 is the best one, but it did get a fair share of criticism even during its apex -- yeah, a lot of people were trash talking the two movies between Avengers 3 and 4 (I love Ant-Man and the Wasp, but even I recognize I can't say many nice things about the Captain Marvel movie). But now people talk about it like it was spotless. But I digress. This was a very welcome breath of fresh air. Thank you so much for that.
thank you so much, for voicing put things that I like about phase four... it just feel like everyone on the internet now hate MCU because it become weird, I mean why not?? for me, phase 4 feels like teenager-phase, where you exploring different genre and identity and I just really love how every franchises within it have very distinctive colours and genres....
In a video you made about Phase 4 a year or so ago I think, you compared the Phase to a sports team undergoing a rebuild after a championship dynasty. That is, individually inconsequential stories with new faces laying the groundwork for something bigger the same way a sports team might draft young prospects to build the next championship core. Like you say in this video, there are TONS of individually awesome moments in Phase 4 that are just as well produced and goosebump inducing as what we got in Phases 1-3, but they’re just that: isolated moments whose enjoyment is capped for now because these are the “rebuilding years.” To further the sports metaphor, it’s like how seeing your team win a game with a walk-off home run is always fun, but it’s a lot more fun when you know it matters for the playoff push, rather than a meaningless win because your team is 20+ games out of first place before the season’s even halfway over. I think Phase 4 works just fine (with a few exceptions due to poor stories, CGI, etc) as the groundwork, but how much we look back on it in a few years depends on what Phase 5 now does. To me, Phase 5 is now something that NEEDS momentum. We need an overarching story. We need more crossovers and more consistent storytelling. We’ve gotten enough rebuilding now with the post-Endgame state of the MCU’s world and characters. It’ll take another 1-2 years to judge, but Phase 4 will either be looked back on as a successful rebuild that bid its time well between two championship windows, or it’ll be a failed rebuild that we are embarrassed to look back on because it set up nothing and felt like a waste of time to be invested in beyond really small moments.
Hawkeye and Ms. Marvel are genuinely some of my favorite mcu projects ever. They aren't perfect, but they're distinct and I find myself thinking about them the most.
Speaking of Atlanta (backlot), lots of ATL in both those teevee shows, the car chase in “Hawkeye” is all downtown, and the mosque and Kamala Khan’s high school are downtown/midtown. I love ATL after living there for a lot of the ‘80s-‘90s…
I am so glad Nando has come around on the Hawkeye show. I think its pretty severely underrated. It isn't perfect but so few things actually are its certainly one of the best phase 4 things.
Agree, this phase is actually my favorite, everything was bigger and wilder. I love that we had more time with everyone and I love so many of the new people introduced
I forgot about a lot of the productions in phase 4 because there isn't much chatter about them, but almost every time you brought one up I was like "oh yeah I liked that!"
Phase 4 I feel like is kinda like if Iron Man didn't have Nick Fury in the post credits scene a phase that doesn't immediately show what's happening but teases it even a slight tease. Wandavision, Moon Knight, Shang Chi,Multiverse Of Madness, Loki and Eternals and definitely Wearwolf By Night were my favorite projects in phase 4. I feel like phase 4 more specifically 2021 was so full of MCU stuff cause Chapek wanting more projects not few projects that are polished. The Secret Invasion delay and other delays makes it look like they're gonna polish more of the cgi compared to if it didn't get delayed. Considering I enjoyed Eternals I really need to watch some of Chloe Zhalo's films
Wandavision and Ms. Marvel are both really interesting in that they kinda suffer from the same issue; the big superhero ending. Otherwise, they're both fantastic, but I have to say that Ms. Marvel just barely edges past Wandavision for me because it's incredibly unique cinematographic style. I freaking LOVED seeing Kamala's drawings come to life on screen, and there are just so many interesting establishing shots as well, which is wild to me that I'm even talking about establishing shots.
As someone with dissociative identity disorder, I'd like to say that Moon Knight was, while not entirely accurate to real life (but it's a comic book movie, so there's some creative liberty there), it was incredibly compassionate and understanding in its portrayal. The other people I've seen with DID mostly agree, and from what I've heard and read, they had a DID professional on set consulting about it so they could be as respectful and accurate as possible.
I liked the ending of Wanda vision. It was 15 mins of a mcu film but on Disney +, vision vs vision was great especially ship of Theseus discussion. Wanda felt so human in the last few scenes exiling herself from humanity
@@christiansestate agree to disagree. I was impressed how much it felt like a mcu film but on Disney + and I liked the ending alot. I liked how Wanda goes into exile hated by the people of West view, hex vision vs sword vision, Agatha vs Wanda, and the goodbyes to her son's. What did you dislike about the ending?
It’s not just the writing and the half-baked CGI as Marvel fans like to point out, but it’s also the over-saturation. Hopefully with Iger cleaning house, we can go back on that course we know and love in the Infinity Saga.
I've been waiting on this.there are too many jabronies hating on phase 4. it has probably (at times) the most experimental phase and i appreciate big swings like that.
First thing, when going over What If I think it’s worth mentioning the incredible Doctor Strange Episode 4. That episode felt like the truest representation of pure art on a screen that I’ve seen in the MCU, not just for animation, and the story was dark but also really emotional and moving. Every scene of that episode was breathtaking to watch in my opinion. Secondly and a more general point, I wanted to thank you for this video because it was genuinely so refreshing. I’ve been surrounded by so much hate for Phase 4 as a whole and while some of it is founded and I don’t know if the MCU will ever reach the height that it did by Endgame again, there’s plenty of positives to take away from it than deserve more attention. In my opinion most of it was at least decent and some of it was great, so that’s still a majority of positives overall.
Thank you so much for this. It's been so exhausting going online and seeing only relentless negative posts about this universe that I love. I understand that these movies have their flaws and the best way to improve them is to make our voices heard in regards to quality control, but we should also take a step back every every once in a while and appreciate the monumental amount of effort, passion, work, and love that went into all of these projects to deliver something for the fans.
I loved phase 4. Maybe my favourite. I think we were spoiled by the incredible quality of phase 3, especially the end. Now people complain as soon as a movie isn’t groundbreaking, funny, emotional and perfect.
I love the positivity of this video! True, the phase is all over the place, but I never in a million years believed that we’d able to see all these heroes on film. I’m tired of people complaining about how it’s not “like the comic”.
The running theme behind most of Phase 4's criticisms are the superhero ending that makes it feel entirely out-of-place because the show itself THAT unique. They've been embracing more and more weirdness out of the comics rather than trying to filter it.
I just watched Eternals the other day and my main complaint is that it isn't long enough. It almost could have been a 6 episode tv show because I liked all the characters but I wanted to see just a little bit more of them.
Thank you, I was starting to think I was alone in my Doc Strange 2 love. And Moon Knight holds are really special place in my heart. Could be the Egyptian heritage haha
Man I am so glad you called out that fight with Ikaris in Eternals, I thought it was some of the most fun, high octane, over-the-top straight-up super-powered people fighting each other I’ve seen in a movie and really enjoyed that sequence. One of the rare moments where the MCU has embraced being, y’know, comic book movies, and not apologizing for it. And it was so refreshing for fast to be allowed to be fast instead of the overdone slo-mo cop-out.
The one thing people don’t realize about love and thunder is that it is the way it is because thor was using humor to cope and to push others away And it’s intentionally exaggerated because korg was telling a story to kids If people realized that they’d appreciate it more
then by your explanation, Thor visiting his mom in the past is totally worthless then? Looked to me like Thor got super fcking serious abt his life again after talking to his mom and gaining Mjnoir again. But sure whatever floats your boat ig. For me, his character got severly assassinated
I really liked the projects in phase 4. Thank you for this video, I agree with a lot of it. I just think it has become profitable to hate on things now.
Phase 4 is by far my favourite phase. I wasn't a huge fan of Marvel before, but since WandaVision came out, I love almost everything they are releasing now. All of my favourite marvel projects are in phase 4, including WandaVision, Loki, Multiverse of Madness, Wakanda Forever, Werewolf by Night, and many more. I love that they are finally experimenting with all sorts of genres, tones, and perspectives. Also, I agree that the music is amazing in phase 4. So much of the music is very memorable and gives me chills.
Phase 4 soundtrack was fantastic! So many times after watching a show I would go on hunts for songs, and they would be my soundtrack for weeks. On top of what Nando said about Shang-chi, Rozi by Eva B and El Malouk by Ahmed Saad are perfectly placed.
I loved the locality of everything in phase 4, the little people around our heroes, and regular life things. When everything is a catastrophe, it all becomes bland. But real people have real, small problems, and it was refreshing and made the characters feel more real.
I hope Marvel bring THC back for real instead of just reusing old assets. Sandman is always a fun character and nothing in the current MCU prevents him from existing
Absolutely agree with you on that! His character was really fun in Spider-Man 3 and he deserves a time to truly shine without having to share a story with Venom forced into it.
My favourites: 1. ShangChi 2. Spider-Man No Way Home 3. Moon knight ep1 4. Wandavision 5. Falcon&WinterSoldier ep 1 & 4 6. Thors guardians outfit (wish we go more of it) 7. The relationship between she hulk and daredevil 8. Yelena and Kate Bishop vibe 9. Ms Marvel 10. The Superman and SuperSpeed powers in eternals
I appreciate this video. I can agree that there were some parts that missed, but overall I did like most of Phase 4. I think you did a great job pointing out the great parts in this phase.
Doctor Strange vs Scarlet Witch is probably the rawest title that could ever fit for that movie and it's a shame we never got something like that. The only reason people are hating because is because multiverse is in the title and there weren't enough multiverses. But the movie is genuinely fantastic
You can see the bones of great ideas and labors of love. I wish the editing of stories had captured it, BUT the stories were fun, unique, and I'm still excited by the MCU!
I adore phase 4. Sure, we can argue how well it stacks up against the prior phases or how imbalanced it might seem to some, but to me it's exactly what we needed. Phase 4 is all about cracking open Pandora's Box. We got the Infinity Saga and now sky's the limit, we can fully embrace true comic book storytelling and style without being bound to the laws of what came before it, a fresh start, a new perspective on this world. I especially find it frustrating how the masses always claim to want originality and more artistic takes on the media they consume and yet when we let artists cash in their carte blanche...they reject it because it's different and unorthodox. Can't have both. I've connected with the MCU now more than I ever did with Phase 1 or 2 and obviously it's going to take time getting our new crop of heroes to where they need to be. To me, this is the kind of hero movies that make it worthwhile as a genre and helped inspire me to become a filmmaker and artist in the first place.
I loved that the swordsman was just completely understanding of how they would have thought he was the bad guy, and just completely let it go to just go on continuing being too amazing to be true and helping out
Thanks for making this video, I forgot how much of Phase 4 I really did enjoy. Easy to get caught up on the disappointments like Doctor Strange and Thor 4 but most of the stuff was pretty solid otherwise with a few standouts.
Thank you for saying this. I think a lot of the complaints were people who want to complain about Marvel since they attack things that are at the top. I think people who complained about She-Hulk never read the whole series in the comics. WandaVision was awesome and I loved Moon Knight. I agree, Hawkeye was a great Christmas story. It is also to compare this phase with the other phases, since this phase also had to deal with Covid in both production and for people watching. I still don't think movies had recovered. And you must take into account that the order of these movies were switched around (also due to Covid) and maybe made some of the overall story line disjointed. So I agree, take a step back and look at all the great things that Phase 4 introduced and what it can lead to in the future. And thanks for doing what you do and keep it up.

Existential ways we examine who we are and who we should be in Loki, Thor, Shang Chi, Doctor Strange, Cap, Marvel, Black Panther. And of course Moon Knight is a whole thing
• They really made so many of their remaining Avengers single now and I just think that’s funny.

Don't let those people get to you, they're mostly trend followers at this point - and who wants to be one of those?
Yes it is dead

@@DeadpoolX20 "maybe not always 1:1 transition of stories" did u read that part of what they said
They fumbled the ball.
It's so refreshing to hear someone talking about things they liked for once. Like you said about Iman, it's nice to have someone who isn't all jaded.

I listen to that main theme all the time too - I still get goosebumps like I’m seeing Kang’s statue revealed in the TVA for the first time. Undoubtedly my favourite score of the MCU.
Totally agree! I love the twist on Flight of the Valkyries. Samuel Kim's covers of Loki and Spiderman No Way Home are constantly on repeat for me
I love the main loki theme its so mysterious and cool.
the sad part about phase 4 is thinking what happend between wandavision and MoM, at the beginning of 2021 we screamed at the idea of evan peters coming to the mcu and they just did a little treat in a way that didn’t harm the continuity, then mid 2022 literally the leader of the mutants in the yellow rocket chair? we living the dream and are numb to how fun and exciting is all going. i think we have the problem, the global pandemic crisis and social media got us expecting the impossible
Truest words I ever seen, you are so on point
I loved everything in Phase 4. Different. Everything was different was different great in its own way.
I also never forgot that movies are made by people. And everyone lost someone during the pandemic.
There have been SO MANY videos popping into my recommendations about why “the MCU is dead” or whatever, and while yeah it could be a lot better currently the negativity is getting really repetitive and annoying. I’m really happy you made this video.
Think you really haven't given Moon Knight the chance it deserves! Other than the last episode (as in every disney+ show), I think it has consistently interesting episodes that are a blast to watch

I'm so glad someone said it, I really enjoyed most of phase 4 and I'm kinda sad it gets such a bad wrap

Was Ms Marvel and Moon Knight ending disappointing?

This video is the type of content that makes me really appreciate Nando as a creative voice on TH-cam. It has become much easier to nitpick or critique content, partly in thanks to the massive amounts of videos on this site that does just that. It's less of a safe bet to make a video that's 40 minutes of talking positively about a collection of works that has been widely written off by a group of fans. Thanks for taking a deeper look at these projects and really addressing what worked in them, and what we can hope to see more from Phase 5

@@DeadpoolX20 ah yes, delving into the experience of being a D.I.D. System is very “basic”.
@@Bonaboo Have you seen the show? It still feels like a basic standardized MCU show regardless of the main character having DID. It's not like he's the first MCU character to have DID either. @@DeadpoolX20 imagine watching episose 5 and being like “yep this is a standard mcu project.” Cognitive wasting disease, perhaps.
i disagree only loki and wandavision were different.
This is going to be one of those things where so much of it shines in hindsight, especially when the setups start paying off
i kinda thought wanda was changed in this movie, but looking back at her motivations throughout the films, you could argue that she never learned to stop being selfish. i had an issue with wanda's last line of wandavision because i wanted to believe she'd learned that, but i think it really works going into multiverse of madness
I think I've just been inspired to do a phase 4 rewatch!
This is why I love your channel! There's so much negativity in the comic book/geek section of the internet but you tend to bring a positivity and enthusiasm that reminds me why I love these genres. Thank you!
Iman Vellani is incredibly talented and I cannot wait to see her in The Marvels.
I'm halfway through the video and just wanted to say it's really well-made! and speaking of phase four; I think the only reason behind the controversy, is that the projects are SO diversed from each other that people missed the usual mcu buildup. Dude.

As a dad, Ms. Marvel has my favorite MCU side character.
He doesn’t need his own show, but if he did I’d probably watch it.
Macaris assault on Ikaris and everything else with her and Druig was SOOOOOOO awesome and my favorite aspects of that movie!
I loved in MoM them tracking each Strange variant with "Other Strange" and "Other Other Strange" and then finally "Other Other, other strange"
I forgot about a lot of the productions in phase 4 because there isn't much chatter about them, but almost every time you brought one up I was like "oh yeah I liked that!"
My favorite Phase 4 releases are WandaVision, No Way Home and Wakanda Forever. They all delivered the emotions that I didn't feel about the others.
THANK YOU SO MUCH I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE WHO ADORED PHASE 4

With so much negativity these days, it's nice to get a boost of positive energy for a change.
I love when we are positive. I did really enjoy a lot of these projects.
I loved Visions whole ship of Theseus conundrum in WandaVision. Deep.
The one thing people don’t realize about love and thunder is that it is the way it is because thor was using humor to cope and to push others away
And it’s intentionally exaggerated because korg was telling a story to kids

I'm not stranger to that kind of storytelling, I just didn't like how they did it. Princess Bride, this is not in terms of charm from being a story.
Well they did a poor job then
It having a reason for being bad doesn't make it not bad.
then by your explanation, Thor visiting his mom in the past is totally worthless then? Looked to me like Thor got super fcking serious abt his life again after talking to his mom and gaining Mjnoir again. But sure whatever floats your boat ig. For me, his character got severly assassinated
I love that you’re embracing the positivity. I still hope for great things from the mcu in the future.

Falcon and winter soldier or should I say captain America and the white wolf was honestly the best of the new phase
