There were 0 at my school of 2,000 last year. Some girl got into Stanford though.
My graduating class of ~80 had one person go to an Ivy League (Harvard). My high school was in Georgia and like 50% of the class went to UGA and 50% went to Georgia Southern lol

Most of the colleges they mention I think are private I feel bad for their parents. And bet the same major is offered in the city they live, in a public college. Some students mentioned so useless majors.

Why do y’all always come for the “everyone gets shot in chicago” narative? It’s so exhausting, shut up. Is there shootings in Chicago? Yes. But there’s shootings everywhere, not just Chicago.
I want to say this, plain and simple. If you are going to a top college, either Ivy or just a top school that costs somewhat a decent amount. I think you should at major in a degree that is known to be successful. My advice is don’t go to an expensive college if your major isn’t as price-worthy as the college is.

ur school is so different from mine! most people from my school just wanna go to ut austin, atm college station or uh. no one really applies out of state, especially because it's cheaper in state and a lot of people just get auto admission for being top 10%. i know one kid whos going to cornell, one for michigan and another whos going in florida but i don't know a whole lot more. no ones going in california:(( i wanna go there so bad. also, congratulations to all of your friends and classmates!!
Why would they? My dad made me move from New York to Texas by myself this year so that I get Texas residency in time for college lol. I’m living without my parents and siblings at 16 to go to Texas college.
Christian i completely understand why they dont! its a lot cheaper to live and go to school in texas. its just weird how compared to all the other years, barely anyone applied out of state.
I’m from Texas too so I totally understand! Many of my classmates are going in state and I’m the only one of my friends who’s going out of state (to Lehigh University)! I think what many Texans don’t know is that private schools give out much more scholarships and financial aid than public schools which is sad

I don't think anyone in my high school has gone to an Ivy or a top 25 school in the last few years, most people in my school don't even go to college and the ones that do go to community college, only a small fraction go to a 4 year university

@@Rose34561 Definitely study for it, ask your college center in your school or your counselor for any SAT practice books, attend tutorings and if you can pay to go to private ones, in my opinion they are worth it, make use of Khan Academy and other great resources, and speak with students that have taken it recently that got high scores so they can help you study for it!

Elizabeth Figueroa I think they mean for example a UK university requires you to get straight As in high school to attend whereas in the US you can be above or below the average GPA. i just Americanized the terms used lol
alayna d Different universities require different grades. Some require a 4.0 gpa others require 3.6. Some are less selective than others. Does it not work like that in the UK?
I think what CSR KPop meant, was that each course has a different grade requirement. You can't just apply to a school, get accepted and then choose a course. (It seems to be like that. Based on the video.) You have to get the grade required for the course you want, before you apply. For example, medicine might be harder to get in than education.
I'm just guessing. I'm from Singapore and it's like this here. We run on the British education system. So there's a high chance it's the same?
Everyone got into these colleges bc they had grades good enough to get in.

UChicago is better than Cornell. It doesn’t have the same name recognition to most people but people who are familiar with top colleges will tell you that Chicago is better than most of the Ivy League.
