Thank you Sir for this clear demonstration. Now I can install mine without translating the instruction manual attached on mine which is in Chinese language.
Well bugger not as good as i was hoping for. The mounts that bolt to the front panels fouls on the bonnet. The bonnet can actually close but the bonnet sits proud and not flush with the panels! I'm going to try swapping the mounts over and upside-down to see if that will work?
Bugger, you conned me in to it! Struts arrived today, now I just have to spend some quality in the shed. Price didn't change either? So happy with that Nitrolift!
Most difficult part about that kit is the brackets, the struts themselves can basically be grabbed from any other car that has similar sized ones from factory.
Can you maybe do a DIY video on fixing the clear coat on the headlights? I have the stock lights still and mine are also starting to get that dull spots on the lights...
well on my Mitsubishi Triton I had to drill through the guard & into the bottom bracket & install a small steel rivet next to the securing bolt to stop the bracket from turning when I open & close the bonnet. I did the bracket securing bolts up ridiculously tight too. If I tightened them any more I would have snapped the bolt. But these dumb design brackets still kept moving. The one stupid bolt design that is used to hold the bottom bracket in position is a pathetic idea. No wonder they are so cheap to buy.
@@robertboyd321 My bottom bracket also kept moving, I did tighten mine as well and I snapped the bolt off. I had buy longer bolts, installed with the longer new bolts but the bracket also kept on moving.
I bought some of these for my Triton and all I can say is you get what you pay for,,, which isn't much. They are the cheapest kit on the market and they are rubbish. The bottom ball stud brackets ( fits on guard) are rubbish. They move and bend under load. The stud shaft had corrosion too. Do yourselves a favor & Spend a bit extra & get a decent imported Strut conversion kit. Edit: Also on Right hand drive models the Right hand strut sits tight up against the top of the anti lock brake (steel tubes) that sit in front of the brake master cylinder when the bonnet is closed. I had to drop my ALB unit 5mm so it didn't hit. There is about 2mm movement in the ALB unit mount holes so you may have have enough movement (down) so the metal tubes just to clear the strut without modification of the mount holes
Agreed I got some replacements for my car boot and also ordered the cheapest ones. After taking out the old ones I found out I wasted 30mins the replacements was worse then the originals and did not hold up my boot
Installed one of these today. Bought on EBAY. Does not look like yours and when I close the bonnet, the strut on the left is hitting the fuel filter before the bonnet is fully closed. EBay UK is full of cheap nasty stuff.

Thank you! A simple installation and a useful mod without breaking the bank.

Job done, works well. Compressing the struts was a little challenging though to get on?

It makes such a difference though best mod for the engine bay

@@ServiceMyRide good to be honest mate no complaints so far
Thank you kindly for the video! In fact thank you for all your videos. It’s been really helpful indeed!
Good idea, I like that you don't have to drill holes.
Cheapest and easiest bolt on mod to do.
Thanks. Super easy and really recommended these struts 👍👍

I brought gas shockers for my bonnet but the driver side l can't fit due to the abs lines are in the way unless l have put brackets on wrong way
Doin any vids soon?? Cheers for all the previous material 👌

Nice DIY easy upgrade with no drilling required!!!

How are these after 18 months? Saw the conversion kit today and was interested but only if they'll last well.
Hi mate, No issues at all and I'm lifting the bonnet weekly doing things to my car, work very well.
Service My Ride any head shaped dents in the hood yet?
I have only seen struts for a Qashqai being sold from China nothing near me In South Wales UK
Will this work on a classic k74?
In Aus the k74 is a MK and I havent seen them for that model.
