    I'd never heard this before. What a cool riff with so many other cool licks and tricks. Randy Rhoads was a bloody genius and did so much to help Ozzy forge his identity post-Sabbath.

    I remember back in the 80s I played in a HS garage band and the drummers dad was stationed in Japan and he brought back an LP with this as a B-side. It was cool because no one had heard anything except the first two Randy/Ozzy album material. That’s all there was here. No internet to hear releases in other countries. He also had a B-Side called Spiders, which was released as an extra track on Bark at the moon years later for the states.

  • @boomerrocksUSA
    @boomerrocksUSA 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

    It was a b-side on a picture disc from the 1980s. Its not "previously unreleased". The solo section is lifted right out of an old Quiet Riot song called "Breaking up is a heartache"

    His tone is all from his fingers and those altec speakers. You can mimic his tone perfectly with speaker response emulation. They are very clear sounding glassy but at the same time reverse scooped eq sounding. Very rare speakers but you can find many similar voiced speakers. Check out johan segeborn speaker demos

    Two things: 1. There's another B-side song from the Blizzard era called You Said It All. 2. You Looking... didn't make it on Blizzard because they wanted to give their drummer a writing credit, so No Bone Movies, which was originally going to a B-side, was swapped in.

    • @timothyrice1621

    This has always been one of my favorite songs by Randy Rhoads/Ozzy. It sounds much more like his Quiet Riot days. I love Randy as a glam/pop player - the metal aspect is great but I love the pop. :You Said It All" is another unknown classic from the Mr. Crowley EP

    You could make a video showing how to do that, to pick something by ear, tips and stuff you know. I know it's something that involves a lot of practice, but just knowing the process you're going through to break down the sound and be able to tell what notes/chords they're playing would be awesome

    Such a good song. Ozzy might as well have gone mute by the 90’s as far as I’m concerned but from ‘69 until Randy died he put together some amazing stuff. Or his wife put him into some good spots, but his voice really was sick before he completely lost it.

    Wait-you can play the bits with Ozzy's vocal ok but when you play Randy's solo your video gets blocked? Its as if some interested parties don't want Randy to get the full exposure he should. Or have I got it twisted? The lack of posthumous live footage and concert albums since Tribute is just odd. You just know there's some great stuff being sat on for some reason.

    I dig all your videos. You have a ton of talent. If you ever feel like a change of pace, you might enjoy producing a video based on Sandy Nelson's Let There Be Drums. You'll see what I mean, but it defiantly needs some riffs. And the drums are crazy man! I would give the end of one of my fingers I don't use very often to see you play this beat... Or maybe a toe. Need all the digits for the gitfiddle, right? ;)

    This song was supposed to be on Blizzard. Then they wrote "No bone movies" and replaced it with that. Too bad because "no bone movies" is much more of a B-Side (imo). Ozzy's vocals are killer on the chorus and Randy's solo is beyond amazing for You looking at me looking at you

    Hey, Mike, I had a quick question regarding pull-offs. Whenever I try to do pull-offs by plucking the string, I always either hit the string underneath, or end up pulling the note down and bending it sharp. However, if I just lift it straight off the fretboard, it makes barely any sound. Any advice?

    • @kkarx
      @kkarx 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It is absolutely normal to touch/hit the string underneath. It is virtually impossible to play pull-offs without any contact with the string below. All you need to do is mute that string(s) with your point finger. You should cover string(s) (the more the better) below the string you play all the time and not just when you play pull-offs. If you bend the note sharp you pluck the string unnecessarily too much. Pluck just that much it makes a solid sound and doesn't go off tune.
