I think a lot of people view the job market in a silo.
You work for a corporation. That corporation’s sole objective is to survive. Money is a crucial part of its survival.
Now if that corporation houses staff that have to be highly paid, well looked after (which is expensive ), a great physical work environment, pensions & the like, the high taxes that that corporation pays to have you there… people at some point, corporations will explode! This is why you’re seeing so many layoffs.
I think a lot of employees are overly entitled. That corporation was built by one very brave person who had an idea.
You as the employee is not owed all these luxuries simply for working there. That business can go bust at any minute, and at that point, with so many employees & so little with the ability to start & maintain companies.. where does society stand?
Once an employee gets out there and tries to run a business on their own they’ll be able to view the corporations that employ them with more empathy. Honestly, we are all quite fortunate to have corporations that can consistently pull in revenue over decades. With no corporations, we have NO WORK!

I think a lot of the burnout directly correlates to the fact that wages are not keeping up with inflation. I know I have personally had jobs that were extremely demanding of my time & energy, but I was making really good money. In that case I was a lot more willing to put up with BS & BS managers. At that time I had enough money to live comfortably & fund my dreams & hobbies outside of work. But when you are working a shit ton of hours & barely able to scrape by, the burnout is real. I lose the will to work when it is like sacrificing my life to barely even scrape by. It is a miserable feeling.

Sadly a lot of those people are also just working to pay bills, can't even get the time off to relax or use a lot of those benefits when needed so it's almost a waste. A waste of life, talent, skill of everything and previous generations probably never realized this until it was too late while newer generations are starting to understand this now and they're speaking out about it. I was sexually harassed twice at that store, management didn't do shit because I was a guy, and I kept actively looking for jobs because my mom wouldn't let me quit. Then they wouldn't let me come back to work for several months because of possible seizures, and I didn't come back until after I graduated (Believe me, life was bliss without having to constantly be at work) because they needed a doctor's note. I found it bc I recently find all these dudes really hating women and applauding each other for it, and figured that straight men hating women justjust would be a disadvantage in terms of biology and species survival, so those men who don't t like women maybe actually secretly like men? But looking closely men actually don't t like men either, they re quite a menace to everyone, including themselves. Maybe we actually were this sexless species living in peace and serenity and harmony with all life, until some alien parasite came down with an Asteroid, and turned the infected individuals are controlled by the parasite(in Germany there was this whole cedy movie about a guy s dick talking to him and constantly talking him into fucking some girl. I have been fortunate to be at jobs that took inflation into account and would raise our salaries. But, those companies are few and far between.

I quit my last job without one lined up. They messed up 2 checks, gave me a 0.25$ raise and kept me in training after 6 months. I walked in with 20yrs experience in the industry!! I told my supervisor that a year or more of “training “ reflects on poor management.
The week I quit was spent looking for a new job. I had full availability for interviews. I had a few job offers by end of week.
I’m about to do it again. The place I’m at now is dragging feet hiring me full time with benefits.
Looking for a better job has become my new side hustle!

I work for a state wide credit union. Since we got this new manager, work went from tolerable to insufferable. Actively putting out applications but have had thoughts daily to just drop my laptop at his desk and flipping him off. But... baby got bills and I want to do this right.

Management and the Toxicity it's just becoming so overwhelming. I've been at this company for only about 7 months and people are seeing the change in me. They say why do you look so sad or your not that Happy person im used to seeing and it's demoralizing. I want to enjoy my life and my Children. At the same time I do need the money because Bills not only don't stop but there rising 😢. But if I had Management who Communicates or just even acknowledged me i would be interested but who's to say. I am not one to kiss anyone a** at all 💯 and I will not ever. Just ready to move on 💯 I love listening and watching your videos and I think you're so Beautiful 😘 Enjoy your day 🙏🏾

Actually people don't quit their jobs but quit seeing toxic managers and toxic work place, just from quitting my government job due to a very rude, gaslighting, and toxic manager. I felt into serious depression and anxiety. His level of micromanaging was awful 😢. He is always right and you wrong. I tried putting up with that and couldn't compromise my mental health for the idiot. I quit and felt so relieved 😊

I quit my 9-5 2 months ago. Unemployed and happy as hell. My anxiety is non existent now when I was having panic attacks literally every day at work.
I am about to start back working but I will only accept working gigs where I can pick and choose when to work. I am about to substitute teach and work at a hotel as a banquet server on call. I will do this while working on my own business.

Working a 2-3 person job and being expected to get them done like there’s 2-3 people there has BEEN tiring for the last 7+ years I’ve been working. I can only imagine people who’ve been working 30+ years…but they “don’t have enough hours” for someone to be there to help me but management can sure watch me run around and bark at me that a customer is at the register when I’m changing trash or cleaning tables and dishes.

Those of us who are older should know it's changed over the last 20-30 years. There are significantly less people working but more productivity. Most are doing the work of 2-3 people which is why everyone is tired & over it all. They are not trying to employ enough people.

Oh Lord, he has never lied, as the sun sets on Sunday, anxiety sets in for me for the upcoming work week. I feel the same way. My husband and I. I literally emotionally and mentally quit my job everyday. I feel that I am very close to physically quitting my job. I don’t know the day or time but my job is very stressful too the point that it takes away from me emotionally and mentally. I am a perfectionist when a stellar work ethic but I don’t work well being micromanaged. Working 5 days a week and 2 off isn’t enough for my mental reset any longer. I go through way too much throughout the week to only have 2 days off. It’s horrible! So I get it!
