The accusation wasn't that she was unconscious the entire time (although, apparently, that did happen based on Dom's own admission)....The accusation is that she was underage (meaning under 21) and blackout drunk. Supplying her with alcohol was a crime. Having relations with her when she wasn't able to consent was a crime. None of Dom's "excuses" justify anything, he's just validating her story.
Across colleges around the country people over 21 are supplying people under 21 alcohol at parties. Is that a crime too? Are the guys and girls who throw parties committing crimes when 18 19 and 20 year olds drink at their parties?

Years ago I had just turned 21 and had a small gathering where yes I did have alcohol when 2 people there were 20. I was assaulted and was afraid to admit what happened because of that. Finally I did and they literally couldn’t care less. They were too occupied focusing on my assault. They literally told me it’s not that serious and realistically they know stuff like that happens with college kids.

That is not a way you talk about someone you have been intimate with consensually, nevermind with credible accusations that this young woman was inebriated and unable to consent to. It is incredibly disrespectful and degrading to her. It really speaks to his lack of integrity.

I was 14 Olivia, developed bpd and addiction. Been in psych wards, tried to end it, but I'm still here, we are still here. Thank you for speaking about what happened to you, I talked about it 8 years after it happened and only to a therapist and a few of my friends, the rest of them don't even know. I still feel guilty and ashamed even though I know I shouldn't. Thank you Olivia, you gave me the strength to open up more.

I think a really important thing this situation highlights, is that men need to hold the other men in their life accountable. You cannot call yourself a "feminist" or a "good guy" and just point fingers at other men if you know your best friend has done something predatory to a woman (or anyone) and you just buried your head in the sand. Grow a pair and stand up to your friends.

It sickens me that Dom has the nerve to even get on social media and TH-cam and talk about this and deny what obviously happened and basically blame everyone else but himself (he blames David & co., the victim, the victim’s friends). Most people would hide away and be at least ashamed of getting caught, if not their actions and silence their social media. He’s trying to squeeze any bit of notoriety he can out of the media attention and situations and turn it into the 15 minutes of fame he never could quite garner. He always creeped me out in the few of David’s earlier TH-cam posts that I did watch, I hated the way he treated women and it surprises me in no way the allegations he has against him from the way he acted in the past. It went far past immaturity into inappropriateness and illegal. Plain disgusting waste of a human being.

I love Ethan and know he has a huge heart but he seems to struggle with being sympathetic or showing emotion towards others when they r hurting. I’ve noticed it in the past and really noticed it with Olivia in this clip. I know he cares though is the thing.
Oh I’m sure he cares! Sometimes it’s difficult to know how to react when someone opens up about something so personal and tragic. He definitely cares for and wants all his crew to be comfortable, it was probably just shocking to hear.
I felt that too! He very much likes Olivia. You can tell he always welcomes her point of view, as he should. He's always very gentle with her, and she regularly checks him without embarrassing him. He definitely struggles with that and I'm willing to bet that it could be because it's being filmed. I wonder if maybe he didn't want to put her on the spot even more so than she already was when she shared her story. Sometimes you just don't know what to say. I wonder if the clips are discussed as a team prior to using them as a segment. If not, maybe that's a place for improvement.

About 21 years ago I was SA'd and it was the scared situation, and alot of the time girls feel their life is in danger if they try to fight. That's what happened in my situation. I truly feel for you and I am sorry you had to sit through watching a rapist shame his victim and excuse all of his actions. and Olivia is right, a lot of people don’t believe women. It happened to me when I was 17, and when I went to report it later on the police ran around in circles with questions, they made me feel as though they thought I just wanted to ruin someone’s life. The only time someone made me feel like they believed me in the police station was when a female officer told me that It wasn’t my fault and that I was not responsible for other peoples actions when I cried telling her that I understood I chose to drink and I no one forced me to drink, but I didn’t choose to get left by the people I trusted and I didn’t know my limit, but I was with people I trusted there. I told them what happened and they disregarded the rape part and just said they’d put down penetration with a foreign object, even though I stated over and over again that more than that happened. I feel like I wasn’t taken seriously and that was the reason it took me that long to say anything anyways.
