I stayed at Ronnie’s house in the early 2000’s because he was my best friend’s uncle. Dude was the absolute coolest down to earth guy. I woke up one morning staying in his guest barn/studio and walked upstairs to him recording “that red dirt road”. It was just him and he was belting out the lyrics. I just posted up and watched for a while. One of the coolest memories i have. Such a humble cool dude.
I get the sense that Kix in particular is the easiest human to get along with who has ever lived. I imagine he eases the tensions of any group that he is in the presence of.
I love everything from Pac , Radiohead, George Strait, Brooks and Dunn, the brian jonestown massacre, green day, nirvana, spacemen 3, spectrum, i could name 300
His voice is completely unique and inimitable, and I say that as a singer who can properly imitate most male country singers with ease. He is as difficult to copy as Dolly must be for female vocalists.
These boys are so easy to listen to (and understand) for a non-American. As someone who came across their music recently, I'm constantly amazed at what they have done, and now, going ahead with their brilliant collaborations. I'm full of admiration for them. 😊
I’ll never forget the time in 2009 at Ft. Campbell, KY when Kix (unannounced) sat in a room with about twenty screaming eagles playing his guitar and talking to us for a couple of hours. That’s one of my favorite memories. They’ll never tell you this, but they would stop on their way back to Nashville at Ft. Campbell just to hang out with the soldiers to say thank you. These men are truly good men.
Going to be a long shot that they see this but I’m going to write it anyway. Thankfully I grew up with these gentlemen on the radio and I still listen when I need a good boost in my day. My youngest daughter was born with a kidney defect and has spent countless days in hospital ERs and patient rooms. During times of despair, she would just cry and whimper while my wife or I would rock her for comfort. At my wit's end, I turned on some Brooks & Dunn in an ER room one night and my daughter had visible relief from her pain. It was enough even for her to fall asleep. Ever since when I play B&D, she comes to me and hugs me and we’ll even dance a little too. She and her siblings are the light of my world and trust me, they’ll be raised on the same great music. Thank you guys!
You can tell when Theo feels comfortable and in his element with the people sitting next to him. Super warm genuine conversation. That is when he is the funniest.
To this day, Neon Moon is still one of my favorite songs. 🫡 I grew up on their music in the 90s in the Rio Grande Valley. My uncle would pack up all of us kids in the Astro van and take us for a cruise on all those farm-to-market roads, the smell of citrus blossoms in the air. He would blast these guys, Garth Brooks, Cyrus, Selena, Alan Jackson, Chestnut, Clint Black. My goodness, so much good music.
I didn't want it to end!!! 😭 This was such a good episode. I love getting to learn more about people, especially how they interact with Theo. 😂❤ It's amazing & I'm so thankful for the opportunity to actually get to see it. 👏 Theo, you do an amazing job. I'm so proud of how far you've come!! You're the best in my book!! ❤
I used to dance and sing to all the Brooks & Dunn songs when I was a little girl with my Papa in the living room every week when I slept over my grandparent’s house. Then when all my aunts and uncles started getting married, we would always put on a show for the whole family and dance together to a few of their songs to the utter delight of everyone there. All my aunt’s knew the boot scoot and boogie dance. It was a good time. But it was ALWAYS Brooks & Dunn songs.
I’ve been a fan of these guys since 1990. I bought their debut album on cassette with my weekly allowance in 1991. I was nine years old. I still listen to their early albums on a regular basis. Awesome to hear them having fun with Theo.
Amazing podcast with the greatest group IMO. I grew up in the city and am the only one I knew growing up jamming to these two. Didn’t care. Great music crosses over to those who listen. Stay blessed Brooks and Dunn
Theo, Im an old woman and I love watching your show. You seem to me to be genuine, humble, curious and kind. Fame is a good as long as you have a place to get away from it to recharge and be yourself. Just remember who you are and the lessons you learned coming up. Pat yourself on the back, stay humble, and keep growing and going. And remember fame draws the crazy women like flies, pick a solid one who loves you not your fame and will call you out when you need it.
I love their sense of humor and of course their music! It shows how much Theo enjoyed listening to their stories, he was truly intrigued. Great interview!!

This has been a really wholesome Podcast with these boys . I have a friendly suggestion . Theo , have you thought about doing a Podcast outside rather than indoors. Say for an example at your Nashville base home in your backyard and have a nice small fire pit lit 🔥 some comfy outdoor chairs around the fire pit having a drink of what ever people drink doesn't have to be alcohol and film outside in the evening as the sun is setting. Great line. Theo has said it a bunch of times on his pods.

Probably the smoothest interview Theo has done yet. They were all just clicking like ol buddies. Good stuff

Ronnie Dunn not having a deal as a solo artist prior to the duo is insane. He has one of if not the best voice
