    The biggest mistake people make is taking their car to the garage... unknowingly to them, the garage will replace some of their original parts with fake or cheaper versions... and sell the real part on eBay or charge another motorist for it... you only find out months later when you cannot prove who did it.. best advice is to take pictures of the car inside, outside, and engine compartment in close up.. and check them again before you drive out of the garage...

    One other very important thing you should never do is start the car and drive away immediately. You should always let your engine idle for at least 30 seconds so oil will get circulated between all the bearings and load bearing surfaces. This is how you reduce engine wear. Because if there is no oil between the bearings, engine wear occurs.

    I am always surprised why ppl just throw the shifter in P and never use the hand brake or parking brake when it's there for a reason.

    • @tbas8741
      @tbas8741 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      A car cannot slip out of park and the Park "pin" cant wear out its a pin that goes through the output shaft locking it.
      the only way to wear out or damage "park" is to put it in P while car is moving.
      Once its stopped regardless of the Hill you are on P will hold it + hand brake.
      If you have it on steep hill holding with handbrake then put it in park if handbrake cable snaps then sudden impact on park pin could shear it off or damage it.
      Its the same in a manual if facing forward down a hill, Put it in reverse release the clutch and brake till transmission loaded the apply handbrake.
      specially in front wheel drives so all 4 wheels are locked then.

    Btw the fuel pump is made in a way that always sucks the fuel from the bottom of the tank. So you’re incorrect the thing that causes damage is running out off fuel and the pump sucking air.

    • @AliMECH
      @AliMECH  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's not about sucking air, when the fuel level is low, the fuel cooling the fuel pump is so much less, to keep the pump at low temperature

    Front wheel drive cars with an Auto parked on a Hill should Always put it in park first release foot off brake then apply handbrake.
    So all 4 wheels are now locked properly as the back is much lighter is has less holding power.
    If you are on a hill and release brake and back of car raises up you did it wrong.
    manual should be in gear first then parking brake, so cable is not holding full weight. !

    • @AliMECH
      @AliMECH  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No matter if its manual or automatic

      @@AliMECH Not in PARK.
      Park is a pin that goes right through the transmission output shaft it cannot roll or slip , no hill is that steep your wheels will start sliding (snow excluded) .
      it can only be sheared off like putting it in park while moving but then dont worry car wont move anyways as transmission will be jammed with broken parts.

    Thanks. I hire a nurse to take care of my 2000 Toyota Camry. I pay her 30k a year. My car works forever,happy with that.

      You could just a brand new one every year for that price. I'll take care of it for you for only 20k a year, then I can afford to buy a new car. 😉👍 😂

    @2:29 "Wait at least a half hour before washing car everytime." (To wash wheels and brake rotars)
    That's not possible, or practical, when taking it through an automated car wash like most people do. I've never had a problem, in my 43 years of driving, with a warped brake rotor by washing them while hot at the car wash. I've never heard of it happening to anyone else either in my entire lifetime. Don't buy such a cheap p.o.s. 💩 vehicle and you won't ever have to worry about that. 😂 🤣 😂 Are you going to tell me that the brake rotars are going to warp while driving in the rain, too? 😂 Come on!! 🙄 It doesn't and won't happen.

      Dude I speak with experience, try to wash it after a street race 😅or after a road trip when the weather temperatures above 110f/45c, I had American and german cars and it happed, when it rains, it's a different story, the whole ambient temperature will be low and the temperature difference will be less, that's why it wont effect rotor in the rain

      Thanks Mike, as I explained, rain is a different story, no problem with rain for rotors
