I think they're finally getting to do what they always wanted with OKC, release a video for every track. I think its lovely. My favorite moment from A Moon Shaped Pool's promo was them releasing new artwork periodically for several weeks after the record hit; this feels similar, like a special event. Ok so i can't get over how good this is! Especially when you hear it through headphones. That guitar only on the left ear.. what a genius move to create a soundscape that way. An Audiophiles wet dream.
it is absolutely impossible for these guys to make a bad song. this has some incredible guitar riffs. definitely my favorite. no bad/weak song on that album.
Those little subtile sophisticated drumfills. The ka poom poom 1:13. The bass joining in at middle of the song. The twist in the rhytm. That mysterious little flute in the echo right before the end.. This song is a masterpiece.

But somehow, it's nothing compared with the emotional heaviness and sophistication, but also the sadness, despair and devastation of Radiohead and The Smile's music. I can burst in tears only talking about Radiohead, Thom Yorke or the Smile. It's that good.

I fell in love with OK Computer. I was doing acid, for the first (and only time) with some shipmates while we were in Intelligence A School and getting our top secret clearance background checks done. We watched "Meeting People is Easy" on VHS in my barracks. My life changed that day, forever, and I will never forget that night. The next morning my alarm clock went off and Karma Police was playing, toward the end of the song where is angelic voice sings "For a minute there I lost myself, I lost myse ee ellllfff, phew for a minute there I lost myself...." and I was transfixed and I felt things in my heart I didn't even know could be there. Love this man forever. His vibration is high.

I swear I felt like such a fool when I finally read the lyrics. For the longest time I thought he was saying “Mickey Mouse shoes on our necks” instead of “making mushrooms out of men”. A damn fool! Love this album so much. This is my 2nd favorite but 1st live.
God this album is amazing. After a few listens, I love all the songs, but this one, man. Ever since I saw them do the original rocking version of Reckoner on the Kid A/Amnesiac tour, I was hoping they’d go in a darker, eerier, still gorgeous, but more mathy direction. Wish granted. After almost 30 years of fandom, I had high hopes, but honestly didn’t think I’d have this on repeat for six hours straight this morning. God I hope this isn’t a one off album like Atoms For Peace. But I have a feeling a lot of fans aren’t gonna like it. The time meter on The Same is nuts. And I imagine super confusing for a lot of people.
I don't think this is a one off (well since this is a fully complete side band and AFP was all Thom's songs with the accompaniment of others) But yes I agree, here's to more Smile materials in the future.
this song rocks hard almost like 2+2=5 and the video is so uncomfortably awesome. i'm so impressed with the album and what effort it must've taken to put it all together. is this climate rock? the album's theme is pretty clear and brings much needed attention to the crisis. may the critics smile upon it!

I love this, we all want more Radiohead but this is like the methadone for a Radiohead addiction. It hits all the right highs and is similar, but totally different. To late to be an explorer, to early to see another galaxy. But here for this.
its what i loved about radiohead, the nervousness, audible irritability and general twitchiness. the slow side can be beautiful but i think its this post-punkish, irritable rhythm that they shine with. i think amsp was a response to the muted reception of the king of limbs, which is a shame because i love that record
