What a band Glass Beams is, they truly teleport you to a distant time with their music, I feel like I am in a desert but in a cyberpunk dystopia, doing illegal car races in the desert with Glass Beams bursting out loud in the speakers.

naw dawg that ain't it. thievery corporation is much more downtempo, floaty, and chill. glass beams is dope, don't get me wrong, but just listening to the music and disregarding their "aesthetic" they sound a lottttt like a darker and more edgy version of khruangbin, altin gun, or even someone like red axes, and the more rock / dark disco side of electronic music inflenced by the psychedelic turkish and tel aviv rock scenes. glass beams is pretty much only playing straight up phrygian, hungarian minor, and some melodic minor riffs, at least mark from khruangbin knows his way around some other modes lol.

Saw them live in Chicago. Ah-Mazing! You think it sounds good here, seeing and hearing it live and being fully immersed in the music was transformative. A rarity to be able to be enveloped musically like that. Won't forget it.

I got an ad a few months ago, about these guys coming to town. I was intrigued, so I bought tickets. One of the best sounding concerts I've ever seen live. The levels were *chef's kiss*. Hats off to the audio engineer that night.
Australia has the best music scene right now, for a reason. They aren’t ruled by corporate radio as much as the states and Western Europe. It appears to me that radio stations are much more varied too. Considering most of the population lives on the coasts, that’s pretty cool.
I love this music. So glad I came across this band. Their music is so groovy and lush but it’s never in the way of what you are doin. I was listening to it in the background while working and I was enjoying it without it detracting me from my work. Actually kind of inspiring in the background or with your full attention. Love it
