@@SPACEDESIGNWAREHOUSE the DIY option is definitely going to be the way to go unless these come way down in price. I've seen videos of people making this same type of thing from a drink cooler.
So, spend an extra $2500 plus shipping costs to silence two devices that might make a profit of a dollar a day right now.... wise? I know you're trying to generate content, but might DCAing into BTC be a smarter move?
My guess is that you agree Bitcoin won’t ultimately stay this cheap. And more than just to have content, this is to show options.. There are folks who want to mine at home but simply can’t because of the noise. This makes it possible. I agree that the price is nuts; I don’t set the price though, and even the company itself has a DIY plan to make your own! This is basically ‘for display purposes’ or for the guy who has it all and money is no object, I guess:)
@@SPACEDESIGNWAREHOUSE Oh sure... and yes, BTC in all likelihood will continue it's overall upward trajectory. My point is that since BTC is so "cheap" right now (even though it does represent 2017's ATH) you could potentially get so much more BTC NOW by simply buying it and then, as profitability of mining gets better, sell off some of that acquired BTC and THEN start mining.... does that make sense?
@@dimitrikatsaros9212 Absolutely, that makes perfect sense! People are so crazy impulsive, though, that they bought a bunch of miners during the holiday craze - had them delivered, and literally never turned them on because they dont know what 240v means and found out theyre super loud. I have a whole discord full of conversations of people who have had their machines in boxes for months. Its a bummer. So they already HAVE the hardware - sure its about the same to just pay what you would in electricity and buy BTC, and you SHOULD.. But if you've got the machines, you should find a way to run them.. Those who mined all through the last bear market are sitting so pretty now...
@@SPACEDESIGNWAREHOUSE Okay... in that context, that makes a lot of sense. If you already have the miner, the only reason to turn one off is if it's running negative profit

"Thats not worth doing" 🤣 Seriously its non armored cable at 240v and its going through a jagged metal hole. Get a grommet or a rubber cable entrance plate. I'm using the second on my homemade version of this. As a mechanic I thought the muffler annalgy was perfect, same thought I had when I saw this the first time. I'm building mine out of an old furnace, so powered ventilation that I can direct outside in the summer and inside in the winter.
Its true, it is a lot of power going through a jaggy entrance thats made out of a conductive material, BUT those cables are wrapped individually INSIDE the red cable jacket - a lot would have to happen to get the bare copper to make it to the aluminum. Its not like a car part where there are vibrations and bumps and that sort of thing.. Its going to sit perfectly still in the corner of a warehouse. I love the old furnace idea.. I hate that im in Florida and I literally use heat like MAYBE two days out of the year, so theres nothing productive to be done with it unless Im going to try to get extremely clever and heat water or something with it
SDW that’s one nice idea, I built a few box with all parts from HomeDepot for less than $100 and it drops 26-27db, what I don’t understand is why has someone not just make a quiet high RPM fan, all the noise are just from the fans, the small PSU fans and the main 120-140mm fans depending on miner, why not just make the fans quiet, to me that’s the perfect fix, for small ASIC miner like the S9 or L3’s they make quiet 120mm fans and become the PSU don’t really make any noise just upgrading to high flow high CFM 3k RPM quiet fans works, for the bigger BTC miner 3k RPM just don’t cut it you need 5k minimum with very high CFM and so far I can’t location 5+K RPM quiet fans .. someone should just make that better fix IMO ..
Also on most if not all the dual fan miners their PSU is attach and you also need to vent the very hot air from the PSU property, that big box does not seems to care too much about the PSU intake and exhaust.. that needs to be corrected.
@@fullyelectric it’s true it seems to ignore the PSU. It will be getting fresh air and presumably circulating it’s heated air (the PSU air) into the intake for the hashboards. But it’s not enough to raise temps
2500$ they should all come down a little. The price of the thing is downright outrageous, because you can better buy an imersion cooling, you also have more of. Halzabschneider, I wish them with all my heart that the not sell one more box and have to close their store.

They are awesome but you can make this with an old chest freezer for $100...
cost more than an asic
I am mining in Utopia ecosystem, it is much more profitable than spending money on hardware
I dont know what that is.
Do they ship australia?
I don’t see why not! I think they’re Canadian.. so even coming to me was a whole country away as I’m at the very bottom of the us.
Mate you’ll spend a fortune getting it down under lol
Looks like a really cool product, but $2500 seems excessively expensive for what is basically a modified utility trunk.
I completely agree about the price. They have plans to diy your own out of wood.
Over priced

For $2500 + tax and shipping, going to give it a hard pass. Cool video though!
Right that’s most of the way to another s19 right there

What's the ambient temp inside the box? Seems like it would have an oven effect, even with venting.

Great video!
Not space efficient tho
But efficient noise cancellation
Yeah, I really think of it as a second furnace meant for a storage area. In my case, a warehouse with plenty of space.
Are you still an IMSA photographer?
I’m still on the list, yes. They reach out to come, but I haven’t shot at one for a while.

Fit fan simulators, then just buy a bigger fan that's silent and blow the miner with that. That's the only true silent way
