They've captured his heroic sacrifice so brilliantly while making the battle itself intensely thrilling. It was sad enough when Lois held him in her arms, but the moment I saw the kid he saved react to his death, it just tore my heart open.
Doomsday growing claws to deal with Lois is never gonna be not hilarious to me. Man took more emotional damage from that rock than physical damage the whole fight
Doomsday really has some dramatic pacing. He easily could’ve ran up and snapped her in half in a blink of an eye, but he decided he wanted to give Superman the chance to save her. He’s a pretty nice guy deep down
@joshua ashley since there are only smartasses in this section.. doomsday becomes stronger and stronger as the time passes! he is a creature that adapts every second so as long as he fights he learns how to deal with his victims. that's why superman was overwhelmed as the fight went on
It's kinda dumb tbh, flash took a hit sure but he wasn't down, and green lantern technically never actually got hit, only his constructs, and if breaking his shield somehow took him down that's a crap shield
I know it's a fun comment, but the claws are doomsday evolving, it's nothing to do with Lois, he was designed to be a physically unstoppable machine by Kryptonians.
I’ve always loved how the rest of the league shows up like a minute after he died and they’re just like “shit we should NOT have stopped at that gas station for Tylenol”
The single most powerful character in all of comics history without a doubt is Lois Lane. Powers? 1. Teleportation: Teleports to wherever she wants, whenever she wants 2. Invincibility: Can survive earth shattering blasts 3. Immortality: Can resurrect from dead 4. Superspeed: Can arrive from top of a high rise building to the streets in an instant, before superman. 5. Omnipresent: Is present everywhere. Wherever superman goes, she's already there 6. Telepathy: Can read superman's mind in no time 7. Mind-control/memory manipulation: Literally controls/manipulates the most powerful superhero in the universe 8. Healer: Can heal superman mentally or physically 9. Untouchable: None of the supervillians ever came close to even touching her 10. News reporting: Reports every major world news in existence live

Neither is it the acme of excellence if you fight and conquer and the whole Empire says, "Well done!" 10. To lift an autumn hair is no sign of great strength; to see the sun and moon is no sign of sharp sight; to hear the noise of thunder is no sign of a quick ear. 11. What the ancients called a clever fighter is one who not only wins, but excels in winning with ease. 12. Hence his victories bring him neither reputation for wisdom nor credit for courage. 13. He wins his battles by making no mistakes. Making no mistakes is what establishes the certainty of victory, for it means conquering an enemy that is already defeated. 14. Hence the skillful fighter puts himself into a position which makes defeat impossible, and does not miss the moment for defeating the enemy. 15. Thus it is that in war the victorious strategist only seeks battle after the victory has been won, whereas he who is destined to defeat first fights and afterwards looks for victory.

I don't think most people understand just how significant Superman's victory here was. Doomsday was a creature that was literally created to be impervious to physical force of virtually any magnitude...and yet Kal beat him to death and broke his neck. No one's like Kal-El of Krypton.
Superman was holding back the whole fight he wanted to take out doomsday without harming any civilians or causing too much damage he was trying to hit Doomsday with a certain amount of force every time hoping he could beat Doomsday to death but he realised that he can't and upped his force and it worked if Superman went all out he really could have beaten this version of Doomsday fast but he cannot hit Doomsday that hard bc he can destroy cities. Superman is always fighting holding back and he beats everyone on earth holding back that's how strong he is. Superman is also not as powerful as his most powerful versions in this movie. Superman can contain nuclear level explosions in his hands. Doomsday if he gets hit by Superman really going all out will be damaged badly the DC universe is fortunate Superman doesn't have the same personality as Homelander or Omni Man ha.
So Doomsday can’t die the same way twice. Meaning in the New 52 Timeline, Doomsday will comeback, but he won’t be able to have his neck snapped again. It just isn’t that Doomsday is super strong, just that he will always come back stronger and you’ll eventually run out of ways to kill him

Despite us already knowing Clark gotten killed by that monster, his death was still an emotional one! Because he’s isn’t just a Hero and Boy Scout, but a Symbol of Hope to everyone, and always sees the bright side in everything. And this movie also tragically tells us: despite the Man of Steel being all powerful, he is still a Mortal, and Mortals can still bleed.
It's hard to note the difference in an animation, but to me, Superman's big scream when he charged at Doomsday wasn't anger or rage like you usually see in anime. It was sheer determination. Superman wasn't getting a boost from emotion, he was gathering every last ounce of strength in him, giving everything he had left, to end this fight.
Yeah and honestly i love it cause lex got cucked hard in that scene. He got publicly decimated by doomsday and right as doomsday was about to kill him superman of all people saves him
Lex tried to steal the credit, but wound up being a distraction. As for Superman saving him, of _course_ Superman saved him. Even if you've made yourself his archenemy, Superman doesn't want you dead.
damn lois man. if doomsday didn't get distracted he would've killed superman without a scratch.fuck thanos and his "drop of blood" doomsday almost killed SUPERMAN without a scratch, without a gauntlet, without magic rocks.

I actually teared up when this superman died. It goes to show how important it is to establish a connection with the audience which is what batman vs superman tremendously failed to do
I prefer Marvel. But I always give respect to DC. They make some really good animated movies. They can tell the same story, and still make it seem fresh and original; while also adding in new things.
@Nico Zandvliet Batman's cape actually serves a purpose. It acts like a glider when needed. It's also flame resistant and cut resistant. Before you go off and say that it's still "not a good idea", he equipped his with a quick-release system in case he had to detach it for any reason.
well Superman and Batman have used their capes to shield people from blast before so idk maybe a cape that can be released if pulled hard enough would be a good idea kinda like a lizards tail

At least he couldve stabbed me in the chest!" *"At least he died right"* "yup" *Every single villain having a party as the super heros talk about their fighting*
indeed. in the past, Marvel made animated feature movies, probably to compete with DC, but the problem they had was that their movies were too mature for kids, but at the same time not mature enough for adults. they just couldn’t get the balance right so eventually, they gave up. but who knows, maybe one day Marvel will get back to the animated movie business and this time find a way to get it right
I think what got me really teared up was Batman opening his eyes and opening his fist to realise "He's not getting back up is he?" Really hurts knowing what he's lost
He usually keeps his eyes looking "sharp" but then realized that his friend was gone. That's when he loses his composure. F***ing BATMAN lost his composure.
And they say Doomsday has limited intelligence. He could've easily killed Lois if he wanted. He wanted Supes to see him kill her in front of him. Big mistake.
Batman purposefully distances himself and only really gets upset when he looses a member of his family. Clark definitely qualifies as that, and he's lost another person
Nah it's something much much greater than your average "love power" that moment when he kills doomsday with his last strength actually holds a whole story behind it.
@@joshuaromero7075 In your average action anime scene we see the hero gets fucked and when someone they care about hurt in a way they get this "love bullshit boost" and destroy the villain which has become pretty cliche and pretty predictable and a major asspull. In here, Superman doesn't do that entirely, Superman is different in a way. You see, Superman was afraid of his powers that's why he put many mental layers to prevent him to access his real power. Living with these layers for so long he forgot he even is way stronger than he is because he's fighting very weak enemies, that's why he was getting fucked, that's why when that scene happened it wasn't a "love boost" it was just his powers finally starting to come out shattering these layers down even though the last thing he wanted to do is to do what you saw.

Thats how it is in a lot of anime too lol.
It was basically Superman thinking," F*** it all, I've had enough of showing mercy to this creature, it's either him or Lois !!! "

I actually teared up when this superman died. It goes to show how important it is to establish a connection with the audience which is what batman vs superman tremendously failed to do
El nunca muere
I’m more of a marvel guy. But I really think these animated DC films are great with scenes like this.
Same TBH it would be cool if they pinned doomsday vs hulk or weapon h I'd love that
Man your comment is speaking to me right now I'm more of a marvel fan too and I also agree with the last part of your comment.
Marvel nailed live action dc nailed animated
I prefer Marvel. But I always give respect to DC. They make some really good animated movies. They can tell the same story, and still make it seem fresh and original; while also adding in new things.
@@hendrixjr659 true. Even a Marvel guy my she looks Fe but man does DC knows how to make great animations, Batman beyond, jl unlimited, and these.
This entire fight screams "NO CAPES."
Edina is horrified by that
🤣🤣🤣
You should've seen what Suprrman did to Doomsday damn. 2:43
@Nico Zandvliet idk she might accept dr. Strange considering his Cape is more than just a regular cape
@Nico Zandvliet
Batman's cape actually serves a purpose. It acts like a glider when needed. It's also flame resistant and cut resistant. Before you go off and say that it's still "not a good idea", he equipped his with a quick-release system in case he had to detach it for any reason.
You know that Superman's death was a hard hit, when Batman has emotion
It is. Superman's not my cup of tea but here I'm saying that the world needs him too. So apparently, I have the same reaction as Batman's.
Superman needs to block more. Some of those hits could have been avoidable.
@@madero-jb5riit's hard to learn defense when you are defense yourself
Loss isn’t an easy thing for batman
Both are pretty much bests friend and brothers so of course Batman losing Superman would hit him hard
But when Clark dies, you can literally see all the fight and anger in Batman just disappear. 😭😭
Doomsday: Superman just broke my neck!
Zod: Join the club.
My guy
First time huh
😄😄
Bruh doomsday wouldn't stand a chance if Alfred with his shotgun battled doomsday
😂😂😂😂so hilarious
Lois lane: I got your note, and I love you too
Superman: I’m about to end this mans whole career
😂😂😂
Underrated comment
But you realize, he ended your life in a split second
@Max F. lol You damn right! 💪🏾
Whaat
1:20 Doomsday demonstrates why capes - though stylish - are really nothing but a liability in a fist fight...
reminds me of the villian from Incredibles when he was sucked into the jet engine
its good for inspiring people as a hero or like Batman it can intimidate, there is communication in design
Cape for Batman is Generally used for gliding am I right
Edna mode: NO Capes
well Superman and Batman have used their capes to shield people from blast before so idk maybe a cape that can be released if pulled hard enough would be a good idea kinda like a lizards tail
Its crazy how much of an impact his death had on everyone but when batman realizes that he actually isnt getting up i aint gon lie it messed me all up
Man Metropolis has probably got the most expensive insurance on the planet with how often half the city gets levelled.
Ikr. Joker once blew up the whole city and killed 5 million people. The insurance company must be bankrupt
I think lex Luther and Bruce Wayne pays for a lot of damage or something or maybe flash fixes it cuz he fast
Yeah but that version of superman then killed the joker and lex luthor helped rebuild the city.
“So here Doomsday was, in a crater beating Superman to death. I was getting closer. Closer.”
“... And?”
“I threw a rock at him!”
*disappointed expressions*
“It was a _big_ rock.”
That's a helluva call back. Love it
This is one of the best references ever
"so here i was about to beat the ass out of supermans wife, but superman comes with a rock and theows it at me!"
*"and"*
"he beat me with it"
*"well thats sounds ridiculously lame"*
"Ikr!! At least he couldve stabbed me in the chest!"
*"At least he died right"*
"yup"
*Every single villain having a party as the super heros talk about their fighting*
LOL we got to make this a meme 🤣🤣😂😂
Ahhh, Batman The Animated Series...classic
Lois: *throws rock at Doomsday*
Jimmy: "alright ima head out"
You nearly made me choke on a sausage roll laughing at this!
Jimmy is the only one with some common sense.
Jimmy.. soooooo I’ll see you tomorrow then..
Jimmy: "Girl ,bye”.
Jimmy: aight this ain't worth the money
No matter how many time I see this, I always end up crying
Louis Lane: *throws a rock to the guy who defeated the entire justice league*
Doomsday: "am I a joke to you?"
Rodimus Supreme lmao
God level character
Rodimus Supreme come down
It worked on Goku tho
Dc is the king of animated movies.
Marvel is the king of live adaptations.
True
Then again Marvel doesn't really do animated movies anymore and we all wish DC live adaptations were better.
And when they try to do the opposite marvel animation and DC movies, they don't always work
@@adambump5297 Yeah :/
indeed. in the past, Marvel made animated feature movies, probably to compete with DC, but the problem they had was that their movies were too mature for kids, but at the same time not mature enough for adults. they just couldn’t get the balance right so eventually, they gave up. but who knows, maybe one day Marvel will get back to the animated movie business and this time find a way to get it right
He's not the Superman fans needed, it's the Superman fans deserve
Fernando Gallegos I’m very happy with Snyders superman he is the best version
Dark night reference lol
You mean 'Dead'?
True and I get the reference
@@MYSTICKNIGHT23 Nah.
Honestly, best superman film we've gotten in a long time. My favorite right next to Superman vs The Elite.
I think what got me really teared up was Batman opening his eyes and opening his fist to realise "He's not getting back up is he?"
Really hurts knowing what he's lost
He usually keeps his eyes looking "sharp" but then realized that his friend was gone. That's when he loses his composure. F***ing BATMAN lost his composure.
@@TheFirstCurse1 idiot Superman got everyone killed
And they say Doomsday has limited intelligence. He could've easily killed Lois if he wanted. He wanted Supes to see him kill her in front of him. Big mistake.
I watched till the end. You know what I saw at the end? A Red Robin add. Disturbed the mood
Batman purposefully distances himself and only really gets upset when he looses a member of his family. Clark definitely qualifies as that, and he's lost another person
Superman literally got the "Love Power" boost from animes haha
Nah it's something much much greater than your average "love power" that moment when he kills doomsday with his last strength actually holds a whole story behind it.
Superman just believed in the heart of the cards
@@newstart229 whats the story
More like... "nakama power"
Can we talk about Lois for a sec because she has got some *balls.* Supes looked like he was beaten, no guarantee of saving Lois if she stepped in like she did, and she did it anyway. Heroic.
Underrated comment and topic
ij137 agreed
its a fictional animated film.
Ride or die chick there with you to the end 💪😂
@Cpt Dinosaur omg lmao
Lois throws a rock
Doomsday: "better evolve some claws for this one..."

He's growing something to pierce lois' plot armour.
That sounded better in my head...
@@Grandflea02 i see what you did there 😏

When your animated movies are so good that your real adaptations could have never reached that level
