Man, I never saw this cartoon, but I remember buying/reading the comics back in '93. We, guys at comics shop and the owner, talked about which one we thought was the real Superman. Owner thought it was Superboy, I thought it was eradicator, and one of the guys actually thought it was Steel. We told him that Steel was the only one it COULDN'T be, as Steel had already been revealed to be John Henry Irons, a weapons engineer. Although, I heard later that Lois Lane thought he might have Superman's soul inside him or something. Funny seeing this animation or part of the movie or whatever knowing the cyborg Superman was the actual evil one of the bunch. This really takes me back. I started reading comics because my dad decided to buy The Death of Superman comic. I read his copy and decided to start buying Superman comics to see if/how he was coming back, and from there spread out into Marvel and other stuff.
@@Kayriel Yeah, sounds right, not sure. I think Hal Jordan finally ended up killing him, but knowing how comics work, he probably wasn't REALLY/permanently dead.
This is actually really cool as it shows different perception of what it means to be a hero in each of them. I'm surprised Louis would bother to save Lex given he just used someone as a human shield, it make more sense to stay far away from him as possible as the eradicator was only targeting him.
At 2:15, that is absolute pin-point accuracy. You'd think that hammer had a heat sensor or something. Like, Damn. And then the line from Steel: "By all means, go to town Superboy." Wow. 😂😂
Not even a minute into the video and I have to stop and ask Lois: "Why the HELL are you hiding NEXT TO the man who literally JUST used someone as a HUMAN SHIELD?!"
You know it’s kinda stupid and subtle but weirdly you can tell Cyborg Superman isn’t legit because Superman ever rarely uses his heat vision directly on someone (except those who have pushed Clark to the limit)
Okay. Is this gonna be a thing now? Where Lex somehow sacrifices and kills Mercy. It happened in BvS and now here here too?! I kinda feel bad for Mercy. :/

Clever detail, Eradicator never claims to be Superman. He always talks about him in the third person. "Surrender Luthor to Superman." "There is only one Superman." That's because in this version (spoilers) the Eradicator was an agent of Superman, he's his servant. He never meant to impersonate him. In the comics, on the other hand, he's a delusional Kryptonian program. He actually thought he WAS Superman, and was prone to violence when it was implied he wasn't.

I think we can all agree. Whoever wrote this long story based universe should be in charge of the next live action story writing.
Yeahh I miss when movies have more plot than jokes.
This universe was good but they threw it away for the "tomorrowverse" or whatever it's called, which has good movies but so far has been very incoherent.
It was all pretty good until they soiled their pants at the ending with the absolutely terrible Apokolips War movie

@@BlackHeart1216 Well, yeah Superboy has the potential, but I was speaking about at that time when Superman was dead, and back then Superboy was an arrogant little Shit.
@@Marcieishereandqueer True, but I think that was largely because Eradicator wasn't really trying to hurt him, just subdue him.
It was Shaq!!
Ah, Cyborg. Hank Henshaw, wasn't it? I have the Superman/Doomsday Predator/Prey where Cyborg was basically a footnote in.
@@Kayriel Yeah, sounds right, not sure. I think Hal Jordan finally ended up killing him, but knowing how comics work, he probably wasn't REALLY/permanently dead.
cartoon??😕😕
This is actually really cool as it shows different perception of what it means to be a hero in each of them.
The "antagonist" here is trying to slay evil, while the boy is most interested in saving others, then there's the cyborg who's fighting for the law while the robot is just trying to end the conflict.

An interesting line in hindsight considering who Cyborg Supes is, as Eradicator isn't referring to itself as Superman
neither is steel
I'm surprised Louis would bother to save Lex given he just used someone as a human shield, it make more sense to stay far away from him as possible as the eradicator was only targeting him.
Lois is a good person. For better or worst. She might not have the Superman's powers but she sure is brave. And at least some of his morality.
Right, imagine he uses lois as a shield. He's a monster

Clever detail, Eradicator never claims to be Superman. He always talks about him in the third person.

That's because in this version (spoilers) the Eradicator was an agent of Superman, he's his servant. He never meant to impersonate him.
