Hi John, good testing. Makes me wish I had a LabRadar. Your results pretty much mirror mine, though I have noticed more drop at 80 with 6deg offset than I'd have expected based on weight. Granted, I was testing with 3d printed fletching which likely has a higher drag coefficient. Another interesting thing I found, is that penetration on the target decreases with greater rotation with broadheads, up to 15% with a 6deg LH vs a 1deg RH at 20 yards in a quick test. But of course stability and flight trump that minor loss IMO.
Great work! I appreciate the data as opposed to theory. I would be interested to also see how much speed a heavy arrow 550 plus loses versus a mid weight 450 grain. Great video!
