This is not the latest Apple iPad, but it is faster than I thought. It has a great screen and it holds a charge pretty well th-cam.com/users/postUgkxhcEDB3r-OJ3_X5hQzr7k1ZofTQy1ao_U . I was concerned that it would not be powerful enough because I have several older iPads that are slow and cannot update to the latest software. But this 10th Gen has the speed and power. I do not use it for video editing, so having an M2 processor is not necessary for me. This iPad model has an A14 processor. So far so good. Glad I bought it. It helps having a larger screen compared to my Apple phone.

I bought this Ipad and Kenya 's presentation helped me out quite a bit. It seems easy enough but getting it paired was challenging until I watched Kenya's presentation. Thank You Kenya. Make sure you buy Apple pencil 1st generation, 2nd generation will not work. The pencil is a great accessory to the ipad. It keeps finger prints off screen helping to keep screen clean and it is very easy to navigate with. I have not order any software as of yet to use for creating drawings but even using it for the basics is very comfortable.

Does the pencil work on the home screen, like does it click to open apps or click on items in safari? I just received same generations and the pencil didn’t connect. Tried all the troubleshooting. The tech support told me it doesn’t work as a stylus (like I described above) and that it only works inside of apps. Not sure if I should continue troubleshooting or replacing, or just return the pencil. Thanks!
Hi! Yes the pencil does work as a stylus for me I can open apps and everything. After I plugged my pencil into the iPad everything was working fine. I hope this helps! Good luck

I think that getting the Apple Pencil 1st gen is your best bet. But if you're just using it to take notes and don't care about pressure sensitivity, then maybe try looking into the Logitech Crayon. It's cheaper! :)
