Recently, I purchased the MacBook M3 Pro with 36GB of RAM at a discounted price using my Unidays student ID. As a Windows user, I’m making the exciting shift to macOS. Although there’s a significant learning curve, I believe it will be well worth it. To ensure compatibility with licensed software, I’ve also transitioned from Adobe Photoshop to Affinity software, which offers a different approach to photo editing. Additionally, I took advantage of the Unidays student ID to access Apple’s bundle of software. For just 20,000 INR, I now have access to Final Cut Pro, Motion, Logic, and other valuable tools. I’m looking forward to exploring the Mac ecosystem and making the most of these powerful creative applications! 🍎💻✨

Even if you are going with a pro version of macbook please only go with 16gb/18gb ram. Anything below 16 gb will lag. These mac air's and 8gb pros are only for layman's use and not for professionals
Professional ones usually come with "u" or "p" battery efficient processor. And they lack graphic cards too which is must for productivity task like editing, rendering etc. Exception are there ,but they have then heating and thermal issues. I've had designer pieces and knockoffs of kislux . I ultimately prefer the knockoffs because I'm not worried about scratching it, preserving it, or someone stealing it.
Bro can you help me buying Mac book
I do have genuine leather bags from other brands kislux I get what I want without paying exorbitant designer prices. That's the point. It's not about the superficial, it's about getting what you like at a price you like.
I own 16Gb m1 macbook air in 2022. Payging extra for 16GB is worth it now I realize after 2 years. my macbook is always around 10GB ram full + 4-6GB in swap. 8GB would have made it unusable. I'm java full stack developer .
true had android development last semester and for the first time felt it slowing down but for cloud/devops its very quick
I really wanted to purchased a macbook after my realme slim book laptop just died on me after the 1.5 years of office work and didn't even started or moreover the replacement of motherboard that costs me 23K(like why would I do replace it.) and after the search I got the offer of 65K on macbook m1 but didn't purchased it I went for the updated M2 chip because it has new gen display and better webcam..
happily to work on mac in my office. In the begining got some hinges to work on it but after the 1 month of working on it I really liking more and more of this Macbook..
"I'm still a fan of opensource projects like dualbooting my windows laptop with linux."
I have a base m1 air. Has been a year since I got it. I'm a developer and a heavy user, and this laptop is still powerful enough. I love the shape and weight and build quality
Is 8gb ram M1 good for programming and editing stuffs?and dont you think 13 inch display in mac is kinda less than 16 inch display in asus vivobook?
I am a video editor and I used M1 air with 16GB ram, I have edited movies on it, 3 feature films and some 4-5 TV shows and may be 20-25 short films. Many of them shot on red cameras in 6K-8K and still the MacBook keeps up like a champ. I know the M3, M3 max etc would be faster but a feature films anyways take hours to export so what is the difference between 3hrs and 5 hrs
Bro, is 8gb not enough? Planning to get macbook air m2 with 8gb ram. I'm an aspiring video editor too
@@vidithissaria if you are an "aspiring" editor get the M2 with 8GB ram, it should work for a long while and if sometime down the line you start feeling it is not working well enough, well by then you'll have got enough well paying clients that you'll be able to afford a new MacBook
I purchased a MacBook M1 last year in March 2023,
Till date it's working super fast without any lag and its seamlessly easy to share my file using air drop for my iphone 13 Pro Max
Using 2017 macbook air top varient it work like a charm
For a long time, as the price of Chanel increased, I no longer thought I could afford it. I think I'll be happy that I have the kislux as my travel bag that I don't have to take care of. By the way, I'm sure no one will have a hard time telling the difference. Thanks for the comparison.
Bro I'm thinking of getting a MacBook Air M1 in July 2024.... everything is sorted I will compromise on 8gb ram but the 2-3 years update thing you said it got me in a dilemma I have Googled about the updates in MacBook's and still 2013 or later are getting the updates so please if I'm wrong correct me and clarify the following
I know one person who has a MacBook from 2017 and it still gets updates
It will give updates till 2027 then 2 years security updates or maybe if device is capable then they can give more updates
been using m1 air since 2021, absolutely amazing machine. For new buyers i would suggest dont go for brand new, buy second hand one in good condition for 40k or similar price
Got this is in December 2020 and I have used it every single day since then even though I upgraded to m2 macbook pro 16 inch last year I still love the air because of it’s form factor
Bro i want to buy this laptop for graphic design work . Should I buy This? Kya ye sahi rahega??
Did u used any keyboard cover with it?
@@soumyaranjannath1711 Nhi brother you should get a windows laptop with a dedicated GPU woh better rhega agar aapko heavy graphic rendering karni hai toh
@@priyanshuanand4698 No I have been using it as it is straight out of the box
The Ram situation is not at all bad for regular non-video editing workflows. 8gb works like butter for the most part.
Bro please cover a think and light windows laptop, comparable to macbook in performance and battery. I'm going to install linux on it anyway.
I Don't think anyone should buy it because the best laptop under 60k is acer Swift go 14 OLED it has i513500h , OLED , aluminum build , Evo certified, better battery and larger Display
Macbook is far better than that
Its the worst laptop with so much heating issue that we can't even use it while charging because it becomes so so hot..... 😂

Pro tip: for MacBooks Battery and Keyboard is a single part. So in both cases you will get a same part replaced. So even if you have a problem with the keyboard just go for the battery replacement, it's cheaper.
is it better to buy macbook air m2 or m3 right now, or should we wait for a new upgrade to get previous ones a bit cheaper? also does ms office(excel, word, ppt) work fine and do we need a subscription for ms office?
If you are content creator, go for something in the lines of an M2 pro. Otherwise for everything else, M2 air is good. the difference between M2 and M3 is justified by your intent of use
For ML Related tasks atleast get 16GB or more RAM, MacBook Air Not recommended as it throttle too much during the Model Training part.., MacBook Pro is the Way to go if one has to do AI ML tasks, or otherwise look for some Windows Laptop with good GPU
Saying after using Both the Mac Air 8 GB and currently using MacBook Pro M3 Pro 18C GPU 36GB Ram

wtf am i even watching this? 🤣
as a secondary PC bought M1 air used got 45k. a good deal considering that new with box costs 58k minimum and compromise is just 12% battery life. For lite browsing, video streaming and photo transfer a nice laptop.
Talking about color accuracy while watching a black and white video 😂
I also have m1 Macbook air. Battery life & performance is amazing. Plus if you have an iPhone, apple watch, iPad. The seamless integration is like magic❤

As a developer I like to suggest switch to Linux asap to all computer science students, devops or any Computer Engineers across because Linux is everywhere and all servers lies within, and most importantly morden Linux is more user-friendly like never before.

i once saw my colleague's macbook air m1 using 26gb of swap storage
but his laptop was working pretty fine
It works fine until all that swaping will shorten the lifespan of SSD and kill it eventually.
The ssd will likely die in few years if swap files are that huge. Great laptop turned into e waste.
Yeah that ssd is not repairable

As a digital marketer, I constantly work with multiple clients and platforms like Ads, Landing Pages, and Figma, which means I often have 3 browsers open with around 9 tabs each. But this M1 MacBook has been a total game-changer-it handles everything effortlessly without breaking a sweat. An absolute beast!"

Yes the color of the kislux is beautiful and it is a great decision, maybe one day they will add feet and straps. It would be nice to have a bigger bag during the colder months when we have to store gloves, beanies, scarves, etc…

Bro, I got this in 2020 ( as soon as it launched) and since then I am typing almost 9.5 hours in a day (typing speed 104) and not a single issue in the keyboard, even the colour from the keys is gone and the keys are looks like made by nothing (transparent) but no such issue. How much more hardly a person can use it.

Zudio supremacy 😂
I personally want to disagree about the cons you mentioned here and feel as if they are just excuses. I mean when you buy a 60k windows laptop do you expect to use it for 10 yrs ? The battery of M1 is insane and can easily last more than 5 yrs, Also even with worst of uses the keyboard will definitely last more than 5 yrs. So if you are getting it for less than 65k and want a sturdy laptop which can last you long , there is no better deal.
Phones under 25k have 256😂 storage..256 in a laptop is ridiculous
Apple is such a greedy company. I had Macbook Air 2015 with 128gb storage. Yes it was not enough, but I got by using external SSD. That 2015 base model macbook had 8GB ram and it was enough for its time. Its 2024 and Apple still sells 8GB ram which is simply not enough now. Such a rip off company. Now I stay away from Apple products.
@@Mr_Pussi and the e wall garden they build is ridiculous. Inspite of having USB 3 port, iPhone 15 PRO is transferring files in USB 2 speed to windows laptops via itunes app which is the only way for file transfer between iPhone and windows laptops, 🥲
Yeah. 16/512 should be base model in 2024
Probably the one of the best VFM laptops but still not gonna recommend to anyone who likes tinkering around, especially with VMs or appliances that uses x86 architecture. As an infrastructure or devops engineer, there are times when I wanna test something out locally within a VM and the whole arm to x86 emulation for it causes a lot of headache. Great for developers who follow the remote/cloud development philosophy or if your apps/services are ported for arm! Not great if you wanna learn industry relevant tech stack.
I am using 3 versions of macbook air. M1, M2 and ,M3 due to work, let me tell you M1 is good for web dev, Android and iOS dev, but it has one caviar storage and Ram, but don't be discouraged you can build million dollar app from m1 , so no issue. If you are ML dev look for something else, lastly don't buy this m1 or m2 or m3 if it is your long term investment wait until m4 launches, just because the TOPS is way higher in that.
I think it's our choice as a viewer to decide if we want to watch their content or not. They also need money like everyone else does, what's bad in collaborating with Brands. We as a user should consider 2-3 opinions before making a purchase decision.
Beware that the ram and ssd are soldered. So if your ssd/ram dies, be prepared for a very heavy cost.
nobody talks about the pain of engineers, they can't grab a mac as long as that's their only machine.
The only reason why I didn’t go for MacBook is that repair costs are high compared to windows
Bro is the one finally pointed out the repair costs of the macbook, i mean it should be considered even though the product is cheap

I'm rocking this MacBook from 2020 still pretty happy with the performance and the overall experience!
Frontend Developer perspective: Purchase this particular M1 machine if you wish only to watch content. I have used it for dev work and it lags like anything, you will get a much better 16 gb ram windows laptop at this price. Even if you are going with a pro version of macbook please only go with 16gb/18gb ram. Anything below 16 gb will lag. These mac air's and 8gb pros are only for layman's use and not for professionals
3:38 ya...colour accuracy too good than the windows one❤....really liked it❤❤
Biggest pro of macbook is their performance on battery.
Windows laptop requires to be plugged in for best performance
that's for gamming pcs, professional ones are not like that bro.
Professional ones usually come with "u" or "p" battery efficient processor.
And they lack graphic cards too which is must for productivity task like editing, rendering etc.
Exception are there ,but they have then heating and thermal issues.
That said , if you want full out of windows , you need a gaming laptop.
Thin laptop is suitable only for buisness work like excel and light coding stuff
My mom bought one kislux and she loves it. It had been there for over 10 years when she went out with it.

I'm looking to buy a new macbook and have decided on m2 air 16/512 GB which will cost me around 1.33 lakhs
8GB RAM is too little and there are performance issues with the 256GB variant (due to single NAND), so I have no choice but to splurge a little
Let me know what you think!

I have MacBook air M1 (2021) and a few days back, out of nowhere my macbook's screen colours start to do weird things, sometimes it's to dark sometimes too light (contrast wise. I visited apple service centre they charged me 3000 INR just to tell me that its entire display needed to be replaced. till date I have handled my Mac with utmost care........after searching a Bit on google I came to know that this has happened with a lot of people, its known a s flexgate issue. Experts say after 2015 apple start to use very inferior quality display cables.
