Nhl hockey today - The nhl news this offseason sparked this topic heading into the 2024 - 25 season as I wanted to make this before some of them may be announced at training camp in september. Personally, I think Kucherov should be the Lightning captain.
He was a Hart trophy candidate this last season and literally carried Tampa Bay, so in a way he earned the C on his jersey after all that.

Dahlin is definitely my pick too, Tuch is easy, but I wouldn't put that pressure on him more than an A. He has a voice but Dahlin has shown in practices and on the ice that he leads by example for years and will do what it takes to get this team going

I'm not sure if this will affect the decision, but I feel like the public drama with Keller's dad and the Coyotes may leave a sour taste for the management group and the (now Utah) brass would go with your choice, Crouse.

​@@jazefgcm6534 I think the assumption is that they would keep 4 alternates, so the A that Ebs has now would go to McCann. I agree about Dunner but I guess that doesn't seem like a super popular opinion amongst people I've talked to.
