Thank you for such a complete and pleasant overview of the newer version of software. I hadn't been in XCS for a very long time and was a bit lost last night when I was trying to make something. This helps so much.
Thank you so much for providing this updated video. I am just getting started and have been watching older tutorials done by other you tubers and I thought something was wrong with my xcs page. I am going to watch this a few more times. Do you have any other tutorials that would help with metal jewelry making such as speed time etc. Thanks again!
Hey, glad it was helpful! There are not many new XCS videos out there! I don't have any current videos on metal or jewelry making, however there is a speed/power guide that may help on the top right of XCS called "User-Defined Material". See if that helps...
Only got my engraver a couple of days ago, but I'm familiar with a lot of drawing tools etc, so this was at a perfect level for me. As a few others have mentioned, the music is a little distracting and the volume of it would benefit from being slightly lower. Thank you for this.
Thanks for a great tutorial! My top feature bar looks different from yours, it starts out the same with measurements and alignment options... then I have Edit, Edit Compound, Release Compound... that's all that shows... then I have the Outline feature. I just did an update today so I know I have the latest version. I wonder if there is a customizable option for the top area that i need to adjust? Any thoughts or ideas?
Hmmm that’s odd, I’m not sure what would cause that, but those may be options for different engravers. I have the D1 Pro, and it’s one of the simple ones (without a camera). Other engravers like the M1 have cameras and different functions.
Make sure that the setting on XCS is set to Rotary or Chuck, rather than Flat surface. Also, make sure that the rotary is plugged into your engraver. I have had that problem in the past.
After the recent update, when engraving tumblers, the engraving is not consistent and is lighter at the ends and taller letters though the tumbler is leveled. Do you know how I can fix that? It was working fine before the update. Xtool D1 pro 20 w! Thank you so much in advance.
Here’s a few things I would try: Try updating your engraver to ensure that it’s up to date with the newest XCS. Make sure that the rotary attachment is properly plugged into your engraver. Make sure your rotary tool is screwed tight (sometimes the screws come loose).

You're very welcome!

thanks for the video. 1 suggestion would be to lower the volume of the music. it is distracting and makes it harder to hear you clearly.
Thanks for the tip!
A lot of TH-camrs seem to be adding music it’s so irritating
The music was distracting.

xcs dosen`t work today. It will not open of any of my pc. Anyone know whats wrong?
I’ve had that problem a time or two. Give it a few hours. Then if it doesn’t work, I would delete and redownload the software.
@@tarheelengraving Thanks man.
Enjoying your tutorial. 😊 Your music is too loud and distracts from you talking.
Noted, thanks for watching!
I enjoyed your tutorial but please stop the music. It is very distracting.
I’ve heard, thanks!
