As someone said-He is a national treasure. So sweet…humble & reminds me of a kind hearted Jimmy Stewart ❤I saw he passed in November …RIP

my dad had a book of his stuff in the 80's I think and the single white pages of one shot gags were so organic and fun and wacky and silly..and perfect.. not rushed or over thought. Just ..there..relaxed.. beyond perfection.

one of my favorite cartoonists. Think Good Thoughts About a Pussycat, Rehearsal's Off, and his hundreds of New Yorker cartoons have made me laugh over and over. I put him up there with B. Kliban, Watterson, Trudeau, Larson. If you have dogs, cats or kids (or have ever been married), he's done a cartoon for you. Look him up if you don't know his stuff. I am nowhere near NYC or I would go to that show of his work, it would be nice if someone could film it.

George Booth and Mel Brooks should do a collaboration together!
Edit: I just found out Mr. Booth has passed. Such a shame.

Why are cartoonists always so old? Is it how long it takes to make it?

He wasn't always so old. I met him when I was 8 and I think he was still in his late 40's then.
