This is the best interview with Cher I think I've ever seen! Even though it was concentrated primarily on one specific topic and I've seen dozens upon dozens of interviews over the past 40 years with her, she seems the most relaxed and the most comfortable. And it's just about the best job that ANY interviewer has ever done with her. They have a great and seemingly unrehearsed banter that feels free and in the moment. She actually seems like shes enjoying it. Like catching up with an old friend. This is the way you do it!

Cher (unknowingly) got me fired. In the 1980s, was the first woman to run a press room backstage at the Academy Awards. I ran the photographers room (otherwise known as "the Animal Room." All was going well. Then came the 1985 Award show. Don Ameche won Best Supporting Actor and the Oscar was presented to him by none other than Cher - in THAT OUTFIT. They came backstage and the Animal Room went wild trying to get photos of Cher - but not Mr. Ameche whom they practically booed out of the room. He was furious. I tried to calm the situation from the beginning but Cher was amazing in that Bob Mackie outfit and she was Cher. Well, they (the Academy) couldn't blame Cher. Sooooo. I really didn't mind, however, as I was starting to have real problems with all the flashing lights from the cameras. And, of course, who can hold anything against a fabulous being like Cher. Or, for that matter, against an aging Hollywood's Golden Age star like Don Ameche. It was supposed to be his night and ..... I'm in my 80s now and it's a fun memory on which to look back.

In my daydreams I’m always living in mid-60’s to mid-70’s, when pop & rock music took top priority above most everything else in my life. Sonny & Cher came along around the peak of it, & are forever engraved in my memories of some of the best, most innocent times of my life. I hope we never lose her or her beautiful contralto, but it’s going to happen sometime, hopefully, far into the future. Considering she’s had to deal with a lot of losses in her life, more than I think I’ve had, she’s doing great. I honestly don’t care if she’s had plastic surgery; a little, or a lot, it doesn’t matter. She’s still Cher. She is as good an actor as she’s been a singer, too.

Great interview! I totally feel for her. You can tell how much she was really in love with Sonny, and probably a part of her did till the day he passed away. Their show was such a huge part of our tv family time every week. I wish that there was a tv channel that still showed it and others like it from those times gone by. I'm thankful that Cher "grew into her own" and was able to have such a great success.

Great interview! I always loved them, I always have loved Cher. She is so honest and down to earth. It’s hard when you know you are no longer loved by your life partner. She rose above it all.

Cher-as ever, refreshingly blunt and honest, bright and sharp witted, and funny as hell.

Cher has lived a amazing life. i've waited for her book along time. I remember seeing her, and Sonny when I was 13 yrs old. She is one the greatest humans that inspires many.
Val Kilmer once said; Cher leaves a powerful impression on my heart, I will always have her in my heart. i feel the same way about this socially concious, talented women of our time. .

She’s so sweet, and also grand in her ability to raise above failures of others. It’s not just the talent alone, it’s the strength of her character that “made her” and what makes people look up to her ❤ She’s not flawless but she’s big enough to own it up.

She’s such a forgiving person and loving. I have a ex-husband who I’m trying to forgive and it’s very difficult. She’s definitely had a hard life. She made it through the muck. I hope she’s happy.🙏🦋
