Amazing build turtle been using this one for a while now. The only thing i add is power user for times when electric absorption isn't being used like earl. More shots before having to recharge core. Only carry like 10 cores because of this.

I'm running a build just like this, except I'm using Herbivore instead of Carnivore and I've replaced Electric Absorption with even more Special points. Q rails are nice, but my heart lies with the Plasma Caster, especially when it has the Army Issue paint.
Remember in fallout one end game and a random encounter popped up when you were in power armor with the modded plasma caster to fire for 2ap's per shot, with 10 aps per turn, just melting 5 of the enemies to goo before the rest get a chance to move? This build is like that.
Out of power armor is how I do the scorched public event. Can solo it or steal all kills using plasma caster with unyielding. Only run 3 perception to max concentrated fire. Gun fu is a must have.
This is a nice build! Centered around heavy guns. Guns like the Gatling gun and plasma caster are pretty much the best in terms of efficiency, but you're able to apply automatic heavies as well. Just imagine if VATS were able to be paused like in the old games. Day 5 of thanking Turtle for all the knowledge and content of Fallout 76! Keep it up in the Wastes! 🐢
I wonder how explosive heavies like fat men, auto nades, etc could affect or change the build. I know the fat man can usually already one shot but it’d be funny
@@LowKeyBrit36 It's these types of mutations that push or force people to change tactics. I like it! It brings more to the table instead of the usual mutations (which of course aren't bad, but you know how to counter them) Good luck out there in Appalachia
The plasma caster is most of the time a one shoot kill on vats that's why I'm loving this gut since f1 but it's not a weapon for everyone I play this on my berserk build as stealth sniper heavy and works fine.
I’m new to 76 and I have a question? With the two shot chopperhead gatling is that a regular gatling plasma that you keep rerolling the perks on or is it a name weapon you can farm please let me know
I think Tea is classed as a drink so not aligned to carnivore or herbivore. Soup is classed as food so blight probably isn’t available unless you use the serum trick like Gerard says

Great build angry turtle! Seems like Union PA is excavator 2.0? I missed the Pitt season, union power armor is a HUGE grind now right? Any way to get it without running the expedition 100x?
You get one plan a week running the pit no duplicate as far as I know so buy the power armour mod plans and any thing cheap that's to do with the pit will be faster to get the armour plan's than saving to buy them or we might get lucky and be able to get them with gold someday.
Highly slept on. Been using vats and canned coffee with my EGPs/Exe50c25v GP for some time and it's hilarious how you can permvats while melting everything

@@kenikuno1634 In his previous videos he said that two shot with crit damage can perform better than aa or bloodied (this may be the case for alien blaster with cryo mag which works like a explosive bullet and apply cryo damage twice) which i am not sure if it is the case for other energy weapons. Actually he can record a video for it to make it clear for us all. 🙂

I'm making a VATs crit build with a Plasma Caster and at the moment I'm using the Prime Capacitor but ammo really isn't an issue so I was curious what your thoughts were on using the Calibrated Capacitor instead since it boosts critical damage. Thanks in advance! Edit: I managed to roll a Vampire 50crit 25ap Caster if that helps with which capacitor to use.
Question for you: I am using your build as a base for a Full health instead... however, since the Nuka products buff back in december and now with the easier availability of those... I am now in a crossroad and I am not longer able to discern what is the best solution for Healing and Buff... So, my question is: Based on your personal experiences, which option for healing and buffing you think is best in the game? Foods/Drinks, Chems or Alcohol. Which option do you use? Do you mix them? I am trying to figure out which one could work better for my build. At this moment I use food (Agility perk card follow-tru) and alcohol [(Charisma /party boy and Happy go lucky) and Endurance cards (nuka nut)], but they end up being very heavy... I dont use chems but only keep with me 10 Formula P, Bufftats and 2 Berry, Grape and Orange mentats for specific buffs. Finally, I always keep with me 20 stimpaks, as you can use them without using the Selection Wheel but with "H" in PC... and zero radaway and radx or any other chem.However, if you want to maximize your build and use as many perk cards as possible, the game pushes you (a bit) to decide in which items you want to specialize. What is your experience? Note: I tend to focus above all on Nuka products, hence the need of Cola Nut under endurance, as they have nice buffs and healing effects. I have teas, soups, juices... I think that I have a mess under the Food & Drinks tab... and I would love to redistribute some of those charisma points to somewhere else and free myself of the Charisma Legendary perk card and use what rads instead, as it saves the need of Nuka Grape or Radway or anythig else which allows me to avoid deleting my mutations by mistake.
I knew my build would hit the lime light eventually. I have been running this for months and it is amazing. I alternate between the caster and flamer which takes care of any situation.

Nice work with the heavy vatts. Orange Mentats and lemonade are you friends here. I’m having great luck with my heavy using bloodied Plasma Caster. One-shot a lot of baddies. It’s about knowing where to aim in vatts.
Shoot... I have 5 pieces of unyielding wwr. I have SOOOOO many legendaries that it’s actually absurd. Everyday I end up over weight still and have to pop +carry weight, and now, Yao Guai pastry which is very OP imo.
Honestly loved the plasma caster I usually run it with unyielding secret service think I have 15k ultracite ammo maybe 20k for it also 😅(honestly don't remember), and sadly not best for most public events

This game sucked me back in over the weekend. Really enjoying the new season and new boss. Going to try this build tonight 😄. Haven't used PA in a few years.
Very good build I used to use the same thing but with a gatling gun and 50 cal. Last year I switched to a shredder build & I can't look back. If only legacy players can see the potential in builds like this and take the time while legacies are still present to make a proper build for when they do get removed instead of crying about it & making useless petitions to keep em in the game.
I use quad railway or fixer on bosses it's faster ttk than my BE flamer or Be1p Gp by a substantial margin when soloing queen or Earle. Only use legacy when I'm soloing an event because nobody else came to rad rumble or moonshine jamboree but if I see people at the event I go railway or fixer like I said.
The only people crying about legacies are those without them. Most people with legacies already have solid builds and understand in game mechanics. We knew how insane VATs is when paired with a heavy gun that fires quick and has a ton of ammo. 10+ legacies here (non-RMT) and multiple different non-legacy toptier godrolls. Beth could remove legacies for all I care but dont cry when bosses still get melted as fast even without legacies
great build, i am just not really a PA User. Every time i board a PA i feel like i loose my clothes. I swear i feel naked in a PA. I mean... i can´t be without my lovely +15 All SPECIALS of the unyielding effect. i have a similar build without PA and i get even higher dmg numbers (about 2000+ with a headshot crit with plasma caster) And i play herbivore because i normally have a commando build. okay, i also die faster, but who cares 😁😁 doing 800+ Crits against Earle is just sexy. (Plasma Caster) but i changed build again cause i really don´t like the heavy weapons somehow. doesn´t feel right to shoot that slow. (and yes, i think even a gatling feels slow cause of that "charging" till i can shoot.)

i got very lucky with plasma caster (two shot /replenish ap / 15 faster critical) but i literally can't get Union PA with weapon weight third star... literally spent 200+ legendary modules on it and can't get torso and right leg... i start to hate this casino like game mechanics
TBH i don't much like Plasma Caster with PA. Actually i totally don't and there is the reason: For a non-bloodied build, i guess its fine, although there is the smaller AP pool you get while in PA and the drain ofc - which to mitigate you have to forfeit other cards (i.e. damage and/or legendary cards which could be used to boost SPECIALs instead). But for a bloodied build, using PA + P.Caster is just terrible: An un-wielding armored character with Plasma Caster essentialy turns into a TRUE sniper - bar the silencer. You use full stealth (no cards due to reach 35-40 agility thus negating any need for additonal stealth boost), full agility ,perception and luck (all three stats should be 15+++) and as much STR as need to equip those DPS cards + weight reduction ones (15). Its one of my favorite builds when I want to wipe anything on the map in one - two shots. Usualy one shot. The great thing is how much damage you do against SBeasts, you can visually see huge chunks on their HPS getting chopped down. Plasma Caster is just awesome, i just dont thing it works nearly as good as a non-unwielded/bloodied Build. You lose huge amounts in Perception which makes your aim much much worse which in turn will make use of a 3star ConFire (which is good), but will eat alot more ammo and TTK per enemy. Plus your stealth is gonna be low (low Agility), which will necessitate then use of Stealth Cards. Same thing with luck. So using PA + P.Caster becomes more of a shot-medium to medium weapon while Unwielding + P.Caster is long Range all the way with extremely good to hit chance.
I'll try this one asap!!! Could think about a non PA version of this one? Or, a way to include the perk to use easily the shredder? Railway build✅ shredder build✅ Soon this one also I think!! Good job as usual
Same, that Auto-Axe build (thanks again Turtle) was an absolute legend during the 2 week event! I started a new alt right before it started, and I think I was almost lvl 90 when it finished. Now my main is my alt!
I never understand these perk cards to help boost anything i mainly use the Gatling gun and my power armor the excavator u just shoot and they die easy enough
omg, I just finished a full t-65 set looking for Bolstering.. thinking that's what a bloodied set would need....... Overeater is what everyone is looking for and I rolled that like 50 + times.......sadness
Move 3 points from Endurance to Intelligence for Power user 3. Slow that core consumption as much as possible

How are you getting a benefit from Mutfruit Tea with the Carnivore Mutation? FYI: The Blight Soup gives a 100% bonus to critical damage.
If you use the carnivore serum you will have a 1 hour window where veggie based foods still give you boosts

I got a Quad with AP gen on kill caster. Works great with max GunFu. Stay in VATS for days

prime on plasma weapons give multiplicative bonus, multiplicative always better than additive

How do you have your flamer up? I see some where they shot fire and then I see some shooting bursts?

How well does this build using PA and VATS not burn through power cores? That was always my issue using VATS and PA. I just burn through cores.

The plasma caster is a weapon best used in vats for its true potential.

you can still use it, they did slightly nerfed energy weapons since I made this build but difference is small. The build itself remains the same

For Heavy Gunner Vats I prefer a Prime Gatling Gun with Hit chance . Never run out of ammo with Daily ops.

I'm only lvl 58 and my storage is completely full of 2&3 star legendaries. The vendor and scrip limits really need to be raised.

I wouldn’t use vats plasma caster with PA cause it drains the fusion core for some odd reason, at least it does for me.
All VATS drains fusion cores if you're in PA. It's just part of the game

great build, i am just not really a PA User.
Every time i board a PA i feel like i loose my clothes. I swear i feel naked in a PA.
I mean... i can´t be without my lovely +15 All SPECIALS of the unyielding effect.
i have a similar build without PA and i get even higher dmg numbers (about 2000+ with a headshot crit with plasma caster)
And i play herbivore because i normally have a commando build.
okay, i also die faster, but who cares 😁😁
doing 800+ Crits against Earle is just sexy. (Plasma Caster)
but i changed build again cause i really don´t like the heavy weapons somehow.
doesn´t feel right to shoot that slow. (and yes, i think even a gatling feels slow cause of that "charging" till i can shoot.)

Why twoshot instead of AA or Bloodied?
currently on energy weapons two shot is multiplicative boost

i got very lucky with plasma caster (two shot /replenish ap / 15 faster critical) but i literally can't get Union PA with weapon weight third star... literally spent 200+ legendary modules on it and can't get torso and right leg... i start to hate this casino like game mechanics
Lol, rookie numbers. I spent over 1k modules on my OE Union set. The grind is a bitch, but if you keep at it you'll get it eventually

TBH i don't much like Plasma Caster with PA. Actually i totally don't and there is the reason:
For a non-bloodied build, i guess its fine, although there is the smaller AP pool you get while in PA and the drain ofc - which to mitigate you have to forfeit other cards (i.e. damage and/or legendary cards which could be used to boost SPECIALs instead).
But for a bloodied build, using PA + P.Caster is just terrible: An un-wielding armored character with Plasma Caster essentialy turns into a TRUE sniper - bar the silencer. You use full stealth (no cards due to reach 35-40 agility thus negating any need for additonal stealth boost), full agility ,perception and luck (all three stats should be 15+++) and as much STR as need to equip those DPS cards + weight reduction ones (15).
Its one of my favorite builds when I want to wipe anything on the map in one - two shots. Usualy one shot. The great thing is how much damage you do against SBeasts, you can visually see huge chunks on their HPS getting chopped down.
Plasma Caster is just awesome, i just dont thing it works nearly as good as a non-unwielded/bloodied Build. You lose huge amounts in Perception which makes your aim much much worse which in turn will make use of a 3star ConFire (which is good), but will eat alot more ammo and TTK per enemy. Plus your stealth is gonna be low (low Agility), which will necessitate then use of Stealth Cards. Same thing with luck.
So using PA + P.Caster becomes more of a shot-medium to medium weapon while Unwielding + P.Caster is long Range all the way with extremely good to hit chance.

Same, that Auto-Axe build (thanks again Turtle) was an absolute legend during the 2 week event! I started a new alt right before it started, and I think I was almost lvl 90 when it finished. Now my main is my alt!

I never understand these perk cards to help boost anything i mainly use the Gatling gun and my power armor the excavator u just shoot and they die easy enough
