@@armyowens990 With a craft setup I can make tens of thousands lol, it has one of hte largest stack amounts because it's only naturally used in the .50cal MG. I go through 10-20k rounds a day if I'm playing for more than just dailies but I also supplement it with good melee and rifles. I also don't have the greatest legendary but they're so hard to find
50 cal is very easy to craft and drain much slower than LMG lol
@@armyowens990 I always use 50 cal and fusion cores for gatling lasers.
I used nearly 15k ultracite 50. cal in a single day, i can craft more but damn, The Final Word eats so much ammo
Thanks for this. I'm a Dad and don't always have time to figure stuff out. I think I'll have success now with Ammo because of this video. I still have trouble figuring out the perk cards. They should have kept the Fallout 4 page when ranking up. It was simple to understand.

I know I'm late but give your self like 150 perk points and just get all the upgrades helps so you don't have to budget points
Perk page was nice and all, but with perk cards u are accessing perks much earlier than u were able to in Fallout4. Also u can preview the cards and decide on a different special tree if u don’t see a card U want when leveling up, just don’t select a card and hit your respective “back” button. B on Xbox, O on PS, etc.

To farm HUGE amounts of ACID, mind you this is not a very low lvl friendly way:
Go to Tangra Town and climb the huge rock in the middle. It involves a bit of a jumping puzzle. Inside, in the cave, there are crickets. Mind you, they are devils incarnate but they drop approximately 7 acid. You can get around 40-50 acid per run. Jump servers.
Second place is... Abandoned Bog town workshop. The workshop itself doesn't give acid but it has a chance of being attacked by... you've guessed it - Crickets. You can get easily over 70-100+ acid per defence event.
Always pick up all the chemicals! Abraxo Cleaners, Coolants, Batteries, anything that comes in a chemical plastic bottle. Bugs like Bloodbugs or Stingwings as well as Bloatflies also drop parts that salvage for acid. Do Campfire Tales event for those.
You have all the smelted lead, all the acid. Now, you need CLOTH for gunpowder.
Go to any park, like Camden Park or Wavy Willard's and do some community service by picking up all the hot dog, burger and pizza trays as well as Nuke-Cola cups. Also, always do Collision Course event at the Morgantown airport as it guarantees over 100 cloth in form of pre-war money.
Lastly, steel. This one is... oofy. Scrap all weapons with the Scrapper perk (the perk also gives you a lot of plastic from laser rifles, 10+ per one). Mine it from around Abandoned Mineshaft #3 in the Ash Heap and towards the Abandoned Mansion (the one that is collapsed on the ground). Steel is the toughest one to get, ironically.

@@user-lm6fn3ko7z Because you can get pretty much infinite lead by smelting it, same with iron. You use it as well for making gunpowder along with cloth.

For cloth, fast travel to Summersville and enter the first house on the right after clearing out the mirelurks. It has Tons of burnt books, stacked all over the place, inside and out. I don't think you'd need to farm cloth after just hitting that one place up, all by itself.
A place that I used for Acid is Helvetia. There's an area that has a bunch of beeswax that you can scrap into acid
That was nice, but it was limited to the event. The Bees wax is gone now. :(

At Camp McClintlock there are 2 more Military Bags on the road that leads up to the main entrance. 1 on a seat in a car and 1 laying next to a skeleton right by the car. Plus one Military Tape upstairs in the main building on a desk after you go up the stairs by the Overseer's Stash Box.
When you don’t have enough ammo to get the excavator armor
Leed location

3) Eastern Regional Penitentiary

8) Monorail Elevator (set up acid extractor, check every 30mins for 10 acid)
9) Luck Hole Mine (excavator power armor
A good place for alot of steel is Huntersville and Emmett disposal site (Run scrapper and kill everyone for a total of 400-600 steel)
Augment- u can hunt steel on any humanoid gunner on game just use scrap card to get more
Scrapper plus a full run of west tek is a also a effective way to farm steel.
West Tek would probably have greater yields than Huntersville and is also nearby so don't forget that as well.

Sup if any of you guys want a new 2022 guide on ammo just do daily ops that can give upwards of 700 ammo (not fusion cores or plasma cores.)a daily ops will give I think 10-5 plas or fusion cores but every other ammo will be in 3 digits 👍
If you've made it far enough in the story and have the keycard for entry, add Hornwright Estate Top Floor. It has a weight room (door to the right of the pool table) that I've never seen picked thru and you can scrap it upstairs from there. If you're careful, you can do it without engaging in combat - aside from some radroaches in the weight room. I added it to the lead run and it's only 2-3 caps away from The Sludge Works when fast travelling. Include any other spots you've found here.
It's also important to mention not to overlook simple cans for lead, especially those can traps in spots like inside the prison.

Just started playing this a few days ago, have to say this is amazing work, very helpful, very accurate and easy to follow. Also appreciate the way you count out the number of things you were picking up, helped me make sure I wasn't overlooking a few pieces.

For those having issues with all the monsters, try considering a stealth build. They basically have to trip over me (at level 35) before they can see me. Plenty of good guides on how to make a stealth build without needing specific legendaries, etc.
I think the key was when you said private server.
Yeah it certainly helps, and also makes Fallout 1st a lot more worth while. But i've tried these runs on public servers and had alot of success. Especially with the blood eagle camps, & lucky hole mine!
Private server ALL THE WAY. Played on public for 22 minutes and had a hacker (zero damage from a scorch beast) threaten to rape a guildy in RL...... you can keep the public servers...ill pay the 13.00 a month to avoid all the aholes.
Robert Kirkpatrick bruhhh public servers are wayyy better. The community is very nice and gave me free ammo, weapons and even a full set of excavator power armour!

I get free ammo as well from munitions depot ... which no one tries to steal while telling me in chat what they want to do to me from their moms basement and nuking my settlement out of spite for ignoring them. I’ll tell the female guildy who was threatened with rape that public servers are so nice because zox said so.

After "line in the sand" event i always go to monorail and lucky hole and then go back to Fort Defiance to scrap it all. Not too long a walk at all

Workshops are more a pain than worth it. But to each their own. Instead of 30 acid an hr. Cave crickets give 5 or more acid. Easy to get allot of acid. But a very good guide on the lead.
I do a very similar run but I hit all the cap stash locations on the way to pay for the whole trip. I'm glad to see new videos that include all the wastelanders locations. Awesome video!

jayy Xb Too true. I still don’t know how legendary modules work, haven’t built a decent camp, have at best ‘neighbourly’ with both factions and have yet to fully make my build with armour, weapons and perks. I feel like a noob as is, but when I decided to make a heavy gunner power armour build at level 70, it hurt even more when i realised i’d rather make a bloodied AR stealth build at level 110... Now i’m 140 with a half decent perk build and a barely decent AR, still with the same issues as the ones i mentioned at the start! That on top of the insane RNG based endgame, lack of people wanting to sell guns for caps rather than trade and daily limits... man i’m just a noob who has to deal with hurdles that are just as annoying as being out of ammo/water/food at level 20. In fact i’d say my hurdles are worse seen as i can’t do shit about them.

Nice! I knew there were other places for lead. I've literally gone through every site you posted, at different times in my play through, which always helped because I was in need of lead at those times. My method was to just server hop at the firestation until I filled my weight in lead, usually netting me 680-700 lead from around 20-30 hops. My biggest issue with that is it wasted my play time, so by the time I filled up on lead I'm not in the mood to play anymore. This method looks like I won't have to hop servers as much for the same amount and more.
Decent guide thanks for the heads up. I was bouncing between the hotel the prison and vault tech wondering where more lead could be. My only advice is a disclaimer about creature strength. As things now scale those were a bit harder of a fight than I was anticipating. However I am still only lvl 54 with crap marshmallow shooters.

A couple areas you miss by just focusing on weights. Can alarms have 9 cans on each string. There are 6 strings in both Pleasant Valley ski resort (along with a couple weights and loose cans) and Camden Park which has a lot of steel in the old responder area and quite a few single cans. The penitentiary also has a number of strings, but I hate going inside the buildings so I normally don't do that. I know there are a number of areas with others, but these 2 are another quick 128 lead and steel. And the silos are very easy to do if you have nuke cards - 1 turret, the level 30ish robobrain and 2-3 level 8 handies. Tons of weights in each, on the level of the firehouse.
I ran the firehouse and got 13 weights. I also found lead in some places I didn't expect...baby rattle and toys 😳...pencils and some other random stuff. I also found that sometimes wrenches give lead but not 100% of the time. Really appreciate your effort. I just started playing FO76 last week and still have a lot to learn. You're one of the few channels I allow my grandson to watch with me because I don't have to worry about language...and it's easy to follow the information. I haven't used the FO1st private server yet but will try that later today. Thanks for the video...Subscribed.
You forgot the Ammo factory Legendary card as well which increases the amount made for ammo.
Rat poison makes me very happy whenever I see it. Cans are great to pick up wherever! Charleston Fire Department is always scoured on Public Servers. Ballistic Fiber is probably the rarest scrap. Thanks for the bonus tip on Camp McClintock as I completely forgot about it!!! This is a super comprehensive video on lead gathering. I see you have switched to a Bloody build (from videos were you are medic build) and are a devotee of the Handmade Rifle. The Excavator Armor is essential In Lucky Hole Mine. Scrapper helps with steel scrap from weapons that you can easily farm. Farming Super Mutants is good for xp and gunpowder.
Great to drink too! I built my base at the middle cabin above Bolton Greens and it is a great farm for super mutants. Get occasional legendaries too!
Ski lodge also is good for Super Mutants and junk as well 👌
Been playing a year, just learned about White Knight and that my Extractor armor multiplies mining times 4... 🤦🏻♂️
The easiest way to find stuff is in the junk menu goto component view and tag what u want to find, things like abraxo cleaner does acid i think. Great vid, i think it'd be handy to have time links to each component u want to find. I'm always running out of ballistic fiber.

This video is awesome!!! When I just want lead, I fast travel to the fire station and just server hop. Chances are slim but I’ve gotten 6 servers in a row where the fire station was not touched. Got 516 lead in 5 minutes. Like I said, it’s all up to chance.

Dude....THANK YOU. I will be doing this today. I am always struggling with .50 and this will be a huge help. With legendary perk card, the ammo perk cark, and super I should be able to craft around 20k or more.
You can also obtain lead from rat poison canisters. As for ballistic fiber, there's a military ammo bag on top of Watoga high school, and one on the monorail(also in Watoga, by the high school), next to a skeleton of dressed in military garb. There's also two military bags at Drop Site V9 (one next to a skeleton and binoculars and one inside the building, on a chair in the back), a plethora of bags inside Fort Defiance, and between one and two bags at each of the sites where the event 'Surface To Air' appears. Sometimes military bags and/or ballistic fiber will appear inside suitcases, tables, etc.

Yeah with the new lvl scaling you do not wanna be over encumbered when a mob of super mutants start mowing you down with their machine guns. Other than that, really helpful video!
For acid you can travel to Mountainside Bed and Breakfast and jump down the tracks then travel north. There will spawn 2-3 yao guai that drop acid upon their death. You can take them out then server hop to get more!

The Pleasant Valley Ski Resort area (next to Top of the World) is a really good place for lead. I usually get over 100. There's 9 can chimes, 5 or 6 weights, and some tin cans (near the vendor bot).

From Monorail elevator, the closest workbench is at Big Bend Tunnel entrance. I use to clear the elevator and the mine, as well as there is a hidden workbench inside the last.

Camden Park is a quick easy place for a good amout of lead from tin can chimes. Tin can chimes gives 9 lead each.

There are often 2 batteries at the Palace of the Winding Path you can grab while you are there, and a roll of military duck tape is usually on the second floor of the Camp McClinktok main building.
Have to do this on a private server; if I tried this on a public one, with my luck, each place will be picked clean when I try to collect.

Theres also another way to get balistic fiber it does cost a bit of caps but if max out your caps for the day just buy it off the venders then just sell somthing to get those caps or some of those caps back its nice in a pinch since most vender have the fiber for sale at train stations in bulk every day etc... and its easy to max out on selling purified water etc.... u can easily get off your cap or a friends etc...
Fix It Good is good to have for repairing armor. 3 levels into the perk and you can repair armor and power armor 200%👌

Also when repairing armor invest in the “Fix It Good” perk to make the armor last longer
And anything that makes repairs cheaper based perks to give it a boost and less resource cost
Small amendment to the prison tip for lead. If you go inside the prison and even out in the prison yard over by The make shift office buildings, The solitary confinement wing and the main prison and collect all of the tin can traps. I believe that there's a little over 60 cans between all of the different traps and when you scrap those down on you get about 70 lead and a 130 steel which you need steel to make ammo anyway which is a good boon.

There is a Chemistry Station inside Lucky Hole Mine. It's a little hard to find, but if you are looking at the split path with 2 Crystal Ore in the middle, go left, the narrow path is off to the left side. Also, there is between 1-3 Buffouts if you're into chems, lol.

You sir are my hero, Been playing for 2 weeks ans was always having ammo issues. No longer.
If you pair this with the acid run video AND camp at an ACID location on the map you can do 5-7k more ammo. Additionally, make sure to use Super Duper, AMMO Smith, and Chemist when you smelt the ore for usable lead.
Something to also note, super duper when it procs only doubles the BASE value of what you craft, so it will not stack with Ammo Smith. So you get like x 36 and an extra 20. So you aren't making x 72 when it kicks in. But it still makes a CRAP TON of ammo. Great guide for finding Lead though, there were a few places I knew, but I was unaware of others. I make 5mm this way and in seconds I can make 1200+ bullets...gotta feed the hungry heavy guns.
good job on the list! Another spot you could have added is The Orchard Farm in the basement.. The have a workout setup with lead. I stop here because nobody comes here.
Good video, well written and edited, and it taught me several new places to visit. But I'm frankly skeptical that your half-hour included all the time wandering around inside Lucky Hole Mine, the navigation of which is very confusing to me: even after probably 30 mining runs, I spend a ridiculous amount of time doubling back and backtracking, and getting 275+ ore generally takes me more like an hour. (Still worth it.)
Edit: As far as I know (after spending many hours in all three places), there is indeed no scrapping station anywhere nearer to the Monorail than inside Fort Defiance or deep inside Lucky Hole. And a minor qibble (22:30ish, near the end): springs, not screws, from clipboards, but yeah Camp McC is lousy with clipboards, as is the inside of the Enclave HQ.
For anyone using minigun. i HIGHLY recomend using a gatling gun to get 5mm. with the Luck Perk card for getting 80% more ammo from containers. most enemies that wield guns, drop between 15 to 40+ 5mm per kill. saving your minigun for bosses, and gatling for trash enemies, easy ammo farm
I remember finding the Lucky Hole Mine. Went from lead shortage and picking my shots, to having almost too much lead. Though I now have an acid shortage and my levels of steel fluctuate wildly.
Fairly certain that superduper will only give you double of the base ammo crafting amount, so when it procs it's giving you for example 40 of 5.56 ammo if it's base crafting was 20 per craft, it won't give you 72 of ammo when also affected by ammosmith. Regardless it's still totally worth doing both ammosmith and superduper.
What perks are those under
I ended up stuck for 30 minutes after looting the monorail elevator lead stash because I was wandering around for a bench. And I looked around very well and can tell you there is no bench nearby… Great vid though! Super handy
If you have cleared it, Fort defiance has benches nearby.
Your build wouldn't be able to run the card, but Pack Rat 3 + a piece of armor with 20% Junk Weight Reduction bumps you up to 90% JWR. It makes fast traveling out of a place like the monorail or the silos while loaded up with weights a non-issue.
The closest workbench to the Monorail is inside a cell, and I believe the closest cell with a workbench inside is Lucky Hole Mine, so it could make sense to just walk to it after the elevator if you're planning to mine anyway. BTW, you can pull 500 ore from 1 run through the mine. Then you can server hop and pull 500 more. Then server hop and pull 500 more, indefinitely until you just can't move. Other than what I pick up from most but not all runs through the silos, all my lead either comes randomly or from Lucky Hole. Build camps on acid, supplement with killing stuff that carry acid (bears, crickets, snallygasters, and most bugs), and the limiting ingredient becomes steel. Since steel is virtually everywhere, ammo is never a problem.
Very informative. Funny you said hope you have fallout first, I don’t. I became overencomered and found myself searching the map for a close workbench, needless to say I was walking for a long time.

Another note is that as soon as your first legendary perk slot becomes available, pick and invest in the ammo manufacturing perk card, and that will further increase how much ammo you can craft. But, this is a great guide though, thanks!
