It will just give you a small standard lvl 1 backpack as you exit the vault. It was added with the Nuclear Winter update. You can also get the plan for it in the overseer's cache at Morgantown Airport.
correct. the one you get out of the vault is level 1. if you craft it at max level then it is 30 lbs. If you need the plan you can get it in the overseer's cache in the morgantown airport.
@@thetrashpanda6 Appreciate it but I already have the large backpack and I just unlocked the extra carry weight mod last night! I played at launch, never got a backpack then, tried the airport to get a plan its not there, pain in the ass! As for the tadpole quest it's about as clear as mud what you have to do!
That is a gauss rifle. The legendary effects on that one in particular are anti-armor / 50% more crit dmg / 90% reduced weight. It's a very nice gun that I was fortunate enough to roll myself.
These are all the places you can find the plan to craft the weapon: The Whitespring bunker - Sold in the military wing command center. Watoga Station - Sold by the vendor bot. Abandoned mine shaft 4 - On the back shelf in the small shed. Watoga Underground - In Silo 4, in a workstation, on a middle shelf, on a rectangular crate. Randomly awarded by events/quests in the Cranberry Bog. Dropped by deathclaws. Dropped by scorchbeasts.
As a single player why do all that its very very time consuming and there still bugs when you do complete them just get power armor the one with the extra 100 carry weight and your done
The mods arent worth the loss of carry weight in my opinion. I think they patched the energy and radiation gains with the higher capacity mod.. the backpack mods food reduction is good so you dont have to waste a perk card on it

I don't believe you are able to do that, but in all honesty, the backpack you get from there is just shy of useless as it only gives you 5 extra carry weight. I would just go ahead and do the tadpole quest to get the standard backpack instead of the small one.
If you want to get the small standard backpack plan though, you can find it in the overseer's cache at Morgantown Airport and then craft it at a higher level than the level 1 backpack you would get when you exit the vault.

@@thetrashpanda6 okay cool cause after starting out I can only break down a few legendary a day. And my stash was building up waiting for the next. I hate I can scrap one or two star to get a mod. It feels almost a waste to get a few scripts for a weapon idk. My friend told me to wait until tomorrow
Great video
Thank you!
I chose athete, codebreaker and mammalolgist for my badges, i was using a melee build
Wait I know I've been out of the loop for a while but you get them out the vault now!?!?!?!
It will just give you a small standard lvl 1 backpack as you exit the vault. It was added with the Nuclear Winter update. You can also get the plan for it in the overseer's cache at Morgantown Airport.
The small back pack only starts with 5 pounds. It increases to 30 when you upgrade its level.
correct. the one you get out of the vault is level 1. if you craft it at max level then it is 30 lbs. If you need the plan you can get it in the overseer's cache in the morgantown airport.
@@thetrashpanda6 Appreciate it but I already have the large backpack and I just unlocked the extra carry weight mod last night! Sorry if I missed it, but did you mention how people on the possum grind should do Camp Fire Tales whenever they see it? You have a shot at getting a possum badge every time you do that event. I got one or two that way and it definitely helped!
@@darthsilversith667 Yup. That is in the video. You can also get them from the daily repeatable quests "stings and things" and "operation tidy"
@@thetrashpanda6 Oh crap! Didn’t know that!
What outfit/armlr combination is that? I want a look like that.
Yea ill pass 😂🤦🏻ill just deal with the free backpack 😂
Wait we get a backpack when we leave the Vault? Is that a new thing because my older character (recently returning) doesn't have a backpack at all.
it was added in the nuclear winter update I believe. if you don't have the small standard backpack and you want it then you can get the plan for it in the overseer's cache in the morgantown airport.
@@thetrashpanda6 Thank you very much. Something is better than nothing while I work on my Tadpole badges.
@@Cerderius for sure. the nice thing about it is that you can still put on a mod and that's one of the big advantages to a backpack IMO.
I’m fairly new to 76, I noticed most players have high radiation levels. What’s the benefit to that?
It helps Soo u don't grow hands everywhere on ur body ,🤭👉😂😁
Just kidding 😃
Ive been playing for a few weeks and yesterday realized that you can craft higher level small standard backpack
I played at launch, never got a backpack then, tried the airport to get a plan its not there, pain in the ass! As for the tadpole quest it's about as clear as mud what you have to do!
What is the gun at 35 seconds that’s 1 shoot killing everything?and how do I get it
That is a gauss rifle.
So what does one do if nvr get badges i do the things but no badges
you only have a chance to earn badges from those events. the best way to ensure you earn them is by doing the world challenges
thank you bro
No problem! thank you for watching!
Grocer’s backpack mod is nice. Let’s me take something other than thru hiker.
grocer is usually my go-to as well. Love not having to use agility points on that.
I can already get backpack I didn't do the tadpole quest?
As a single player why do all that its very very time consuming and there still bugs when you do complete them just get power armor the one with the extra 100 carry weight and your done
Thank you.
The mods arent worth the loss of carry weight in my opinion. I think they patched the energy and radiation gains with the higher capacity mod.. the backpack mods food reduction is good so you dont have to waste a perk card on it
yeah, that's why i like the chemists or grocers
Screw backpacks, I just wish I could figure out the perks to get that damage...lol
God damnit 😂 here I was thinking I would eventually just find a larger backpack.
HAHA. Unfortunately no. That made me laugh.
They need to add more military backpacks skins or make large backpacks that are bigger than standard backpacks and add NVG
They do have a few skins that are more military like, but yeah, that would be pretty cool if they added a larger selection.
I have not got any backpack skins I have done many events and still have not got any drop and just reached level 50 today
@@Shadow-s5x The backpack skins come from a lot from scoreboard rewards and the atom shop. There are currently a few for sale in the atom shop like the corvega, raider pillager and settler relief backpacks. If you don't want to use atoms on them then there are a few scorboard reward ones right now like the bottle backpack around level 76 on the scoreboard. Here is the link where you can find a lot of them. fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Backpack_(Fallout_76)
Taking off your armor and jumping from the tower at the scout camp is the easiest way to get downed imo
Do I go back to vault 76 and re enter to get backpack after the update?
I don't believe you are able to do that, but in all honesty, the backpack you get from there is just shy of useless as it only gives you 5 extra carry weight. I would just go ahead and do the tadpole quest to get the standard backpack instead of the small one.
If you want to get the small standard backpack plan though, you can find it in the overseer's cache at Morgantown Airport and then craft it at a higher level than the level 1 backpack you would get when you exit the vault.
I used to play on Xbox, now I’m on pc and I just recently got the game and started playing again. Fucking forgot how annoying all the possum badges are. I’ve got 7 completed so far, and haven’t gotten a single one to drop from stings&things or the clean-up daily or campfire tales.
Hi, we can be off but others can still see it right?
How a tadpole became a possum is some sketchy evolution.
So.... In May 2024... Can I fit the chemist mod to a high capacity backpack?
I need help with getting the mods for backpack and a camera
My Xbox one username is Kitusne939
You can get a broken prosnap camera from skippy in the whitesprings resort. You'll just need to take it to a tinker's bench to repair it
I do have the chem one i don't even remember how i did get it 😅
Nice! could have been a minerva buy or you got it from mortimer at the raiders
Wish some could stack. Guess I'll go with high capacity.
How did you get the that backpack skin
I believe that was a scoreboard item
Oh I didn’t get it and I maxed out the scoreboard
What is the name of it
@@informed_zither6113 well crap. let me look real quick
Ok
I never got a backpack when leaving vault 76 lol ima assume thats new
I think it was added with the nuclear winter update. You can get the plan for the small standard backpack at the morgantown airport in the overseer's cache.
The problem, and one of the most frustrating things about 76, is I don't know anyone playing it. I hate that getting a better backpack is dependent on someone else.
Originally when the game launched you didnt have to do these challenges for the small backpack.... so i have the backpack and still have to do all the challenges to get to possum lol. so dumb.
