Amazing and informative episode as always. Can you guys talk about the possibility of getting short term rentals in the case someone wants to spend the 90 days in Italy as a tourist? I know normal rental agreements in Italy are usually quite long (relative to the US). Are those very hard to find/ prohibitively much more expensive than the usual rentals? Thanks guys!!
Thank you for your insightful videos! At the end you talk about spouses of EU citizens moving to Italy. Could you do a podcast on that topic? I am a EU citizen and my husband has been living in the EU for a long time and has a long term permit for the EU, given out by our country (NL). We are looking into moving to Italy where he will have an italian contract and I won’t work / have income in Italy. EU law seems to allow for my husband to register as living in Italy based on his marriage to me, get a tax code and work but lawyers we spoke to make it really complicated and don’t seem to know about EU law. Could you shed some light on this? Thanks for reading this and looking forward to more episodes.
I would greatly appreciate a video on the last point made by Rafael, i.e., for spouses of an EU citizen. I have many friends in this situation that have asked me about this and don’t have a clue where to begin. Grazie.
What Visa should I get if I want to learn Italian in Italy while waiting for my Citizenship by decent paperwork to be done and to make an appointment at an office in Italy because it would be much faster than the U.S.? I was thinking maybe enroll in an Italian language program.. but I also have passive income coming in from investments, so I could use that, but I would rather not spend more than 6 months there because then I need to worry about how to deal with taxes?
Thank you for your message. We are still waiting on updates form the Italian government. At this moment in time there is no information about how long it will take for the government to issue the law which will make the visa effective.
The whole freedom of movement is still not straightforward for people who wish to move to Italy even if you are a EU citizen.I looked at it once myself as a EU member myself and found the bureaucracy quite overwhelming, in typical Italian style. I love the place and it's one of my favourite places to visit but there is a document for everything & nothing is straightforward.
my great grandmother was born in Italy and held Italian citizenship, but gave birth to my grandad in Wales. My mother was then born in England, and so was I. My great grandmother still had Italian Citizenship when my grandad was born. Very confused by the whole jure sanguinis thing! Do i qualify for citizenship somehow?
Marco is very knowledgeable on immigration and real estate topics. I've enjoyed these videos immensely. I need your help, please. I am a part-time self employed remote worker with US clients. I earn $1,000-$1,500 a week working 10-15 hours. I want to move to Italy and plan to attend college to learn the language. The Italian Consulate in my area doesn't show self employment visas or student visas? How can I accomplish my move to Italy? If you could provide a solution or create a video with Marco I would be most appreciative. Thank you for your contribution! Christina

Do you think they will release the digital nomad visa regulations soon? Or should I give up hoping for it in my lifetime and just move to France?
