I haven't bought a Battlefield since 2013 (BF4), *but if this has bots-only fun (possibility to play with only bots),* then I will buy this. That's what I wanted for so long.
This is quite cool, especially for people who want to experience the large scale kinetic battles versus bots instead of PvP...wish it was domestic splitscreen on console with bots but this is still great! Good vid, earned a sub

Just played this mode and it’s really good, I suck at multiplayer but I really enjoyed this and it help out loads with learning the new maps… nice video 👍🏻👍🏻
@@theepicscot I basically used my entire 10 hour trial playing with bots. It's worth noting that bots will revive you if you request a revive. Better than most users in that regard.

@@theepicscot I got revived 3 times in the game I played about 20 minutes ago. I hold the "request" button the whole time. Don't know if that makes the difference. My only beef is that I can't get into a squad (but I can when I use portal).
Glad i clicked on this video 1st when i was searching on YT for "BF2042 single player campaigne". Now I don't need to keep searching for other channels for more info on the solo gameplay. +Subbed
I've played most of my 10 hours of trial from eaplay, only with bots, just to learn the maps. Very good, just like Battlefront 2, where you could play with bots, to learn and get better.
@@mubassirzaman7202 If you play coop ( and don't invite real players ), you play only with bots ( ai ) on both sides. Also, if you play multiplayer, if that map doesn't have 128 real players, they will compensate adding bots to have that number.

Just beware Dice and EA might nerf the BOT's on xp in solo mode. when it hits the market on the 19th, 2021 they have locked down almost all weapon unlocks and might only open them when playing PVP. I have Gold Edition or Ultimate Edition of a Battlefield 2042 preorder, early access will unlock the game on Nov. 12 they turned off all master upgrades when we only need 30 pve kills...
Very true, there was similar nerfing in Star Wars BF2. Hopefully it is only a small amount or at least maybe they could make the unlocks independent of each other so that you could have the same rate of xp in both modes.
Based on your videos, I bought the game!! I had no idea they had this. Even in COD, I only play the CoOp modes, I'm not good in multiplayer/Warzone. I love the "us against the machines team battles!! Thanks. Anyone on here need a teammate hit me up!!
If they made this split screen, my wife and I would play this a ton. She loves playing split screen against bots (heck even online) on COD. I wonder if there will ever be a way to do this.
This was a great addition to the game and I hope they include it going forward in future battlefield games. ( if we get one ) it's so nice being able to familiarize yourself with vehicles and everything else in a stress-free environment.

Im still not sure if i wanna buy this game but the fact that you can play a normal match with bots is pretty cool, i switched from console to pc a year ago and it is still really frustrating for me that i get claped so hard in every shooter i played. Of course! Glad I could be of help! If you are looking for an option to try battlefield 2042 before you buy as well. Check out EA play. They have a plan that is $5 a month and gives 10 hours of battlefield 2042 and tons of other games, or $15 which gives access to the ultimate edition and unlimited playtime of almost all of their games! I also find the bot matches helps a lot with practice for multiplayer matches and can be a great way to relax!
Actual *A. I.* bots for offline multiplayer, co-op and NPCs ought to start being implemented. Games like this will still retain their replayability long after the servers have been switched off.
The only reason am going back to playing BF is because it's the first time since BF2 they've implemented Solo playing with bots. Gawd it took them mkre than 15 years to realise

To really HAMMER in Kills, you really need to hide under something like a small lifted building. Reason why is because they won't ever spot you and you can literally kill 30 dudes for like 3 minutes!

Great question Alexander! It is more than possible! I talk about it in how to setup a server in portals, another video I posted shortly after this one. You can control how many AI are on each team and even get down to some really cool custom options as well! Let me know if this helps!

My friends and I used to play BF 1942 and then BF2 back in the day and ran our own server in coop mode and loved being able to change things like what maps were in rotation, how many bots (AI), and even how good the bots were. We would choose the same team and play together against tons of bots with only a couple on our side. Made it hard as heck but fun for us as we don't like MP servers like that for the same reasons you mentioned. We like a fun casual let's go shoot stuff up environment. I am so excited they brought some semblance of coop back to the game and I will go watch your video. If I can do similar to before for a server or session then they will have me back as a customer. :)

None of that raging and quitting cause if you died, it was a bot and its hard to get mad at something you setup (sometimes lol). Hey John! You can earn XP and level up playing with Bots. This allows you to unlock weapons within the game! However, I have noticed that the attachments only unlock via PVP kills and not Bot kills. If you are looking to farm XP and level up faster then playing multiplayer would be the best option. XP farming has been temporarily disabled on the portal servers as well so best bet is all out warfare or hazard.
Can you self host a BF2042 server and play solo offline? I really hope this game will still be playable with offline solo one day when EA games retires the game servers. That would be epic for me into the distant future lol.

Imagine how challenging bots would be once they have machine learning A.I. Alpha star level artificial intelligence, they'd be comparable or better than human pro-players. Offline multiplayer sessions and tournaments anytime one wants, none of the negatives of online.
Shooting at the enemy 5 to 6 miles away from you it’s not fun for me if this is what they are going to be doing for the next game in the next game in the next game I will not buy it
Hey Alex! Thank you so much for subscribing! As far as I know it isn’t possible to have a bot squad. I know I’ve heard rumors of people managing it but I have never been able to figure it out in portal or all out warfare. I will do more research to see if I can dig up anything.
From my understanding Alex, I just looked into it more and it leaves the players squad open for humans and then it fills all other squads with bots. Unsure as to why this is but hopefully that will change in the future! There may still be a way around it, I just haven't found it as of yet. Ill keep you updated and thank you again!
Hey Sunny! I would say so! However, for unlocking attachments to the guns you have to play multiplayer. I highly enjoy solo as it helps me practice and gain confidence for multiplayer though. Check out EA play, they give you 10 hours of the game for about 5$, that way you can see if you like it before dropping 60 on it!
A year late but I know that on orbital and the cube factory map I forgot the name of, you play as Russia. Alternatively you can set up a portal mode with ai, and set the first team as Russia to play as Russia on any map, on the website.
This is a nice off I guess off-line single player mode but it’s far from a campaign mode where you are guerrilla style combat house to house door to door building a building. You have to be far away from the enemy at all times don’t care for it
From my understanding, you so need both PS plus and an internet connection to play as even their solo game mode you have to be online for. Hope this helps!
@@RyanGulbrandsen That's good to know! I am playing on PC. I think no matter the Bot count it is still a fantastic experience either way. EDIT: Just launched into a lobby and for some reason it is limited to 32 v 32. 64 Bots in total running on PC. Maybe EA will make a custom server setup screen so we can change that in the future?
Solo battles currently seem to have plenty of action regardless of what the bot count is. As for the reduced map size in solo play, this is actually a *good* thing IMO. After playing the beta, I really wasn't looking forward to gigantic, empty maps.
Retro, I will look into this. As far as I understand it still has to run a connection to a server just as if you were playing multiplayer. However, if you would like to try it for yourself I would suggest taking and using EA play. Its 5$ for a month and they give you 10hrs of 2042 to try and lots of other games as well. Let me know if you have any other questions and ill try to do a little more research on the matter!

@@retrolightman6737 thanks for the compliment lol! Always been my favorite to play solo or co-op so I’ve had a bit of practice! The difference between the 5$ one and the 15$ is that with the 5$ one you get 10 hours of 2042 and with the 15$ you get unlimited access.
Typically in solo in all out warfare it does about 32v32 for the bots but if you are on portal doing solo I have another video that you can find on my channel that explains just that!
What if I’m playing a really niche game mode (one that I made myself in portal) and the other 3 human players don’t join, can I still play? That would suck if I had to have 3 human players bc if my friends can’t join you would be stuck in a waiting screen
Jake, great question! I hope they do add this feature in the future. But as of now, they do not have bot commands in game. However, they may implement this later on!

Currently there is no way to switch teams. They automatically put you into a team which is usually the attacker. You can absolutely level your Ka52! You can master weapons to T3 of mastery using solo and co-op!
Cool there's bots. Bots arent completely dumb. There not 2 bad just maybe could be a little harder. But yeah can't get weapon attachment unlocks. Only in PvP
Definitely would like to see the AI built out to play more like players. Maybe as gaming and computing advances, we will start to see logic in AI a lot clearer and get some more human like experiences!
I've always said that BF3 and 4 would be the perfect game if they had a solo non-campaign mode that gave experience with the multiplayer game modes. Sadly, very few games do that. Good to know 2042 has this feature. I am still skeptical of buying any AAA games because they feel like an incomplete beta test we pay premium money for. I still wanna be able to unlock stuff, but without dealing with sweaty tryhards. DICE unfucked a seriously fucked Star Wars Battlefront 2 and made it good but fucked up on Battlefield 5.
I totally agree. I appreciate solid campaigns or even small solo or co-op play because sometimes I just really want to play by myself. You can level up and unlock weapons but not the attachments, hopefully they will change that soon! SWBF2 is fantastic now and it seems to be hit or miss for their studio. Also EA play and EA play Pro allow you to play most of EAs titles for about 5$ to 15$ a month. It’s worth it if you don’t want to drop 60 on 2042!
@@theepicscot DICE should use Battlefront 2 (after they fixed it of course) as an example. Sure, XP rates would be lower, but you would still level up and gain attachments. I got all the weapon unlocks in Battlefront 2 ONLY PLAYING CO-OP. None of the multiplayer BS. I'd rather grind a co-op game, even if it takes a little longer, if it means I get to enjoy the game. I feel co-op players are heavily neglected these days.
I totally agree, would be very very cool to see a similar experience! Hopefully they stick to their guns and really polish this game like they did with SWBF2!
Im late but you do sadly need an online subscription, atleast that's what I've heard. Apparently you can't even get past the title screen without online
They do in solo and co-op until you hit T3 on the weapon mastery or gadget/specialist! This is subject to change and hopefully they will release that cap so you can do full mastery!

How do you choose what team you want? Before the game starts
Is there anyway to join a squad of bots? When I fly I can’t ever get a gunner to join me
So you can’t have them in your squad but you can land next to bots and usually they will hop in your vehicle be it land or air
I find it impossible to win a match against the AI because the AI on your team does not guard objectives at all

Hey Alex! Thank you so much for subscribing! As far as I know it isn’t possible to have a bot squad. I know I’ve heard rumors of people managing it but I have never been able to figure it out in portal or all out warfare. I will do more research to see if I can dig up anything.

From my understanding Alex, I just looked into it more and it leaves the players squad open for humans and then it fills all other squads with bots. Unsure as to why this is but hopefully that will change in the future! There may still be a way around it, I just haven't found it as of yet. Ill keep you updated and thank you again!

Hey Sunny! I would say so! However, for unlocking attachments to the guns you have to play multiplayer. I highly enjoy solo as it helps me practice and gain confidence for multiplayer though. Check out EA play, they give you 10 hours of the game for about 5$, that way you can see if you like it before dropping 60 on it!

Hey is there any way to switch your team to Russia to level up their vehicles too? Great video
A year late but I know that on orbital and the cube factory map I forgot the name of, you play as Russia.
Alternatively you can set up a portal mode with ai, and set the first team as Russia to play as Russia on any map, on the website.
This is a nice off I guess off-line single player mode but it’s far from a campaign mode where you are guerrilla style combat house to house door to door building a building. You have to be far away from the enemy at all times don’t care for it
If battlefield would’ve left out single player mode or campaign mode they would’ve lost a lot of money I’m glad they didn’t

You can unlock everything by play solo yes. That is what I do with all my guns

From my understanding, you so need both PS plus and an internet connection to play as even their solo game mode you have to be online for. Hope this helps!

That is unfortunate. Hopefully as they add things to the game, they could expand the map size as well!
If you're saying "64" bots, are you playing on PS4 or Xbox One (Old Gen)? Cause those are the only two consoles that are limited with 64 bots.

EDIT: Just launched into a lobby and for some reason it is limited to 32 v 32. 64 Bots in total running on PC. Maybe EA will make a custom server setup screen so we can change that in the future?
Solo battles currently seem to have plenty of action regardless of what the bot count is.
As for the reduced map size in solo play, this is actually a *good* thing IMO. After playing the beta, I really wasn't looking forward to gigantic, empty maps.

I only have 10gb hotspots a month to use for my internet. Is this enough? I mean is it worth it if that's all I can use?
Retro, I will look into this. As far as I understand it still has to run a connection to a server just as if you were playing multiplayer. However, if you would like to try it for yourself I would suggest taking and using EA play. Its 5$ for a month and they give you 10hrs of 2042 to try and lots of other games as well. Let me know if you have any other questions and ill try to do a little more research on the matter!

@@retrolightman6737 thanks for the compliment lol! Always been my favorite to play solo or co-op so I’ve had a bit of practice! The difference between the 5$ one and the 15$ is that with the 5$ one you get 10 hours of 2042 and with the 15$ you get unlimited access.
Can you unlock specialist skins in bot lobby’s?
Im so confused. When i try to play solo. there are only a handful of bots in the game. How do you add them?
Typically in solo in all out warfare it does about 32v32 for the bots but if you are on portal doing solo I have another video that you can find on my channel that explains just that!

Great question! They do indeed! I have played and mastered many aircraft through breakthrough and conquest solo

What if I’m playing a really niche game mode (one that I made myself in portal) and the other 3 human players don’t join, can I still play? That would suck if I had to have 3 human players bc if my friends can’t join you would be stuck in a waiting screen
You can still play by yourself! I have a few videos that go over setup of AI within portal! Check them out on the channel!

Jake, great question! I hope they do add this feature in the future. But as of now, they do not have bot commands in game. However, they may implement this later on!

You can! I use solo to unlock all the attachments for my guns! all bot kills count towards gun progression!

Max bots on solo is 32v32, if you play portal with a buddy it ups to 64v64! It does indeed work on all 5th generation consoles!

Currently there is no way to switch teams. They automatically put you into a team which is usually the attacker. You can absolutely level your Ka52! You can master weapons to T3 of mastery using solo and co-op!

Cool there's bots. Bots arent completely dumb. There not 2 bad just maybe could be a little harder. But yeah can't get weapon attachment unlocks. Only in PvP
Definitely would like to see the AI built out to play more like players. Maybe as gaming and computing advances, we will start to see logic in AI a lot clearer and get some more human like experiences!
How's the artificial intelligence level?
I've always said that BF3 and 4 would be the perfect game if they had a solo non-campaign mode that gave experience with the multiplayer game modes. Sadly, very few games do that. Good to know 2042 has this feature. I am still skeptical of buying any AAA games because they feel like an incomplete beta test we pay premium money for. I still wanna be able to unlock stuff, but without dealing with sweaty tryhards. DICE unfucked a seriously fucked Star Wars Battlefront 2 and made it good but fucked up on Battlefield 5.
I totally agree. I appreciate solid campaigns or even small solo or co-op play because sometimes I just really want to play by myself. You can level up and unlock weapons but not the attachments, hopefully they will change that soon! SWBF2 is fantastic now and it seems to be hit or miss for their studio. Also EA play and EA play Pro allow you to play most of EAs titles for about 5$ to 15$ a month. It’s worth it if you don’t want to drop 60 on 2042!
@@theepicscot DICE should use Battlefront 2 (after they fixed it of course) as an example. Sure, XP rates would be lower, but you would still level up and gain attachments. I got all the weapon unlocks in Battlefront 2 ONLY PLAYING CO-OP. None of the multiplayer BS. I'd rather grind a co-op game, even if it takes a little longer, if it means I get to enjoy the game. I feel co-op players are heavily neglected these days.
I totally agree, would be very very cool to see a similar experience! Hopefully they stick to their guns and really polish this game like they did with SWBF2!

Im late but you do sadly need an online subscription, atleast that's what I've heard. Apparently you can't even get past the title screen without online

They do in solo and co-op until you hit T3 on the weapon mastery or gadget/specialist! This is subject to change and hopefully they will release that cap so you can do full mastery!
